Did God create Coronavirus?

I'd really like to have a respectful discussion if possible!
I'm an atheist. I've seen a lot of churches etc posting on our local pages offering live services/ prayers etc.
I have to ask and I'm too scared to ask them directly
Surely if God created all, and is master of all our fates, he created Coronavirus? Or is it one of those 'We are in charge of our own destiny, he can't stop bad things from happening' situations?
Genuinely interested and hope this is taken in the vein it's intended.

It all depends on what you think 'God' actually is. I certainly don't think God is some beardy old man sat in a cloud. To me, God is a force of nature, it's the way flowers are bright colours to attract bees, it's the way birds know how to fly in a V, babies being born, what you'd call Mother Nature. I was brought up as a Unitarian though, they don't really do God.

I struggle with a line that we’re all born in sin. As a child I attended church every Sunday. Did bible study group and was confirmed. As a late teen I stopped going. My adult mind questioned the premise that if you sin, seek God’s Grace and you are forgiven. To sin again. And again. Maybe, God’s pissed off with the Catholic Church. His representative on earth has, over time done a consistently crap job.

And we’re not all born in sin. How ridiculous is that? You’re messed up before you even start!

No, there’ll be no more church going for me.

I don’t believe we are all born sinners but that we are born into what is inherently a sinful world. That how I explain the words of the baptism service to parents. Of course their baby isn’t a sinner but the world is sinful.

You know what Christians are like; god gets the credit for the good stuff but when it’s bad stuff it’s all “god moves in mysterious ways” blah blah.

It’s all nonsense of course.

No god/s so no. It was caused by Chinese people trafficking endangered wildlife killing it on pavements and cutting it up for people to buy and eat.

If he did, he didn't feel fit to spare this guy.
