42 and desperate!

I am 42 and desperate to get pregnant. Have been trying for years......have had several not too helpful hospital appointments, but know there is nothing wrong with myself or my husband. Hospital not keen to help on NH because of my age. Any suggestions gratefully recieved.

We had our first appointment yesterday to get going with IUI. Information overload. I am a bit nervous about injecting myself, but if thats the worst I have to deal with.....alls good. Am now trying to work out the cost of the medication. Am keeping on top of acupuncture too.

41 here n feeling the same

fell pregnant last year at 40 n sadly lost lil one then fell again this year in march and lost again a few weeks ago :(

ive been sent for day 2 ans 21 tests and hubby had to errm..well u know...hes all clear and my day 2 was great doc said..they took 9 tubes of blood on monday arghhhhhhhhh..why i had no clue but then found out it was for blood clotting profile and thats all good..have to callback tomorrow for rest of tests..

im not sure where we go from here tho...been doin ov tests came up bang on date this month so was jumping on hubby left right and centre..but didnt manage every day ( he was drained he said lol) so who knows with that

its all very stressful and ttc trying to keep it fun and no stressful is nightmare...seems last time i feel tho was when we said soddit..

what tests should i ask for next or expect?

i so feel for you hun its like times goin double fast and running out but its not out the question my two closest friends had babies at 30 and 40 so never say never

I am sorry to hear your story. I know exactly what you mean about stress. I promise you, if we could all be on holiday ALL the time - no work, no worries - we would be up the duff as soon as you like!!

I have to say that after my hospital appt yesterday I felt really positive. It feels that we are at last doing something and are at last in the system. Its taken us so long to get here. 9 tubes of blood sounds grim...but if it gets you there in the end.....
