US confirms plan for private firms to deliver Gaza aid despite UN alarm

The US has confirmed that a new system for providing humanitarian aid to Palestinians in Gaza through private companies is being prepared, as Israel's blockade continues for a third month.

US ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee said "distribution centres" protected by security contractors would provide food and other supplies to over a million people initially, as part of an effort to prevent Hamas stealing aid.

He denied Israel would take part in aid delivery or distribution, but said its forces would secure the centres' perimeters.

It comes as details emerged about the controversial plan, which UN agencies have reiterated they will not co-operate with because it appears to "weaponize" aid.

And what about the quadcopters and tanks??

The accounts are that the gun fire was from the direction of the tanks.
Perhaps @AIBUHere believes that Hamas also stole the tanks and disguised themselves as IDF soldiers.

Odras · 07/06/2025 21:22

I honestly think we need to stop engaging with some of the more outrageous posters.

Stop giving them the air they need to keep going.

Is there actually any evidence the IDF have used f*cking TANKS to attack civilians? And dropping grenades from quad copters?

We really need to ignore them. They want to close down any discussion of Israel and getting the thread pulled is the ultimate motive. So don't bite, people!!

Agree.

It's so frustrating to see the blatant lies and propaganda being spouted but it's better off not engaging.

Yes I agree @ssd There are genuine posters of course who don’t want to believe that Israel could commit such atrocities. But there is another voice too.

ssd · 08/06/2025 10:29

Healthy debate is one thing, we don't all think the same and we all have strong emotions when it comes to seeing people just the same as us terrorised and murdered, both in Israel and Gaza.
But when healthy debate turns to deliberate and stealthy goading, you know something else is going on.

AIBUHere · 08/06/2025 11:15

Again any actual evidence other than hearsay?

Gaza is a tiny strip of land and everyone has smart phones. Hard to believe NO ONE has managed to video these incidents.

Considering the documented use of AI pictures, that very emotive pixelated picture is not evidence.

Are you saying you want to watch videos of actual people in their last moments being ran over and killed by tanks? That isn't something I would feel comfortable searching for or sharing tbh.

No but the media get video footage of things like this all the time don’t they, which they then report on with blurred images of injuries etc?

Are you insinuating I’m some sick individual who wants to see death because I don’t believe you can rely on hearsay generated from a proscribed terrorist organisation?

Tell that to the ghouls who insisted they needed pictures/videos to believe those misunderstood friendly ‘freedom fighters’ committed gang rape and horrific sexual torture on Oct 7th.

You just said that Considering the documented use of AI pictures, that very emotive pixelated picture is not evidence. of a picture posted by a human rights organisation.

If you think that this could be AI why would you accept something pixelated from a news organisation?

The human rights organisation didn't mention that they used 'heresay from a proscribed terrorist organisation'. They say for example A female civilian said that she was shocked by the tank suddenly running over her tent. Have you got any evidence that shows that this non profit independent human rights organisation is using Hamas heresay in their reporting rather than speaking to the civillian Palestinian victims of these attacks?

Listen I admire your will and you are totally correct but it is pointless..

No matter what evidence you produce it will not be acceptable.

Ngos-Hamas
Independent Journalists-Hamas
BBC, Sky News etc- taking Hamas propaganda.
Actual photographic video and evidence -hearsay/Hamas propaganda.
Un - Hamas.

We have moved from justifying the atrocities to now denying they happened.

Nothing you say or post will be accepted.

HellsBalls · 08/06/2025 12:53

That’s a load of rubbish. The implication was tanks and drones attacking crowds of civilians trying to get aid.
Those posts have nothing to support the accusations.

You’d think there would have been video evidence of the IDF committing all these ‘war crimes’ by now. Almost 2 years in.

Everyone seems to have smart phones and internet in Gaza and there are non stop videos coming out of there everyday.

The IDF are on the ground and having constant interactions with the people.

I remember a video of apparent paramedics being ‘shot at’ by evil IDF troops, while trying to reach an injured elderly lady, who had also been shot by the evil IDF. I kept waiting for the cameraman to simply turn his phone slightly to the left which would then have shown the direction of the shooting and who was shooting. He never did.

Go figure!

Collective punishment is a war crime. Starving a civillian population of aid is collective punishment. Do you need a video of that or is it enough that Israel have been open about the fact that for months they didn't allow any aid into Gaza. Don't fall over yourself as you rush to condemn this war crime.

More Palestinians murdered whilst trying to retrieve aid from the inhumane Israeli- US aid model

It's hard to make sense of what happens in these situations.

From the link you posted it looks like The Israeli army has declared that Palestinians should only move to and from the GHF distribution sites between 06:00 and 18:00 local time - and that at all other times it should be considered an "active combat zone".

Yet "before dawn" a group was moving towards IDF soldiers (despite them issuing verbal challenges and then warning shots) and so the group "was deemed a threat".

Still no evidence of that either.

Enough aid was brought in to last for months before that the blockade.

Do you commonly condemn something before it’s even happened?

Meanwhile there is real starvation in Sudan due to war. I absolutely condemn that yes.

To be fair I imagine they were desperate and starving and wanted to be there first so they had a chance of getting food so left early.

It's an awful choice to have to make.
