Can we do a lighthearted thread?

I am as worried and terrified as the next person but wondered if a lighthearted thread would help to ease the stress?

On a lighter note, we have no chocolate or crisps at home, hoping to rectify this in the next few days but how does one refrain from eating the apocalypse supplies?!

I'm in Ireland so no school for ds for the next 2 weeks.
They've been given homework packs for the next two weeks to keep them busy. Ds was off school sick today so didn't get his. His teacher took the pack home with him so we can collect it and ds wont miss out on his work. He will be delighted when he finds out

I was sent home from work yesterday as I have a cough. I've had the cough for the last 5 weeks from a flu and ear infection - I had medical treatment and Coronavirus wasn't in the country at the time it started. I have to wfh until the cough is gone.
But I've just heard that some people in the office think I have the virus and had to leave for testing because I left mid day

I wish I hadn’t opened this thread because now I’m craving tinned mandarin oranges that I haven’t tasted or wantedsince 1985.

I bought gin and plenty of tonic, dp ordered 2 cases of wine, we're sorted (as long as I can get down the motorway to his house before we get Italian style movement restrictions but my kind boss is setting up the computer so I can work from home, just not necessarily mine!)

I'm now thinking though that I might actually buy some chopped tomatoes and lentils

I bought two extra tins of tomatoes last night, pathetic!!

I saw a Facebook post about reading 'covid-19' to the tune of 'come on Eileen'. I can't stop hearing the tune now whenever anyone says it

@MadamePewter - yes, me too! I went on Wednesday (usually go every 3 weeks) and wondered when I would next get them done. Have bought some Charles Worthington spray which is supposed to cover grey but apparently it makes your hair sticky! Not sure which is worse! DH has never seen my grey hair!

@Orangeblossom78 do you live next door to my MIL? That shopping list sounds suspiciously familiar!

Don't think so Milline, sorry, she just has one son who is single maybe very similar!

@MilkTrayLimeBarrel it does make hair sticky band is also easy to spray over your face..! It’s better than roots though. I go every 3 weeks too and have gone lighter in preparation. I’m also contemplating buying hair dye or sourcing some type of prohibition style speakeasy salon...

DH has just announced that if we all get quarantined, he’s going to use the time to sort through the toy boxes and send loads to the charity shop. Then he goes ‘And if you get it even better, I can go through your wardrobe when you’re stuck in bed and make you tell me which things you want to keep and which we can charity shop’ This is not an idle threat, he did it to me before when I was in bed with some nasty or another! I’m a keeper of stuff... he is a chucker outer

We've had to re-buy at least four lots of apocalypse chocolate biscuits.

I'm also getting the loo roll aisle embarrassment

I've been trying to panic buy the new peach gin that Asda claims to have as an exclusive but it seems they are making it up to get people in the doors... not sure why as there is nothing much else on the shelves either
