Will be there be another public announcement later today?

NeckPainChairSearch · 17/03/2020 15:58

I believe so, Countess. Who knows where we'll be today? More schools closing of their own volition - the government is at risk of appearing to be led by events.

I'm just watching bbc news and wondering if there will be another announcement.

CuriousaboutSamphire · 17/03/2020 16:13

There is a financial one today - information on what will be done to help businesses, self employed. So SSP for the employed will be raised a little and I might even get some help too (sole trader)

I work in a special school. We had a meeting today once the children went home.

The HT more or less said that before any decision to close is made he has to have a conversation with the DofE and also the local country council education people. Currently we plan to remain open .....unless Boris advises otherwise. He says he cannot just choose to close of his own violation but the number of cases in our country is relatively low.

I have no issue with working on even if we do close. All the while I am healthy I would be up for childcare for children of key workers for example.

We will wait and see.
