I'm not joking. I live next to a particular denomination church (not CoE) and there are about 12 people in the grounds having photos taken with the bride & groom who are both in full traditional white dress and suit!! WTF?!

I'm not that cryptic, Samt :-).

I meant what I said, that photo is ace! I tried to be humourous about it (that was maybe a lead balloon moment). Seriously, it wouldn't surprise me if the Mail picked it up, it's such an eerie picture.

Since I posted, I've been reading up on the Plymouth Brethren and the Exclusive Brethen which has several sects. Interesting reading, some of the stories of ex members are quite sinister.

This thread sent me down a Plymouth Brethren rabbit hole last night.. thank you for the distraction OP!

Ah I see, thank you for explaining, I don’t always find it easy to read the intent behind posts 😊

Most of us are like that at times - we don't know eachother after all, cannot imagine the expression on another poster's face or hear her/him giggle.

The Plymouth Brethren Christian Church is extremely interesting (if you're interested in such things, I am), I felt quite uneasy about them after reading up, especially about their exclusive schools.
