This is a brilliant article.

This will be taught in schools one day and our grandkids will ask us but what did you do when you knew this was happening?

What did you do during the genocide in Gaza? | Arwa Mahdawi

When future generations read about Gaza with horror and wonder how we allowed a livestreamed genocide to happen, what will you say?

Because denial of Humanitarian assistance is a war crime.

Even Greta acknowledged that the amount of aid they were carrying was symbolic.

SharonEllis · 12/06/2025 22:34

Martymcfly24 · 12/06/2025 22:27

Well why didn't they let them in then?

What do you think would happen if they let them in, seriously? And then the next boatload of virtue signalling brats? And then the next one? Its an active war zone - you dont let tourists into a war. Utterly ridiculous.

So leave it in then.

(And the thousands of trucks at the border Too but that's a whole other issue)

How condescending calling them 'brats'. Gosh, why do so many pro-Israelis immediately descend into insults and sneery remarks.

I was being quite kind. I suggest you look into the terrorist apologism of some of the people on that boat.

GHF are trying to actually deliver aid, but Hamas aren't happy about it and may have killed half a dozen Palestinian aid workers, and taken other hostage, but I'm sure the 3 shopping bags and a box of tampons would have made ALL the difference.

And the IDF are killing Palestinians daily whilst they try to collect aid.

@Eatcakeplease I genuinely didn't know how to respond to that post.

Rewriting events completely.

Eatcakeplease · 12/06/2025 22:46

No wonder so many people avoid this board, when all we see are posters who oppose the genocide being attacked.

You would debate anything once it's measured and based on fact but that is a waste of time .

The IDF have shot, maimed and killed so many desperate Palestinians whilst they seek a meagre amount of aid. How can posters turn a blind eye to this?

Fourteenandahalf · 12/06/2025 22:58

The posts shared by the journalist motaz azaiza today show the way people are treated while trying to access aid. How anyone can defend it is beyond me.

Especially the last one on his stories on Instagram today comparing the differences of the experiences "war" in the two countries.

And the actual aid workers are being shot, maimed and killed by Hamas.

I went on 5 holidays abroad, got a new shiny car, did a bit of decorating and attended 3 concerts.

virtue signalling isn’t my thing 💅🏼

Namechangedformyanswer · 24/06/2025 14:29

During the conflict between Israel and Gaza I noticed that some wars gain more attention than others. That lots of innocents on both sides die. That there is so much suffering in the world. That madmen run many countries. That posting on here doesn't make any difference to what goes on in the conflict, although some feel virtuous by posting, they are no better than people who don't post here. It feels like they want a medal for virtue signalling on a privileged mums site.

Meanwhile in the real world the conflict goes on.

Reading these threads you need to have a A star in virtue signalling to fit in.

What car did you get? Did you feel really bad when you bought it because you weren't posting about the middle east and you were happily getting on with life in a democracy?

Ah thanks for taking the time to come on here to let people know you're not a virtue signaller you must be so proud.
5 holidays abroad wow, you also don't care much about your carbon footprint well done you

Just looking at Lucrezia trying to hold back tears on the news looking at the images of children dying in Gaza

@hayfeverforever your posts are very distasteful to be honest 🥺
Just imagine for a moment that you swapped lives with a starving civilian in a war-ravaged part of the world. Imagine then how you'd feel if you thought well-fed westerners made light of it by advertising their luxury consumerism. If you don't feel broken by the situation in Gaza (which I don't understand at all) that's up to you. But, at least have the common decency to exercise some discretion please.

To be fair thats the majority of peoples reactions to the horrendous loss of life especially to the suffering of small children.
25 more killed today while trying to get aid to feed their starving families. The IDF are clearly using the desperate people as target practice.
Evil.

WoodlandLove · 24/06/2025 19:09

To answer your question OP. Not enough. Not nearly enough, to my very great shame 😔
I just don't know what to do at all. I feel utterly helpless.
