Just wondering how bad the virus is where you live.

I am in the PR7 preston area and I know of 13 deaths in the hospital near me.

OP posts:

Swansea here, but dont know actual figure cos it seems to be released as total casea in Wales. Unless someone else can enlighten me, they dont seem to tell us,here by region...

Glittercandle · 05/04/2020 21:00

35+ deaths at my local hospital- it’s really worrying.

BeyondMymymymyCorona · 05/04/2020 21:04

Gwent. Don't think I need say any more :(

Jellykat · 05/04/2020 21:16

Beyond you're in the Aneurin Bevin hot spot aren't you?, so sorry to hear that Sad

We're not too bad here, Hwyel Dda is at 189 confirmed cases.

Jellykat · 05/04/2020 21:20

Fear Swansea bay health board is 378 confirmed cases up to today.
I can't find a Welsh breakdown of deaths by area anywhere either..

SoloMummy · 05/04/2020 21:58

Sadly in the top 10 for cases.

BrieAndChilli · 05/04/2020 22:06

@BeyondMymymymyCorona I’m i. The same health board area as you. I know of a couple of people who went into the Gwent for something else and came out with the virus.
We are staying in bar a weekly shop but I’m very worried about needing medical care for something else and having to go into the gwent.

Fearofawelshplanet · 06/04/2020 10:49

Beyond I have read your posts several times and I have contantly worried for you and all those in your area.Flowers its a very strange and worrying time.
Jellycat, I know I have looked extensively. They did tell you the location of the deaths at the beginning for wales but have now stopped. I can only conclude that they are possibly protecting peoples families?

Fearofawelshplanet · 06/04/2020 10:51

Porcupine, I relocated to Swansea long story short I lived her years ago and always wanted to return, I love Wales but I am frm Sheffield and very worried for my family right now. Sounds like they have been on top of testing though.

Fearofawelshplanet · 06/04/2020 10:52

Brie - same goes out to youFlowers

zen1 · 06/04/2020 10:57

More than 130 deaths in my Trust (SE London). Several hundred confirmed cases in the borough.

pintofguinness · 06/04/2020 10:58

Rural northern Scotland - something like 0.0076% of population of health board have tested positive, if not less as I’m only counting population for one council and health board covers three - two rural and a city - about 200 people tested +ve . No idea of deaths . Not sure if we can find that out tbh .

Worrying people up here are going to start relaxing which is not the answer, many many friends in NHS and critical care especially concerned it’s on its way, just a bit more slowly .

MinkowskisButterfly · 06/04/2020 10:59

I am within Morecambe Bay Hospital Trust and my local hospital within that trust has 17 deaths and I believe the trust (pretty certain not the hospital) has close to 900 confirmed cases.

BeyondMymymymyCorona · 06/04/2020 11:00

Thanks all Flowers

Brie I've just written on another thread, I had really bad chest pain in the night and refused to call OOH for advice. I figured - worst case scenario - I'm possibly having a heart attack, but a heart attack at home surely can't be worse than a heart attack swiftly followed by CV (fwiw I don't think it was a heart attack)

pintofguinness · 06/04/2020 11:01

I’ve got that wrong - 194 confirmed cases out of +500000 people . So that’s about 0.4% .

Fearofawelshplanet · 06/04/2020 13:42

Wow Beyond, i dont have any words of any use but I just wanted to message I hope your okay. What a situation to be in when your in pain.

middleager · 06/04/2020 13:45

37 deaths at my nearest hospital
340 cases
Population 220,000

middleager · 06/04/2020 13:50

Sorry 280k in the town so is that 0.121%?

kevintheorangecarrot · 06/04/2020 13:52

479 cases out of local population 445000. Only confirmed though so I'm sure there's way more than that.

TARSCOUT · 06/04/2020 14:08

Central.scotland .06% tested positive. Know of only 1 confirmed death personally and 3 unconfirmed but unexpected.

Fearofawelshplanet · 06/04/2020 17:31

27 in wales today Blush was 12 over weekend, my heart goes out to the families...

Lyricallie · 06/04/2020 17:34

102 according to BBC website in the Highlands. However I had read a few days ago there was none in my county (Highlands is big and has a few counties). So not sure if that is still the same now.

PicsInRed · 06/04/2020 17:36

One of those emergency hospitals is being built near me. So, presumably, rather bad. We did have some fucking stupid mass gatherings towards the end of the Freedom Times, so that would do it I guess. Hmm

Fearofawelshplanet · 07/04/2020 22:23

19 in wales today...

kevintheorangecarrot · 07/04/2020 22:27

@Fearofawelshplanet is that in Cardiff?
