I am so angry with our government

I think I have Coronavirus. Started with the hacking dry, cough on Monday, then the temperature etc. My children are the same. I'm self isolating at the advice of my GP.

I work for a local authority, have seen numerous members of the public in the last few weeks as I always would along with staff within my office and from other offices.

I will not be tested. My case will not be included in the stats. I could have passed this onto numerous people. Some very vulnerable and high risk.

The governments action and advice on this is s fucking travesty. An absolute disgrace. No checks for people entering or leaving the country, no testing of those with symptoms unless you're at sea ha door, no banning of large events, no schools shutting.

Not only have public services and the NHS been systematically dismantled over recent years, but now when there is a genuine situation of catastrophe, the government are white washing as it happens. And nobody seems to be absolutely furious about this.

What the fuck has happened. When did we become like this. Like lambs to slaughter.

@flipflapflopgoesthedolphinshop exactly, and we have the experts doing that for us too. They haven’t worked any of this out on the back of an envelope like some people would like to believe.

I think everyone who posts here should sign off with their relevant credentials at the bottom.

The lack of testing in the U.K. is clearly masking the number of people who have the virus. This appears deliberate and political by the government to avoid lockdown, which would lead to problems with the economy.

The government have an agenda and it does not include bailing out companies or placing Brexit under threat.

I'm feeling a lot better today. Yesterday was horrific, my trachea felt like it was being squeezed and I was struggling to breath.

The government need to get a handle of this. It is true, the vulnerable will struggle to survive this.

I honestly can't believe the UK population are standing by and letting this happen.

We are an experiment at the moment with no proven outcomes to base it on.

@LandOfAThousandJumpers why should we sign off our credentials?

@buttonmoonb4tea

I agree with your last post. I say that because I think it is relevant when people are asserting their opinions on public health and immunology, stating sagely that the government position actually makes a lot of sense, they find it credible (and vice versa).

buttonmoonb4tea · 14/03/2020 12:47

Ok @LandOfAThousandJumpers I understand, not sure I feel comfortable putting my credentials though.
