I do find the killing is ramped up when a ceasefire is threatened.

It's just crazy how double standards are applied. Hamas kill 1200 Israelis and that's starting a war, Israel kill 1250 Palestinians and that's a ceasefire 🤨

Yes, not a single day of the ceasefire has passed without Palestinian deaths and Israeli atrocities. In the West Bank alone, the Palestine Settlement Resistance Commission has documented 11074 attacks on the land and property of residents by Israeli settlers and the IDF.

In Gaza on 16th July of this year, a funeral procession was bombed, killing eight people and injuring 20, of whom seven were children.

Also in Gaza during the ceasefire, Medecins Sans Frontieres recorded that a 14-year-old boy with Down's syndrome was shot five times by Israeli snipers while he was playing outside his tented home.

The BBC's Middle East Correspondent, Haval Gilad, was recently allowed into the West Bank and interviewed an Israeli settler, Yehuda Shimon, a lawyer. He said:
"One Jewish life is worth 10 million Palestinian lives because God chose us. Because of this, you are jealous."

He then proceeded to criticise the Israeli military for not using lethal force against Palestinian residents often enough.

.Israeli prison authorities released 15-year-old Mohammad Hamed in an unconscious state after he was denied medical care during the months of his detention, according to a statement shared by the Palestinian Prisoners Society on 2 August.

The statement noted that Hamed's medical condition worsened each day at Ofer Prison. Hamed contracted scabies, but Israeli prison authorities deliberately denied him the necessary treatment, causing severe complications and a rapid deterioration in his health.

He was transferred to hospital, then returned to prison, before being admitted to hospital again on 25 July, where medical examinations revealed that the infection had spread to his heart and brain. On 27 July, he underwent open-heart surgery, and doctors later indicated that his right leg may require amputation due to damage caused by the infection.

His family was not permitted to visit him, and Israeli authorities decided to release him only when his condition became critical. Hamed remains unconscious and on life support in the intensive care unit.

Since the Gaza war broke out in October 2023, Israel has detained tens of thousands of Palestinians from the West Bank and Gaza. Around 9,400, including 1,900 children remain imprisoned. Following their release, many Palestinians have reported physical and psychological torture as well as sexual abuse by Israeli forces.

It's been a really traumatic few days for Palestinians in Gaza. The images of the unborn baby and the onesie (I won't say any more because it could be a massive trigger) are something that will stay with me.

The Palestine Feminist Collective, supported by the Progressive International, has published A Predatory State, a 200-page report on the abuse of Palestinians.

A Predatory State documents torture and gendered violence in detention centres, at checkpoints and in the homes of kidnapped Palestinians.

A section on Targeting Reproductive Health documents Israel's destruction of maternity wards, fertility clinics and reproductive health support, while arguing that this violence is not incidental but deliberate and systemic, practised as a matter of policy for many years.

The members of the collective have gathered hundreds of testimonies from Palestinian men and women that make harrowing but vitally important reading.

Tragic but such a relief for the families to finally recover their bodies and bury their loved ones 🙏

I agree that there is some relief for the families of the 112 @Boolabus but there are potentially hundreds of thousands more Who have not been recovered and Israel is removing the evidence. A report has been released by Euro med:

Instead, Israel is acting unilaterally within closed areas under its military control by demolishing remaining buildings and then crushing, mixing, and transporting the rubble before forensic teams, evidence experts, and unexploded ordnance specialists can examine, document, and preserve the sites, along with the evidence and human remains.

Today, UNICEF has released the information that the Israeli Defence Forces have killed more than 300 Palestinian children, that is, one Palestinian child a day, since a ceasefire was agreed with Hamas in October 2025. To my knowledge, Hamas has not killed one Israeli child in those nine months.

It is standard practice for the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) to desecrate hospitals they have bombed and to systematically destroy all life-saving equipment.

The internationally renowned Greek ENT surgeon, Professor Christos Georgalas, volunteered at the Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis in 2025.

He recalled that after the hospital was bombed and the patients had to be evacuated, Israeli soldiers with crowbars destroyed every piece of medical equipment they could find; dialysis machines, incubators for newborns, ventilators, imaging equipment, sterilisation units ....... However, a massive MRI machine resisted all their attempts to put it out of action. Rather than leave the life-saving machine functioning, the soldiers managed to find a specialist engineer in their ranks who made sure it could never be used again.
