The UK, France and Canada threaten Israel

My personal opinion is once again it is too little, too late. However I'm interested to hear opinions on what exactly this threatening action would consist of?

What has caused these governments to issue such a statement now and not before? The blockade of aid has been ongoing for more than two months. Why didn't they say take further action earlier?

Lastly, will this statement have any effect on the Netanyahu extremist government? Or will they brush it off as they usually do? I'm not sure as these are three powerful allies who have so far been quite wishy washy with their condemnation.

Assume you agree with the ‘IDF fighters are hero’s and the IDF is ethical’ bit if you’re posting bits of the article for impact.

Golan obviously does not believe that the IDF is committing genocide or targeting innocents, including children.

Rather goes against the consensus on here which is that the IDF are blood thirsty monsters.

What was done to them in Germany etc during the Second World War was utterly atrocious.

Europe needs to do the same.

They aren't just attacking Gaza. They've invaded the west bank on the opposite side, they e invaded Syria and Lebanon.

This is because they are aiming to create the Greater Isreal which crosses these areas and beyond. It's even a long time goal of America and Israel to achieve this. The amount of propaganda and media black outs on the subject is why most people have no clue.

What did the Jews do in 1930s Germany? Did they hurl rockets, rape, kidnap and murder thousands of people? No. Even if you think what's happening in Gaza is terrible, it's a rubbish comparison.

There are a lot of Muslims who live in Israel (because they were born there, what with their family line being there first)
Isreal is busy expelling them too. They are attacking non Jewish Isrealis and have always done so.

The jews in the 1930s did absolutely nothing to legitimise what happened to them, same as the thousands and thousands of Palestinians who have been murdered at the hands of Israel.

There are countless decent Israelis as even Gideon Levy acknowledges, though he believes this generation of politicians is largely lost. So when a highly respected former IDF general states that children are being killed ‘as a hobby,’ it carries real weight. Looking into his history, he appears to be one of the good guys the kind of leader who might have guided Israel toward a nobler path than the one it’s now following. But these voices seem to have been drowned out in the grim logic of Netanhayu's prosecution of this bloody war. I think Hamas actually wanted this outcome and were well prepared for it. You don't build hundreds of kms of tunnels and plan a war for years without stockpiling enormous amounts of weapons and food. They will be fine those who aren't yet killed and fight on whilst the 2 million or so citizens suffer from the pitiless siege of almost medieval cruelty.

But you could say this about any war in relation to innocent civilians. Yes civilians in war often suffer....the idea that there wasn't some sort of trigger to start this conflict is ridiculous. It's nothing like 1930s Germany....has Israel with absolutely no provocation at all rounded up Palestinians, stuck them on cattle trucks and murdered them on mass in purpose built buildings?

The words are too little too late for the thousands of innocent men, women and children murdered. But they’re just words. We need action to be taken quickly.

What i don't understand is why supporters of Israel aren't furious about how badly Israel is looking on the worlds stage? How Netanyahu s government has turned any respect Israel had upside down and has probably massively increased antisemitism around the world? If i was jewish thats where my anger would be. Terrorists need to be dealt with but not the scale of destruction happening now. This has turned Israel into a pariah state. That didn't need to happen.
