Hi all,

Brand new thread!

I started it so I must get a BFP before the end - them's the rules.

OP posts:
batteryhen · 17/06/2010 10:57

Morning all - I am also holding off testing till Saturday - its hard going though! I don't think I am pg, however if AF arrives then that will be ok too - it will be nice to know I am back on track following my WTF cycle.

I have had a harsh start to the day - took my car in for a service and it nees 4 new tyres - at £80 each. Thats beside the service it needs too. I wont be able to afford any pg tests at this rate!

Pleased for northern - seems your back on track too and can start trying in earnest. Will pop back later - hope everyone has a good day. x

Moofold · 17/06/2010 13:41

Oh BU that's a shame, I know the type of day youu have described exactly. As Pretty says its totally normal (in our world at least) to be having those thoughts. Yet ANOTHER colleague announced she was pregnant yesterday so I congratulated her through gritted teeth without even really meaning it. How mean! Hope you're having a better time now

Well I made a total chump of myself at the docs this morning. Went on a totally unrelated matter and when I went in the roon the doc was confused as to why I wasn't just about to pop. She read my notes, was was telling me how rubbish it was and asking if I was ok - cue the onset uncontrollable weeping. We then had a chat (through my snivelling and using all her hankies up) about TTC and my recent development of short luteal phases, what I have been doing etc. She has advised that next month I give it a miss, told me to stop POAS, temping and all the rest and just get past the due date then start again. She also said that the emotional basketcaseness and associated feelings are perfectly normal and said that being honest, most folk don't really get over it until they get pregnant again (which wasn't all that reassuring...). I'm thinking of taking her advice as I've heard lots of you saying a wee break helps.

battery I take responsibility for your car troubles. After mentioning a few weeks back about ours breaking down I seem to have jinxed the thread in that respect - sorry!!

Hopefully, Muser and Jolls hang on in there!! Have a good day at the races Littlemiss and waves to all the other lovely ladies

Magic8footballhastheanswers · 17/06/2010 13:57

Moo just seen your post - big hugs - will be back later to catch up properly (waves to all the ladies!) xxx

batteryhen · 17/06/2010 20:02

moo - rubbish day for you , but brighter ones to come If you are the reason my car has gone wrong - can I also blame you for the fact my card was rejected whilst trying to pay for it?? the embarassment... the shouting at the bank......

Its really quiet on here today - am I the only one without a life???

StickThemWithThePointyEnd · 17/06/2010 20:13

moo big hugs from me as well. Sorry about your rubbish day.

My car had to go in to the garrage this morning, too.. luckily it only took an hour's labour and 130 pounds to fix it- much better than the 900 it cost us when it broke down on holiday last year.

CD14, and I have lots and lots of EWCM and ov cramps.. and niggling doubts, because it will force me to put all my plans on hold. There is nothing I want more than to be pregnant again, but I wanted to start my 2nd Uni degree in Sept '11, and I don't think I'd be able to handle it with a young baby and a 2 year old... not sure what to do now I don't know why I suddenly have these doubts - maybe because the possibilities suddenly seem so real, or maybe because I'm finally starting to pick myself off the floor and look to the future again... [hmmm]
Midwifery has always been my dream, and I threw a whole degree, time and money away because I thought it would be a good idea to study something I was good at first. Now I can do it, and I'm desperate for another baby instead.
Oh well, we've been in SWI for the last week, so if there's an egg hatching soon, the little swimmers are already there anyway. But I have no idea where to go from here

Magic8footballhastheanswers · 17/06/2010 20:23

whoooooooo whooooo tumble weeds ahoy!

Where is everyone????

Battery what a 'mare hope you got it sorted.

Moo I can vouch for the due date thing (and also anniversaries), I fell straight after my due date (although I did mc ) Milestones have a funny habit of buggering things up xx The break will help hun, missing this month has really helped me 1) to relax for a few weeks and drink large amounts 2) pay attention to mon cycle.......especially in what would be the 2ww (I am convinced now I def had 2 months where something happened but it failed pre rtd due to various symptoms then and Nuffink WHATSOEVER to report this month). 3) Realise that everything is normal and stop getting out of my pram about stuff!

Jolls and Muser hows things ladies???????????????

Magic8footballhastheanswers · 17/06/2010 20:26

oooo and Hopefully Well done resisting!

PS I really hope you had a better day today Bunder xxx

BUnderTheBonnet · 17/06/2010 20:39

Thanks guys. I do feel much better today. So, rubbish mood for a couple of days. Erm...is that a syptom?

Hope moof is feeling better too.

And betteryhen. We have had a bad car month. My husband got bumped into whilst stationary in a traffic jam. Two days later, I got rammed bumped into whilst stationary at a roundabout. We just got DH's bumper replaced and resprayed, and someone bumped into him whilst stationary at lights. My car was a write off. And my neck still hurts over two weeks later. Moral of the tale - NEVER stop whilst on the road. Being stationary makes you vunerable.

OP posts:
BUnderTheBonnet · 17/06/2010 20:40

syptom? Is this the well known and documented sponge brain symptom?

OP posts:
Cheepz · 17/06/2010 21:20

right ladies, I have alot of catching up to do!!
prettyv exciting exciting and great to see you back on the list again and cd13 already, am hoping all good things come to you

barren welcome back hon, missed you xx

muser early testing is a crime against mental health so you belong in the insanity corner with the other nutters being beaten with jolls large haddock

jolls - rooting for you lady, i am a month behind you on everything, bfps, mcs, ttc, so if you bfp this month i will have to try next cycle!!

battery not u 2!! whats with the early testing ladies - road to pain!

saffron yay for mc bleed finished and roll on next rtd so you can be back in business

digi good for you running, although I complain about it all the time - literally all the time it is one of the few things which keeps me sane at the moment workingout on a regular basis (although am posting instead fo doing workout tonight so clearly motivation is flagging right now)

youremindme good call on chiling out until forst rtd post erpc - goes fast and really does a) give you a break and b) allow you to feel confident everything is back to normal

hopefully lmao at your eaarly early testing post 0 what a bunch of losers all you girls in the insanity corner should at least get a bucketload of internet cheapies - I have 50 upstairs waiting for when i start again it was about £12 for the lot so can poas as often as i feel like it - could go and do oen now and see if have had an imaculate conception

moof stay away from the insanity corner, and yep a break might be just the ticket to get you past a difficult date. milestones do put more pressure on - i had pregnant before christmas, pregnant before due date
pregnant before ds 3rd birthday and hit them all but mc them all so you don't help yourself by reminding your self how much time is passing

northern wahey - you are officially back in business

ivy my advice would be don't put you're life on hold - i spent 8 months in a job i was done with thinking i will change after i have another baby - 3 mc later i am moving house and changing job and sods law says i will get pg and it will be really inconvenient with new job i am loving and i will not be entitled to anything financially and everything else but you can't plan these things, so i say do all the things you would do anyway and if a baby comes you will find a way to deal with it

for me it looks like we won't exchange this week as there are still solicitor things going back and forth but we are getting closer, the plumber is coming tomorrow so hoping that we will have hot water from the taps again soon - after two weeks of one electric shower, a dishwasher and a washing machine being the only sources of hot water I can't wait for that, will also then stop stressing house it won't be fixed before we move, have been slacker than normal at work because i really don't care any more, had highlights done today so hair is looking swell, dh is out, ds is asleep and i am about to do 30 mins aerobics before watching some chump tv

Moofold · 17/06/2010 21:23

Thanks lassies, feeling marginally better after greeting for the best part of the day. At least I was working from home so no one could see me bubble at my laptop. I think I've been storing it up since my friend's baby was born at the weekend and the poor doc bore the brunt of it with her well intended condolences. Hope its out my system now.

8s I was all for having a break earlier and agree it probably will help - but the thought of actually doing it is inconceivable!! No pun intended. I bet I will get withdrawal syptoms (to quote BU). I'll need to get DH to hide my thermometer, CBFM and keep all my cash to prevent me secretly purchasing more!

And yes BU I agree that almighty wobbles must indeed by a sign of being upduffed - even though I'm only 4dpo!! Embarrassing confession, I actually caught myself turning round my bottle of mum-to-be vitamins so that I didn't need to look at the smug woman and her huge bump. For fuck sake, get a grip!

Ivy I didn't realise you weren't sure about TTC. Surely now that you have voiced these concerns you will instantly get pregnant! Its an oldie, but a goodie, there is never an ideal time to have a baby. There will always be something that could be better timed but you'll muddle through.

Battery I can't take the blame for the card I'm afraid- only vehicle type disasters. Glad you told that bank though!

Moofold · 17/06/2010 21:27

Crossed posts - hiya Cheepz!! Glad someone is having good hair - my flaming GHDs packed in yesterday and I'm lost without them. Enjoy your workout and brain numbing telly x

Moofold · 17/06/2010 21:28

Or brian numbing - who was it used to say that? Gi1da? Unbuffy?

Magic8footballhastheanswers · 17/06/2010 21:52

Hey Cheepzhappy robics with fab hair!

moo know what you mean I was stitched, bandaged, unable to lift my left arm, on antibiotics.........DH just gave me the 'not on your nelly' look, plus of course I looking waaay sexy seeing as I hadn't been able to wash my hair for 5 days

bessie26 · 17/06/2010 22:06

hi,

AF turned up today, so can someone move me to the bottom of the list when it gets updated please?

both DH & I went to see our GPs today to get some tests done as we've been TTC#2 for over a year now. He's getting SA & I'm getting a variety of blood tests. My GP said once she has the results from them, she will try to get me referred for further investigations, but did warn me that it was likely to be rejected as I have had 2 "spontaneous pregnancies" in the last year. She said if that happened she would argue & re-apply, but am not worrying about that until it happens.

moof we took last cycle off TTC (mainly so we could drink lots of wine while on holiday). The intention was that I would temp, but not chart until I got home, but when I got EWCM I just couldn't help it and then when I noticed my temps going up I just had to draw a little graph, just to see what was going on!

am now afraid to go anywhere near the car - it's desperately in need of a service & I'm now afraid I've been jinxed by being on this thread!

northerngoldilocks · 17/06/2010 22:33

Cheepz - yay for treating the notice period as you should!!

Feels weird to not be waiting for RTD. Only thing is not sure how my cycle will be next month - so reckon will just SWI as much as possible from about day 7 onwards -feel tired at the thought

Mummy4610 · 18/06/2010 00:02

Haven't been on for a while. Just seems like every time I come on here I'm really low and I feel a lot like some of you ladies who can't be near anyone who is about to have their baby. Work continues to be awful and I really, really want to leave but can't as DH was made redundant last year. I don't want to be depressed all the time, but mostly I am. I can't even phone a couple of friends - I haven't spoken to one for 6 months and the other for 2 months. They look to me to be the strong one in the friendship and I just don't have it in me.

Sorry, I don't think I did the list properly - it was still thursday when I started typing!

Muser · 18/06/2010 07:55

Mummy I think you should speak to your friends. You might think they expect you to be the strong one, but I bet they'd jump at the chance to help you. Alternatively why not try the Miscarriage Association counselling? But please talk to someone.

This is Friday's list. I have nothing to report, symptom or otherwise.

Had a small amount of watery light brown "leakage" yesterday. Not the sort of spotting that I usually get pre RTD, but as I believe implantation bleeding to be about as likely as the tooth fairy, I suspect my high hopes for this month may soon come crashing down. Hey ho. Hope everyone else ok.

Off to take DS swimming - cue full on RTD by the time we get to the pool

Muser · 18/06/2010 08:24

I hope RTD stays well away jolls, I have high hopes for you.

Morning ladies

Feeling a little bit ropey this morning (thank god I'm working from home today) Several friends at work were made redundant and it was a group leaving do. I started off well, only drinking lime and soda, but eventually graduated to the booze (well 3 glasses of wine and vodka and cranberry juice) I've given up drinking except for special occasions Today I feel tired and parched!

This is my first AF since my MMC and it's back to normal . Usual first day heavy flow, and days 2-4 diminshing flow.

Deep breath as we embark on TTC officially next week

batteryhen · 18/06/2010 12:45

mrsM glad to see you back, also pleased you can get on with ' the job in hand' now

Can I ask a question of all the wise ladies please. I am due AF today - no sign, however this will be my first AF since WTF, so not really expecting it on time. However yesterday and today have had lots of EWCM. Is it possible that my body is only just kicking in - and instead of AF - I am actually Ovulating??? Would be nice if so as DP is back from Germany - and sat at home with his swimmers ready to go - I am at work though

Would appreciate any wise words xx
