bluesatinsash · 25/07/2010 13:05

Sebastian? Aways loved that name and can see Iggy with a Seb... Like Dominic too. and Samuel, Rory, Oliver...

Atkins too severe in my book, weight watchers every time - sensible points system, nothing is barred etc. did it after I got married and put on nearly a stone in as many weeks due to excessive wine drinking.

Off to see Toy Story 3 - yipeeeeeeeeeee!

Back on later.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

Will be back either tonight or tomorrow for an update. Also went to see Toy Story 3 yesterday in Imax 3d (or is that 3d imax?)

Runs before barbie throws something at her!

SabsFabulous · 25/07/2010 14:32

Hi vjay

I have to say that all this diet talk is inspiring me to do something as well as I have 2-3 stones to lose . Is there a diet where I can carry on eating bread, cheese, chocolate, pasta? No??

VJay · 25/07/2010 14:44

I wish sabs!!! It looks like there are a few of us with a couple of stone to lose. Was texting neeko earlier and we thought that if we take it steady we could achieve our goals by Christmas, we could all motivate each other, have weekly weigh-ins, chat about low fat food etc, are you game?

VJay · 25/07/2010 14:47

Oh and we can share tips too

OP posts:
cupcakefairy · 25/07/2010 14:49

Vjay i made cookies with egg whites the other day & dh used the yolks to make egg custard tarts so yummy. or any cake u make u can add an egg yolk to make it richer. not great tips for dieting though!!

VJay · 25/07/2010 14:50

cupcake , I know it's hard to diet and do homebaking, but my boys like my cakes and I find it so hard to not eat it too.

barbie1 · 25/07/2010 15:05

sabs get the atkins diet book and launches it across the green house at sabs

Dolly hates baby rice! had to keep adding milk...dont know if its because she is tired or whether she is going to be like mummy and prefer sweet stuff, after all she did eat loads of the pear puree

Im covered in the rice stuff, she decided to lunge at my breast with a mouth full and now its set solid....

Im up for a weekly weigh in....after i clear the fridge of all the naughty stuff

VJay · 25/07/2010 15:08

barbie maybe try some a teaspoon of baby rice mixed with a teaspoon of pear puree.

Hi ladies, finally at an actual laptop not stupid phone!!

Loving the diet talk. Personally I am very to Atkins as don't get how you're allowed to eat so much fat! I think I mentioned before the Montignac diet it is brilliant and my Mum is sooo slim on it! It's gradual weight loss but sustainable unlike crash diets. I plan to incorporate some of it into my diet soon to shed some of this baby flab but like Neeko can't go too crazy cos of bfing.

It is based on the GI scale so you can actually have some carbs. It's all to do with what you eat them with. It's also no sugar allowed at all but you can have fruit sugars, and chocolate that is more than 70% cocoa solids as a snack which is actually really good for you. I know you're only supposed to eat fruit on an empty stomach with this diet, as then it gets digested immediately and doesn't sit on a full stomach turning into alcohol. I'm gonna get some more of the principles from my Mum & I'll list them along with meal ideas
I'm happy to go on the list too but don't actually own scales!! So would have to weigh in whenever I go to my Mum's Definitely got at least a stone to lose to get back into pre-preg clothes though.

Vjay dh and I really love baking too so makes it very hard for us to diet! We are lucky to both be naturally slim but now I've had a baby I feel like a right frump next to him!! We currently have chocolate cookies, custard tarts, a carrot cake and muffins in the house all baked in last couple of days

barbie LOL to dried on baby rice on boobs Jude has suddenly become very dribbly so dh and I are constantly walking around with wet patches on our clothes now!

curly are you stopping feeding cos curlygirl is hitting 6 months? I thought I would only do it for 6 months but enjoying it so much at the moment will have to see how I feel!

blue and neeko of your meetup! Have fun!

4ever love your songs idea for Summer. Sweet Child of Mine was playing on our way to hospital to have J; that was quite apt

I too miss moon & think of her a lot...please do post again when you're ready lady

Jude has managed to find his thumb finally after weeks of trying and now settles himself to sleep sucking it- so adorable! I was a thumbsucker myself til I was about 12 (and still occasionally now ) so happy to let him do it as for some reason I really don't want to give him a dummy.

Sure there was loads else I wanted to say... I'll be back.

Go iggy!

< knock knock, pokes head round greenhouse door >

hello girls

just a flying visit to let you know i am here and ok, its sooo lovely that you still remember me, it means a lot that you think of me, you are all such thoughful ladies.

still very busy in rl, still loads of problems going on so hardly ever able to get on here, and when i do, i feel so behind that i could never post and catch up, and now i feel that i've left it so long, but felt i had to at least come and say hi after so many of you were wondering where i had gone. struggling with just being me atm too, not sure where i lost myself or where to find me again, and why its taking so fecking long to make a baby, that always used to be the easy part, keeping hold of it was always the problem

anyway enough of rambling, huge hugs to everyone, and baby dust to my fellow small panters.

you girls are all wonderful

barbie1 · 25/07/2010 16:51
