The 32,000 people reportedly removed have not been permitted to return to their homes, many of which Israel forces have deliberately demolished.”

”Israeli authorities in early 2025 forcibly removed 32,000 Palestinians from their homes in West Bank refugee camps without regard to international legal protections and have not permitted them to return,” said Nadia Hardman, senior refugee and migrant rights researcher at Human Rights Watch. “With global attention focused on Gaza, Israeli forces have carried out war crimes, crimes against humanity, and ethnic cleansing in the West Bank that should be investigated and prosecuted.”

Why are there refugee camps in the West Bank?

The Palestinians have self governed for over 30 years there.

They came from the rest of their country that they were displaced from. Why cant they go back there?

Which country was that?

Israelis know what they are doing. They have shown the world who they are.

Where they were living before they had to flee or were removed. Their country.

Still doesn’t answer my first question of why are there still refugee camps in the West Bank SEVENTY SEVEN YEARS after these people fled their country which you don’t seem able to name?

I thought most had Jordanian citizenship so why are they in refugee camps in the West Bank? There is no war in Jordan.

It is all Palestinian land illegally occupied by Israel so yes, confusing, as Israel systematically purges, displaces then prevents Palestinians from both living in their displaced homes and returning to their original homes in a horrible cycle of ethnic cleansing. All illegal and acknowledged as such by international law yet continued with impunity.

We know the crimes are recognised and evidenced but when will there be action to sanction?

It’s a really simple question.

OK, here’s a easier question - where were the 98% of the Palestinian population in the West Bank, aged 65 and under (because there’s no data for 77+ year olds) displaced from?

Handy tip - they weren’t displaced from Israel because none of them ever had citizenship of Israel.
