I’m really interested to see peoples working arrangements now that we have ‘locked down’ and how this crisis might really affect the economy. Are you:
A) working from home and doing 80-100 percent of your job as usual
B) at home and not able to work but still being paid
C) made redundant/laid off during crisis
D) a key worker, still going out to work as usual (including teachers)
E) not a key worker but still being made to physically go into work as usual.

None of the above. My dh is in the extremely vulnerable group (has letter) and is shielding for 12 weeks. I work with the public so have decided to take some time off work but it is unpaid so not sure how long it will last.

He could move to his parents for the duration but wants to stay at home.

Blingismything · 29/03/2020 18:42

*I am a key worker

D. OH is A, was home based anyway but now no longer going out to see customers/to his base. We are not sure whether that will last and whether he might become B or C though.

I keep seeing people saying about the massive parties/nights out they're going to have when this is all over and all I can think is great, more work for a lot of those of us in the D category.

'A'

I know someone who was 'E' last week for three days and someone pointed out the government's advice Shock. Their profession tends to have few union members to stand up for them.
