Israel Emptying Refugee Camps a Crime Against Humanity

“The Israeli government’s forced displacement of the populations of three West Bank refugee camps in January and February 2025 amount to war crimes and crimes against humanity, Human Rights Watch said in a report released today. The 32,000 people reportedly removed have not been permitted to return to their homes, many of which Israel forces have deliberately demolished.”

”Israeli authorities in early 2025 forcibly removed 32,000 Palestinians from their homes in West Bank refugee camps without regard to international legal protections and have not permitted them to return,” said Nadia Hardman, senior refugee and migrant rights researcher at Human Rights Watch. “With global attention focused on Gaza, Israeli forces have carried out war crimes, crimes against humanity, and ethnic cleansing in the West Bank that should be investigated and prosecuted.”

Just Isreali? Hamas and Palestine are shining stars who are rightful freedom fighters who are blameless?

Everexpanding · 22/11/2025 19:22

By all means please start your own thread about Hamas if you wish, this is about war crimes carried out in the West Bank by Israel

Why are there refugee camps in the West Bank?

The Palestinians have self governed for over 30 years there.

They came from the rest of their country that they were displaced from. Why cant they go back there?

Which country was that?

TomeTome · 22/11/2025 21:51

Israelis know what they are doing. They have shown the world who they are.

Where they were living before they had to flee or were removed. Their country.

Where they were living before they had to flee or were removed. Their country.

Which country was that though?

What was it called? Quite a simple question.

Why did they flee?

How come there are Palestinians/Arabs living in Israel?

Still doesn’t answer my first question of why are there still refugee camps in the West Bank SEVENTY SEVEN YEARS after these people fled their country which you don’t seem able to name?

I thought most had Jordanian citizenship so why are they in refugee camps in the West Bank? There is no war in Jordan.

Ellen2shoes · 22/11/2025 23:06

It is all Palestinian land illegally occupied by Israel so yes, confusing, as Israel systematically purges, displaces then prevents Palestinians from both living in their displaced homes and returning to their original homes in a horrible cycle of ethnic cleansing. All illegal and acknowledged as such by international law yet continued with impunity.

Strange that you respond to my posts but duck answering the questions I responded to you with.

You said ‘They came from the rest of their country that they were displaced from. Why cant they go back there?’

I asked which country was that?

It’s a really simple question.

OK, here’s a easier question - where were the 98% of the Palestinian population in the West Bank, aged 65 and under (because there’s no data for 77+ year olds) displaced from?

Handy tip - they weren’t displaced from Israel because none of them ever had citizenship of Israel.

Ellen2shoes · 23/11/2025 00:42

Oh, they’ve been off for a while.

Nothing to rebut in my post though?

I agree with you OP, despite the Israel supporters on standby for every thread.

thingsarelookingupfornigel · 23/11/2025 07:54

Are you trying to deny that Palestine ever existed?

@TooTightDiamondShoesDoingMyHeadIn i find your line of questioning disturbing, how is the origin/ ethnicity of these refugees pertinent to how they have been treated?

I find it more disturbing that my questions are deliberately being ignored.

I can only assume answering them would not give the perception your OP is trying to convey.

The fact no one will answer which country these ‘refugees’ have been displaced from says it all.

Everexpanding · 23/11/2025 12:22

the report is covering the details of their recent treatment by Israel which the report describes as war crimes. What is the point of your question?

OP posts:
Everexpanding · 23/11/2025 12:25

“On January 21, Israeli forces stormed Jenin refugeecamp, deploying Apache helicopters, drones, bulldozers, and armored vehicles to support hundreds of ground troops who forced people from their homes. Residents told Human Rights Watch they saw bulldozers demolishing buildings as they were being expelled. Similar operations took place in Tulkarem refugee camp on January 27 and in nearby Nur Shams camp on February 9.
The Israeli military provided no shelter or humanitarian assistance to displaced residents. Many sought shelter in the crowded homes of relatives or friends, or turned to mosques, schools, and charities.
A 54-year-old woman said that Israeli soldiers “were yelling and throwing things everywhere…. It was like a movie scene – some had masks and they were carrying all kinds of weapons. One of the soldiers said, ‘You don’t have a house here anymore. You need to leave.’”

What do their origins have to with this treatment??
