I'm at home with the family, husband and 3 teenagers. Had a long walk this morning to try and gear me up for a productive day and just realised I've done nothing really. There's loads I could be doing, ironing, cleaning, baking, decorating etc but I'm really struggling to focus and get into things. I feel lethargic and anxious as I'm sure so many do. It's not that I can't think of things to do, I just find myself not doing them, for any longer than 10 minutes anyway!!!!
Kick me up the backside please.

Stellabellawella · 28/03/2020 17:46

I made a cottage pie for at risk parents. Took it to them which is a 10 minute drive away. Felt very guilty for being out. Left it on the door step and blew kisses and give hand heart signs at the window. Came home and cooked for the children. Took the youngest round the block 3 times on her scooter. Showered and now having a glass on wine on MN. Bathrooms need cleaning. They can wait!

itssquidstella · 28/03/2020 17:49

Cleaned the bathroom, went for a long walk, read my book, had a nap, did an online yoga class ☺️

FallonSwift · 28/03/2020 17:54

Got up, took dog for 4 mile walk early this morning. Tidied and cleaned the house, had a brief potter in the garden. Now on sofa MNing and deciding whether to have a takeaway for tea or not.

HundredMilesAnHour · 28/03/2020 17:54

Got up early (couldn't sleep)
Did an online live HIIT class (with my gym) in the communal gardens while my neighbours were still sleeping
Cooked breakfast
Surfed the net
Made lunch
Baked some cookies
Went for a walk for an hour (and was horrified at the long queue outside my Sainsbury's nearby)
Collected some weights that my gym is loaning me (on my walk home)
Popped over to a neighbour so they could give me some buffalo mozzarella (through the window) as their restaurant has closed so they're sharing all their stock with their neighbours. So lovely of them!
Had a chat with more neigbours (at a safe distance) who live in the same block as me who had also been collecting mozzarella / sharing yeast for baking.
Took some photos of my building to send to the vegetable box company who will start delivering to me next week
Ate the cookies I baked
Ate my dinner (early)
Now back to surfing and wondering why this day seems so very, very long.

HoldMyLobster · 28/03/2020 17:54

I've done some gardening.

That's it so far.

It's OK to do nothing some days. We're in the midst of a global pandemic.

Bacardi101 · 28/03/2020 17:57

I am currently living in a one room refuge with myself and two young DD’s and my god it’s hard work i have zero motivation and am trying not to cry with bordem the thought of this going on for weeks on end makes me feel quite sick I know I need to get out of this rut but I am struggling to do that!

RadioRodeo · 28/03/2020 17:58

5k run this morning, avoided a phone call from DM, cleaned kitchen cupboards out and did a stocktake of the food we have. I baked some biscuits with a load of random leftover 'bits' after clearing the cupboards, then listened to music while painting, just eaten dinner and awaiting a Skype meet up with friends later.

I didn't think I'd done much but writing it down I'm quite chuffed!

Lolimax · 28/03/2020 17:58

Worked an A and E shift (grim) came home had a quick bath then on the sofa cuddling the dogs. Belly pork and wedges in the oven. Early night as I'm in again tomorrow.

Thorilicious · 28/03/2020 18:01

Did a workout class this morning, tried to feign interest in Minecraft/ Fortnite/ Ryan's toy review.
Sorted out the conservatory, tidied upstairs, washing up.
Played in the garden, and then took the dcs out on their bikes.
I feel exhausted. I'd normally do the above non stop, but I've been taking regular breaks, and snuggling up with a hot water bottle.

ironicname · 28/03/2020 18:01

I've read, done minimal amounts of laundry and housework (a lot less than this sentence even suggests). Ate a sausage roll. Had a nap. Cooked spaghetti with Parmesan and Marmite for the kids.
DH is going to cook dinner.

Unescorted · 28/03/2020 18:05

Made a cup of coffee
Made a second cup of coffee
Surfed the internet
Made another cup of coffee
Emptied the dishwasher & refilled it
Changed the oil in the chip pan
went back to bed for a well earned rest
Did a stint at the food bank
Admired the social distancing queue outside the co-op
came back
made a cup of tea
ate ice cream
reheated cup of tea
put chicken on to roast

Aliceinwanderland · 28/03/2020 18:05

Cleaned. A child's bedroom which was a tip and involved a major row to get her to work with me on it, massive clear out in kitchen, deep clean bathroom, dusted and hovered. Then long bath with my book. Thinking about making dinner.

GrouchyKiwi · 28/03/2020 18:06

I sat in bed all day, using my computer and reading. I've been sick with tonsillitis and other things for more than a week so I needed a day in bed. DH has held the fort with the children and dog, and brought me everything I asked for all day.

I'm now sitting on the sofa because I still have no energy. DH continues to hold the fort.

Aliceinwanderland · 28/03/2020 18:06

I meant hoovered! Would be amazing if I had hovered! Grin

Chrisinthemorning · 28/03/2020 18:08

Very nothing sort of day.
I did some admin jobs this morning because haven’t been able to get in the study all week due to DH WFH.
Then I decided the study was a tip so we tidlied and cleaned it.
I had a long bath.
DH and DS made a shadow puppet theatre and a rhubarb crumble.
DH went for a run. DS did FaceTime with friends.
Now HM pizza, wine and a film on new Disney plus.
House party later with friends.

lanbro · 28/03/2020 18:09

Sorted out transferring an old bank acc to a new one which included me getting locked out of online banking resulting in being on hold for an hour, passed some time at least.

Finished my book. Tidied up a bit then started on the Hendricks...I've got lots of little jobs to do but spacing them out! Have moved in with xh temporarily for the sake of not moving the kids backwards and forwards, no intention of spending my time deep cleaning his house!!

SanFrancisco49er · 28/03/2020 18:09

Had a lie in, did some exercise in the morning, watched TV while we waited for my husband's bread to bake for lunch. Had lunch, slept for 2.5 hours. Simultaneously walked around sitting room and watched TV. Now thinking about dinner and a film tonight.
Definitely on a go slow but we have weeks of this ahead so not too worried about doing loads everyday.

TheHoundOfWinchester · 28/03/2020 18:12

8 hour shift in care home, got home planned dinner. Will be having an early night ready for a 15 hour shift tomorrow!

ihearttc · 28/03/2020 18:12

Drove the 50 mile round trip to my parents to take medication that the pharmacy messed up (my 80 year old Dad went 4 times yesterday and I decided enough was enough).
Then went to Tesco to get food for the week.
Cooked bacon sandwiches for lunch
Done a load of washing and cleaned the bathroom
We are having a freezer surprise for tea then going to watch a film later with both DS.

I’m a TA so was in school a couple of days this week but not in now until Easter holidays.

Pinkvici22 · 28/03/2020 18:13

Cleaned, cooked and baked, shopped for essentials for us and my parents, had a complete clear out of my office, done the washing, assisted 7 year old FaceTiming her friends and did a Youtube Dance Workout with her!

I’m exhausted and I’ve opened the champagne 🥂

Snorkelface · 28/03/2020 18:13

Went out for a walk at the crack of dawn when I realised if I walked far enough I could get to both Boots and supermarket that were open very early. I was the only one shopping in both, it was a bit surreal. Walked back streets there and back, never saw a soul. Tidied, caught up on phone calls. Didn't do anything from grand list of things to do, tomorrow. Due to circumstances beyond anyone's control other half is elsewhere during whole of lockdown. Haven't spoken to a real in-front of me face, had any physical contact or really had eye contact with anyone in a week. This is how it's going to be for a while. Fine with own company but felt uncomfortably odd.

northernlittledonkey · 28/03/2020 18:14

We've had a lazy day.

Did a workout this morning, with DD, facetimed family. Lunch, fire, sorting out shopping online and support for aged family member. ( annoying as I did the same last week and they were rude to volunteers - so frustrating for all) and then spent 3 hours getting them onto online deliveries etc. So that they can't be rude to volunteers again. Purchased DDs birthday present and cooking dinner now.
