The other thread looked like it ended I know folks wanted a second thread.

I think I'm now day 13

Chest still heavy. Cough disappeared. I'm hoping it's on it's way now

*Porcupine’ definitely isolate as study has shown digestive symptoms can be the first which is why this is spreading so much,

Parkandride · 22/03/2020 08:04

Just joining, Hope everyones ok, day 3 but did have a bit of breathlessness earlier in the week. Symptoms are:

-Dry cough now and again
-Weird chest/lung pain sort of like breathing in on a freezing morning or heartburn, that comes and goes
-Breathlessness, just breathing more deeply and noticing it after climbing the stairs

Only thing I'm not sure about is lack of a temperature, is this not the main symptom? Don't have a proper medical thermometer, it's around 36.5 but I don't rate it's reliability.

Casino218 · 22/03/2020 08:19

I don't know who that person is in this YouTube clip and neither do you? He doesn't even say.

I’ve posted on the other thread but just to say I’m now 4 weeks in, lungs keep feeling as though theyre getting better then two days later the awful burning and exhaustion comes back for a few more days. I’m asthmatic and have had one course of antibiotics. I didn’t take the prescribed steroids due to the advice around NSAIDS. Wondering when it’s going to end!

Casino218 · 22/03/2020 08:42

@YouAreTheEggManIAmTheWalrus
4 weeks in wow. You must have been one of the first cases

I have a slight sore throat for 3 days and occasional runny eyes, no fever. A little prickly in the throat, nothing much but definitely something new. Occasional cough but have had a cough for over 2 months.
Had a surprise single round of diarrhea the day before yesterday.
Is this the beginning of something?

Porcupineinwaiting · 22/03/2020 08:53

@Mango possibly the start of something. Sounds similar to how I started but I'm not sure what it is Ive started with. After my first bout of diarrhoea I had a day of feeling fine then it came back and I was wiped out with chills. I think you will just have to wait and see but if you can self isolate, I would do so.

Casino218 · 22/03/2020 08:53

@MangoesAreMyFavourite my DH started with diarrhoea. He never gets that. Then he came down with rest of symptoms. He hasn't really had a cough though but high temps he has.

Standrewsschool · 22/03/2020 09:02

My symptoms are different - temperature, nausea, headache initially (when temperature was highest) and tiredness Also, lightheadiness. Cough stopped when temperature started. I still feel, a week on, I lack motivation to do anything. Still have slight temperature, 37.5-38, rather than reaching 40.

Asthmatics should not be stopping their preventative medacation. Good control of asthma is paramount in your bodies ability to fight Covid-19. See medscape advice below.

ShastaBeast · 22/03/2020 10:11

There’s not enough evidence about inhaled steroids either way. As I don’t have severe asthma I’m giving myself and child the best chance to fight this without inhibiting the immune response. However some cases of flu are fatal because the immune system over reacts, so steroids are helpful.

ShastaBeast · 22/03/2020 10:13

But it’s ultimately my decision and will only be a few weeks at most. I only stopped when it was getting worse.

puguin86 · 22/03/2020 10:27

I'm asthmatic 111 told me to take steroids. Chest is so heavy and tight. I'm 34 and haven't been hospitalised in years and I am freaking out that it will get worse. Been like this since Thursday / Friday. Hoping it gets better soon. I saw my mum last Sunday. Terrified I might have given it to her as she has COPD. Hoping not if my symptoms came out towards end of the week x

NeverTalksToStrangers · 22/03/2020 18:32

I feel a good bit better today.
But still running temp and not wearing a bra.

Keep getting very tired though and conking out.

zigzagbetty · 22/03/2020 19:43

On day 3 and feel like it's really gone to my chest, feel really woozy and light headed. I've got a cpad machine for sleep apnoea which seems to help. My mouth is really sore aswell.

zigzagbetty · 22/03/2020 19:44

Sorry day 2! Also temp is coming and going.

uncomfortablydumb53 · 23/03/2020 00:32

May I join please as I've just had a lightbulb moment!
I've been feeling sick for a few days and have had a "tight bra band" feeling... similar to baby pressing on diaphragm when pregnant) but only mildly
Last Thursday I had one violent cough which made me vomit out of nowhere) and also throat constriction
Temp has been 35.9-36.6 No fever

uncomfortablydumb53 · 23/03/2020 00:37

I have also had random Diahorrea and heartburn but put that down to Tomato sandwiches!

Porcupineinwaiting · 25/03/2020 09:04

Morning all
Day 5 here. Had a really crappy night, shaking with chills, burning chest then a really nasty episode of breathlessness. Luckily I have an spo2 meter so I could tell that I could breath even though it felt as though I couldn't.

Felt better from 7, trying to eat a piece of toast and rest waiting for it a to ramp up again later.

Hope you are all improving.
