Israel hasn't released any of the child hostages it has kidnapped. Israel still holds 323 Palestinian children- Defense for Children International – Palestine (DCIP). As of March 31, 2025, the Israel Prison Service reported that 323 Palestinian children were detained in Israeli prisons. Of these, 119 children (37%) were held in administrative detention without charge or trial- the highest number and proportion on record since DCIP began monitoring these figures in 2008.

I also wanted to highlight some concerning facts about Palestinian children in Israeli detention, based on verified reports from human rights organisations.

• As of June 2025, around 360 Palestinian children are being held in Israeli prisons. About 41% are in administrative detention, meaning they’re held without charge or trial — the highest proportion recorded since 2008 (DCI-Palestine).
• Many face serious abuse: 86% report being beaten, 69% subjected to strip searches, and 42% sustained injuries during arrest (Save the Children).
• Allegations include verbal abuse, threats, and physical and psychological violence (DCI-Palestine).
• The UN has raised serious concerns about ill-treatment and torture in detention facilities, including Sde Teiman (OHCHR).

These children are entitled to protection under international law, yet reports show repeated violations of their rights.

This is horrendous, and so obviously ignored by the pro Israel supporters on here.

My sons were between 5ft 8 and 6ft 2 at 14. So let’s get the idea of little children out of the picture.

They were not kidnapped, they were detained.

Are you seriously conflating 14-19 year old Palestinians detained as suspected of involvement with terrorism to an Israeli 9 month old baby and a 3 year old kidnapped with their mother from their home, strangled to death and their bodies mutilated, by Palestinians?

Why wouldn’t they be subjected to strip searches?

Strip searches also happen in the UK and we don’t have a problem with thousands of kids indoctrinated into terrorism or used as child soldiers.

The higher amount of detainees after Oct 7th is surely self explanatory after a massive terrorist attack where teenagers participated (go look at the Oct 7th footage to fact check) and Hamas managed to recruit 30,000 child soldiers, some of which will have been captured.

Why not consider putting the blame on the culture of Palestinians indoctrinating and training kids to kill Jews which has put their children in this horrific position?

Has there ever been any verified evidence of these abuse allegations?

She also doesn’t refer to the age of these children and if she wasn’t being disingenuous and trying to whip up outrage, she might have noted it as ‘child’ refers from birth to 18 in the UK (19 to Palestinians) and there is a big difference to a 9 month old baby or 3 year old being kidnapped and held hostage (then murdered) to a 14 year old being detained for suspected terrorist activity.

Apparently Israel is the only country in the world that tries children in a military court. They can be given up to 20 years for just throwing stones. I imagine many have been orphaned, or lost at least one parent, and are justifiably very angry.
For grown men with guns, to lock up children with stones, is insane. I'm sure many of these kids have been held without charge too.

You have not mentioned the many MANY toddlers and babies murdered by the IDF. Shot in their heads and limbs. One account given by an IDF whistle blower detailed how his commander broke a 4 year olds arms and legs and then stomped on him repeatedly. This is horrific. Well it’s pretty obvious isn’t it - there is a difference between throwing a stone and throwing a 2kg rock at a persons head killing them. One is actual murder. As I mentioned 41% of the Palestinian children have been held without charge, ie they have committed no crimes. But this case that you are highlighting a case where 5 Israeli settlers murdered a Palestinian women, 4 were released within days and the other was placed under house arrest and eventually released as well. Interesting that Israeli teens go free after murdering someone but countless Palestinians are imprisoned without any charges filed.

Well Hamas was given a choice about who to release. They got many many convicted terrorist murderers for bodies of innocent dead Jews and Hindus.
