New study says it’s airborne as well as droplet borne

This is seriously worrying. A study has shown that the virus remains in the air hours after the Covid positive person has left. So this means going to the supermarket is ultra high risk even if you keep 2m apart. I haven’t been wearing a mask due to thinking if I kept 2m away from people I’d be ok. But I’m wearing one now!

Sorry it’s a daily mail link.

I think it’s safe to say that if it was as airborn as the DM want you to beleive, we have all caught it and the only ones who haven’t been ill are those that are naturally immune

Yes impossible, therefore what a load of tripe

UYScuti · 01/04/2020 18:28

there are many who test positive but no symptoms, many of us will have been exposed but wont be ill or notice anything wrong, so we do in a sense have some natural immunity/resistance

TestBank · 01/04/2020 18:33

Up to 25% asymptomatic

NemophilistRebel · 01/04/2020 18:35

Yes 25% they think so that would mean a huge amount more showing symptoms by now

edition.cnn.com/2020/04/01/europe/iceland-testing-coronavirus-intl/index.html
'Some of the revelations have been stark. Although fewer than 1% of the tests came back positive for the virus, the company's founder Dr. Kári Stefánsson told CNN that around 50% of those who tested positive said they were asymptomatic, confirming multiple studies that show that asymptomatic, or mildly symptomatic, people have played an important role in spreading the virus'

FFS anything published in the Daily Mail is officially fake news...why would you share this?

It's very easy to sneer at the daily mail and most of the time I guess I would too. If this was just an article wriiten by one of their journos, ie that journalists opinion I'd agree. But it seems a decent study be a reputable university. It's not the DM's opinion.

Ponderland As if today, our Trust has new guidance telling us to wear PPE for all patients; surgical mask, visor if thought necessary (coughers and sneezers), apron, short gloves. We can keep the mask on for the full session (half day)!

I'm CT so most of my patients are outpatients, but assisting the inpatient scanner with many 'suspected' and a few actual Covids; when it's long sleeve plastic gown, doubled short gloves and Proper masks ( I can't recall the name- we call them FFS masks! 😂)

This video is a couple of days old but discusses WHO claim that CV is not airborne and MIT research from about 10 mins onward. There has been evidence for months but no masks available.

Here is the day before
