Hand gel in stock in savers

400ml for £1.49 then £4 delivery

Limit is 2 per order

RoseAndRose · 11/03/2020 07:29

It's appearing sporadically in various shops.

Tiger have now sold out, but had it in stock much longer than other places, so worth keeping an eye on, ditto smaller convenience stores

SassyBrassyBitch · 11/03/2020 07:48

Thankyou Fraggle

Littlehouseinthebigcity · 11/03/2020 07:52

Primark had lots in stock when I was there. Again probably not where people think to look.

SassyBrassyBitch · 11/03/2020 07:55

I have the primark ones. The round ones and i don't think they have any alcohol in. It says hand wash not sanitiser

Someone posted this link the other day, it’s been going in and out of stock, currently showing as in stock.

11MrsLuther · 11/03/2020 08:02

I ordered carex 300ml some from superdrug online yesterday.

AhoyMrBeaver · 11/03/2020 08:04

I have some coming from Superdrug that I ordered last week. It was luck more than judgement, I think it's been sold out since.

*The savers medex gel is only 45% alcohol so won't work on coronavirus**

It doesn't say this on the savers website but the ingredients are listed on Lloyds pharmacy for the same product.

It is so irresponsible of Savers them not to put this info by the product- people will use it thinking they're protected when they aren't.

I want to cancel my order but the charletans have taken off their contact details!!!

www.savers.co.uk/contact

Anyone know their phone number or email??

Fev11 · 11/03/2020 09:46

Here's the Lloyds link- check the ingredients tab

www.lloydspharmacy.com/en/medex-hand-sanitiser-500ml

Hazelnutlatteplease · 11/03/2020 09:49

Thank you. I just ordered from savers

MyDcAreMarvel · 11/03/2020 09:50

@ Hazelnutlatteplease cancel it , it’s only 45% alcohol.

MyDcAreMarvel · 11/03/2020 09:53

Really irresponsible

Has anyone actually found hand sanitiser inStock online to be delivered??
Fev11 · 11/03/2020 09:53

I can't see how to cancel my order though! They only list their postal address as contact details.

Not impressed by them at all- profiteering.

NormaLouiseBates · 11/03/2020 09:53

@Fev11 try [email protected]

So annoying... I did the same, ordered 2 before realising it was useless. I've emailed that address to ask to cancel; no response yet.

NormaLouiseBates · 11/03/2020 09:54

If you look at the bottom of your confirmation emails there's a few options to "contact us".

MyDcAreMarvel · 11/03/2020 09:58

Someone needs to contact trading standards. By limiting it to two per customer they are giving the impression that it’s in demand and therefore affective against Covid 19.

MyDcAreMarvel · 11/03/2020 09:59

And get on Twitter.

Fev11 · 11/03/2020 10:02

Thanks Normal.

It anyone has twitter can they tweet them and tell them to clearly add it to their product description. They are being so misleading. At least Lloyd's has the indformation on there.

By the way Savers is owned by the same company as Superdrug and The perfume Shop so I'd be wary of trusting the marketing of any of them.

Orangeblossom78 · 11/03/2020 10:07

Our local independant shops seem to have it in and Lloyds pharmacy, the smaller ones though not the one mentioned above. It was £1.49 each

Fraggle45 · 11/03/2020 10:13

I'm so sorry I didn't realise

I've asked hq to delete the link

ilovecherries · 11/03/2020 10:13

Can anyone help me with the maths for this. I have 5 bottles of 70% isopropyl alcohol in the garage - bought what I thought was one bottle on amazon a year ago, and a case of 6 arrived. I also have two 100 ml bottles of hand gel at 45%. How much of the alcohol would I need to add to 100ml of hand gel to make it up to the right concentration? I can’t work it out at all. Is it even possible?

MyDcAreMarvel · 11/03/2020 10:16

Not your fault @Fraggle45

StatisticallyChallenged · 11/03/2020 10:19

Ilovecherries

a minimum of 150ml per 100 ml bottle of gel. That would get you to 60% average (1500.7)+(1000.45)=150mls of alcohol in 250ml of solution which is exactly 60%
