Double standards (Ukraine flag, Israel flag and Palestine flag)

Has anyone noticed the double standards regarding these flags. The first two are seen as solidarity and approved. But anyone with a Palestine flag is seen as a Hamas supporter and making life uncomfortable for Jews. People have been removing Palestinian flags because it makes them feel uncomfortable but if you did the same with Israel flags you would be called anti semitic.

I have seen people say anyone who have Palestinian flags should be deported because they are terrorists which is very racist.

The media seem to always show Palestinian supporters as thugs and evil people.

I have seen some things happen in the world which the media in UK rarely showed or gave a lot of airtime. Some people who claim to be Pro Palestinian and do racist things at protests are given so much air time e.g. you will hear about it forever "these are hate marches Pro Palestinians are all racists" etc..

But they rarely talk about Palestinians getting targeted:

It just seems like anyone who opposes the Israeli government is a racist and anyone who wants an end to the occupation in Palestine and better solution is also racist.

This is a very odd thread. Full of double standards by the OP. Israel have been attacked for many years - most people turn a blind eye until they retaliate. Either way, there are people living in Israel and there are people living in Gaza and the West Bank. Both people are pretty set to stay. All this “free Palestine” doesn’t make sense, the supporters don’t seem to want to actually “free” them from the current terroist group, nor, many previous terroist groups. They seem to want to just obliterate Israel and any Jewish person along with it. There is far too much history and context to go into now, but no, this didn’t start on 7th October, Israel has been attacked for many years before. It’s a shame Jewish people can’t feel safe in big cities like London any more. Because let’s face it, this is what this is really about isn’t it? You’re not bothered about a conflict in the ME, you just want to stir up hatred and threatening behaviour for Jewish people living over here.

The IDF have wiped out 1% of the population of Gaza, a large proportion of whom are children. That's the same proportion of UK citizens who died in WW2. The attack on Israel was utterly horrifying, but the response is also a war crime.

Personally, I don't think we should fly any of these flags. OK to fly Scottish,English, Welsh, Northern Ireland and UK.
Other flags are for state visits or sporting occasions.
I don't think it shows solidarity it causes more division and upset.

This is why im very anti flag waving in general (amongst other reasons). A display of all the world's flags is nice/fine at the olympics but too many people use flags to be twattish.

Never see an Israeli flag- people are too scared of the aggression they would face!

I live in London and I've not seen a single Israeli flag in any windows or on any lampposts.

The Ukraine is the only one I have seen officially. When people started putting them outside their houses where I live I was surprised but thought it was depth of feeling. Very rare for the UK to see your average Brit with no connection personally doing this.

Never seen Israeli flags in a similar fashion in the UK.

Come out and say it you are the King/Queen of whataboutism. There was never a ceasefire the IDF and settlers daily attack and kill innocent Palestinians? Do you care about them? You love to talk about October 7 as if that was the only terrible day that occurred. For Palestinians being attacked and killed is a daily occurrence by your logic you are anti Muslim and anti Arab cause you do not talk about it.

I guess anyone who criticises Saudi Arabia and Iran are also anti Muslim by your logic.

Both should be done - free the hostages and stop the occupation in Palestine.

As for flags, we don't see many of either Israeli or Palestinian other than when some crusties turn up to support "the next thing" and get in the way of people trying to go about their business in town

Yes, I have seen a lot of rather ugly situations caused by the Palestinian flag triggering some. Also wearing a keffiyeh has also resulted in some being triggered.
