I ordered some from Morrison's yesterday and was delivered today but it's out of stock now. Apparently you can make your own with surgical spirit and aloe Vera gel from a chemist.

Boots the other day, I was ordering some other bits anyway so just added 1 thinking it would likely be cancelled anyway but it arrived. This was early in the morning, so maybe worth checking periodically.

People are clearly making their own - I was in Holland and Barrett earlier and the Aloe Vera gel was flying off the shelves!

No, but I was in Boots earlier and someone was asking about it. The sales assistant says that it was all sold in out 10mins, which implies stock is still being delivered to stores. It might be worth camping out at a large Boots at opening time, if you can manage it?

Nope. I bought surgical spirit on Tuesday, today my local Boots has none left.

Annoyingly I used to keep big bottles of hand sanitizer when we lived in South America but haven bought any since moving back 🤦‍♀️

That ^^ was because of earthquakes and potential of no running water.

I know hand sanitiser is useful, especially for public transport etc but saw these tweets earlier about making it, just for information.

Superdrug in Manchester arndale had some fresh in today but it was literally flying off the shelves as they unpacked it, I think the whole delivery sold out in the 5 minutes I was in the store. They're restricting it to 2 bottles per person. However the fact they had it in and were selling it suggests the supply chain is working and more will keep coming in.

PLEASE DO NOT make your own sanitiser people. If done incorrectly, it can increase your risk of infection due to damaging the skin on your hands.

Just use soap and water where available.

There's a Clinell one from amazon prime but it's £9 for 50ml

Unlikely place to look for it, but I was in France last week and Flying Tiger Copenhagen had massive bottles at €2 or €3. All pharmacies were sold out but they still had loads of stock, I presume because FTC isn’t the first place you’d go looking for hand gel!

Gah, just realised after doing a bit of checking online, that the one I ordered is only 40 percent alcohol, so no use for covid19. Ingredients are not listed on the website - I just came across the information on a forum after doing a search.

If i can manage to track any down, what handgels have 60% alcohol?

Aldi , Purell, cuticura all do.
