There's speculation that he will implement a full lockdown.

How will this differ from what we're doing now?

It means the fucking idiots that have been out this weekend wont be able to go out.

ENGLAND IS GOING TO BE ALOT WORSE THAN ITALY !!!
Because people are ignoring the advice

Stupid idiots !!!

AWryGiraffe · 23/03/2020 19:01

Sorry, what time is it on again?

TangoWhisky · 23/03/2020 19:03

I really hope we have a lock down

Me and my partner have lost a loved one each this past week.

And my sibling also has it

None of them have been in contact with each other

Our two loved ones that have passed wont be able to have a proper funeral.

I pray for a full lockdown.

BuckingFrolics · 23/03/2020 19:04

Bloody hell

GabsAlot · 23/03/2020 19:05

we're in no type of lockdown right now

i still dont think he will implement it untuil the corona bill has passed on thursday-i reckon all non essential shops will have to close and only goin out in 2's

FlamingoAndJohn · 23/03/2020 19:06

So because some fucking idiots can’t follow the rules those of us who have been sensible now can’t even walk around the block.

Fuck every single one of those people who went off to the seaside or beauty spot. If/when we have a full lockdown in the next few days it’ll be their fault. Fuck you all. This is why we can’t have nice things.

Maighdeann · 23/03/2020 19:06

I'm very sorry for your losses @TangoWhisky

Lovemusic33 · 23/03/2020 19:06

I don’t think it will be full lockdown like we are seeing in Italy and Spain, I think police will have more power to arrest people that are not following the social distancing rules, they are talking about closing all camp sites, holiday park and hotels, closing local parks and other places where people are congregating, closing off car parks to local hotspots. I think only supermarkets and chemists will remain open, all over shops will probably close.

DustyMaiden · 23/03/2020 19:06

Heard a rumour they are housing NHS staff in the unis, sounds like an excellent idea.

FlamingoAndJohn · 23/03/2020 19:06

Oh Tango, that’s dreadful. Not being able to have a funeral is just dreadful.

CrowleysBentley · 23/03/2020 19:07

If they shut down everything but supermarkets and pharmacies, people will not be able to charge electric and gas key meters. They will need to at least have post offices open too.

Vix20678 · 23/03/2020 19:10

My dads funeral is booked for 2nd April. :(

LadyTiredWinterBottom2 · 23/03/2020 19:10

There will be notice for a lockdown. Even IF he announces it, it will be 24 - 48 hours notice.

HeIenaDove · 23/03/2020 19:11

YY Crowleys. Four million furious households!

cloudbutter · 23/03/2020 19:11

@vix20678 so sorry to hear you lost your dad. Offering a hand hold 🌺

Nammech111 · 23/03/2020 19:13

8.30pm tonight

Sunshine1239 · 23/03/2020 19:13

I hope he is specific about jobs open

The key worker list is too big that even I lockdown half the country will still be going out to work and mixing
Going for walks at lunch time etc

He needs to dictate skeleton staff only in specific jobs

My job isn’t even essential and I’ve been told I have to go in throughout

Letseatgrandma · 23/03/2020 19:13

I presume thousands and thousands of schools will still be open like we are now though?

Sunshine1239 · 23/03/2020 19:14

Exactly schools open and far too many still working on a lockdown
I don’t think it’ll be the big difference people expect

GrumpyMug2 · 23/03/2020 19:14

As someone mentioned earlier, either British Gas need to suspend PAYG payments and then allow us to clear debt later or post offices to remain open. Me and my son can't survive without electricity and gas

HeIenaDove · 23/03/2020 19:14

Thanks Thanks to those who have lost loved ones from Coronavirus or other illnesses.

YeahYou · 23/03/2020 19:14

The Prime Minister's address will be at 8:30pm

HeIenaDove · 23/03/2020 19:16

eon edf energy npower etc they all need to do the same.

Vix20678 · 23/03/2020 19:16

Thanks @cloudbutter and @HeIenaDove. It's a really extra crappy time to be grieving.

Mythologies · 23/03/2020 19:17

Not quite - the fault lies absolutely, squarely, solely with a delinquent government who have failed to take any action whatsoever.
nice things as you call them are what allows the virus to be transmitted
