The Israeli army are using aid centres as target practice.

The Israeli government is proposing building a 'refugee' centre in Rafah with an extra special feature - no one is allowed to leave.

Killing of young siblings at Gaza water point shows seeking life’s essentials now a deadly peril

Karam al-Ghussain, 9, and Lulu, 10, were fetching water from a nearby distribution station when an Israeli strike hit it, and them

Hind’s death is heartbreaking and an outrage, and one of the two thousand others killed we don’t even know about. May Hind and all these children, and also those also murdered on Oct 7, and in Syria and Yemen, and in Ukraine not be forgotten.

correction: not two thousand other children but twenty thousand other Palestinian children.

Makes an absolute mockery of the word ceasefire. All I read on here is about Hamas disarming but this is bullshit. Saw a video on social media of an Israeli airstrike just landing on a densely populated tent village.

It's easy know Israel have no fear of repercussions when their apologists will excuse anything they do.

We killed more children because Palestinian fighters exited a tunnel yesterday in a completely different area. I can't imagine how twisted you would have to be to think killing children is an appropriate 'retaliation' for people coming out of a tunnel the day before. If you are watching closely enough to see 8 people walk out if a tunnel you are watching closely enough to know that your bombs are going to kill many innocent women and children. It's really frightening to think that anyone can think that this is acceptable behaviour.

You would think all that you say is obvious but seems not to be.

509 killed in a ceasefire.

Oh and the Rafah crossing open tomorrow for a limited amount of people not aid or humanitarian goods despite all of the hostages being returned.

Israel really do hold all the cards.

marmaladeandpeanutbutter · 31/01/2026 22:18

Ceasefire, my arse.

This is the ace. How on earth has this been allowed to drag on?

Both Reporters Without Borders and the Committee to Protect Journalists, another NGO, have filed briefs with the Israeli court to grant media access immediately. They have argued that keeping journalists out of Gaza sets a "dangerous precedent".

Surely the Israeli argument that it's not safe for journalists holds no water now because of the ceasefire and the cessation of bombing... .

So it's safe for them to go in

Ellen2shoes · 31/01/2026 22:34

Quite a stretch for the solicitous duty of care extended to journalists so far.

Boolabus · 31/01/2026 22:35

They have argued that keeping journalists out of Gaza sets a "dangerous precedent".

It absolutely does, along with democratic nations getting away with war crimes. As with everything happening across the globe at the moment innocent civilians are becoming less and less safe.

smallglassbottle · 23/07/2025 14:23

I don't believe they'll ever be allowed in. It belongs to israel now and will be flattened (they've already got the bulldozers in) and redeveloped in no time. The next time anyone does see it, it'll be beach resorts, high class housing, swimming pools and palm trees.

Horribly believable?

Israel have killed 1 out of every 4000 people in Gaza in a 'ceasefire'. The equivalent of 2500 Israelis or 23000 Iranians. There is no way if it were 2500 Israelis it 23000 Iranians the people who are calling this a ceasefire would be doing the same. The people wondering why 'pro Pals' are so quiet about Iran are quietly condoning the equivalent of 23000 Iranian deaths in a 'ceasefire', 4600 of them children. And then they ask why the news is still reporting on Gaza, why people are still talking about Gaza...

The relentless dehumanising and justifying is exhausting and it runs deep. There's little point contributing to these threads any more.

One missing Israeli body was allowed to hold the next steps of the ceasefire up for months. Never mind the thousands of Palestinian bodies which are still, and perhaps will be forever, irrecoverable.

Back to the crux of the issue. Palestinian lives are not worth the same.

500 lives are seen as worthless.

Completely emboldened by the lack of international criticism Israel are now fully annexing the West Bank. How long until all of Palestine is subsumed into Israel?

And yet we are still being told this is for Israels "security"...

BelleHathor · 10/02/2026 22:26

It's never been about Israel's security. Even articles from the 1800s talked about "colonising Palestine".

All the so called "civilised" countries have always known this and have just looked away as Palestine was taken slice by slice.

Some men at the turn of the 19th century discussed the possibility of raising funds to buy some land. What has that got to do with the security of modern day Israel? They were also talking about a Jewish man who had been falsely convicted of murder in France, so yeah even back then it was about safety.

Prison service prepares for possible implementation of death penalty for terrorists

Israel’s prison authorities have begun logistical and operational preparations for carrying out executions following the first Knesset reading of a bill allowing the death penalty in terrorism cases.

Although the bill remains far from final approval, it has already sparked intense legal and moral debate within Israel.

Supporters argue that capital punishment is a necessary response to acts of terrorism of extreme severity, while opponents warn it raises profound concerns about democratic values and the irreversible nature of the sentence. Despite the uncertainty surrounding the legislation, prison authorities are continuing their preparations to ensure readiness should the law ultimately be enacted.

It ought to be shocking but it is just what everyone knew all along.

I wonder what they say about why they need to do this to protect themselves?

What is the excuse they are giving?

This is what ‘laying waste’ looks like.

Boolabus · 13/02/2026 22:39

From C4 news.

A mass burial has taken place for unidentified Palestinians whose bodies were returned to Gaza and human remains released by Israel via the Red Cross earlier this month

Sorry it was a video and I didn't know how to link. Unidentified bodies and human remains... Palestinian lives really don't matter.
