Hi girls, still nothing here and still extremely frustrated! I know some people go way over 7 days overdue but I am just feeling sorry for myself and have had a big cry this morning.
I'm mainly stressed by the fact that

  1. I am getting a billion texts/emails/facebook messages a day asking for news and some having a go at me for not getting a move on...I know they're joking but has really annoyed me do they think I'm not sick of waiting too, or that I'm holding on to this baby for a laugh??
  1. Because baby is late it means my family's potential plans to visit this week are scuppered. Dh's family are all over next week during half term & it now means they'll ALL be wanting to visit at the same time (we both have huge families) really stressing me the thought of it.

Sorry...me moment but thank you all very much for making me laugh when I came on here - what with Vjay's dh's interpretation of dh , curly's dd chucking breast pads, and the thought of us ringing up a hospital asking for 4everhopeful , you have made me giggle.

I haven't heard from 4ever since yest afternoon. Her battery could well have died.

gracie the sweep is actually Saturday. And I would be walking around loads but have feet like baby elephants' thanks to fluid retention. Meh. Guess I'll have to persuade dh to dtd again tonight though it clearly doesn't work!!

OP posts:
GracieGirl · 26/05/2010 14:32

I can just see the confusion on the poor receptionists face when you ask "how is 4everhopeful doing, its MummyLovesSadie here".

Curly at curlygirl stealing your breast pads, don't tell my DD!!

DD going to sleep in the rocker was a one off and she only slept for 20 mins - but hey its a start!

iggypiggy · 26/05/2010 14:35

MLS is not that one.

Barbie she did mention it on an earlier thread - but not sure I should post it! You are right about patient confidentiality!

Am sure she'll be in touch when she can... agree with MLS that she must have had her by now! We are all just too excited...

cupcake poor you - Do you have any relaxation CDs you can do? Just to stop you feeling so stressed? Everything will be fine you know - stuff always is - it just sometimes feels overwhelming... that is not meant to sound patronising - is just I have been learning to chill out cos stressing doesn't affect the situation either way, so you may as well be calm as stressed (does that make sense?!) I only say that cos I have a tendency to fret over stuff too...

QuestionsAgain · 26/05/2010 14:48

Just a check to see how everyone is getting on, was expecting news!

Hope 4ever is ok and just recovering and spending too much time with her new baby to update. Did anyone watch that channel 4 birth programme and see Joy who was being induced, she was there for days

cupcake hope the sweep does the trick, at least you feel you are doing something iyswim, you are so at the mercy of baby deciding to come, but its good to feel you are helping them on their way Yay to 1/5 engaged

neeko hope you are having fun at your parents and they are looking after you all well.

mermaid Hope you are enjoying yourself in the sun, especially as it seems to have gone here.

blue sorry to hear you have been poorly the feeding and being sick sounds horrendous.

bakingqueen I laughed at your post apologising if you posted twive and then it did

barbie Showing your knockers you have got are going to get a name for yourself happy anniversary too.

Gracie Love seeing your middle of the
night lurks!

lbm jojo is such a cute nickname and glad to hear your Dh and parents are taking good care of you.

Iggy hope you enjoyed your holiday and pleased that baby is heading in the right direction Not long until we do all this again for you!

annie lovely to hear that the gap is working out well, I love the idea that your DS1 can help out too.

jools 2ww nailbiter is a good term and omg, i do get so impatient so there will be plenty of nailbiting. I hope the counselling helps and that it gives you a good opportunity to talk things through, sounds like you have a lot going on at the moment and I hope things ease a bit for you. It must be so hard even thinking about coming to terms with a childfree future and I want to say there is plenty of time, but that is probably not what you want to hear. Thinking of you.

monkey Definitley dress No2. Once your Dh sees you in it he will love it too, ime men find patterns difficult unless someone is wearing them iyswim. It is perfect for a wedding, you will look fab.

vjay Sorry I missed your Ds's homework project I love a good craft project as well, the bird feeder idea sounds great. Great to see all the lovely messages here about you too, I hope the counselling helps you to realise how important you are to your family, friends and online weeble friends! And as someone else who often worries too much about what other people think, it is good to realise sometimes that other people just aren't that important.

Hello to mrsKate moon thanks for the babydust. Like curly i am hoping this is moon month too. I hope things in your DP's family have settled down now?

curly lovely that you are having 'chats with curlygirl now, it's amazing how much you can get from hu, hu, hu isn't it?!

MLS your scan pic is lovely and clear, so pleased that the scan was reassuring, hopefully you will now have an uneventful 2nd half of pregnancy. You asked about TTC, we are just (hopefully) coming up to/just had ovulation so busy SWI (and fun ) and then as jools put it, it is the 2ww nailbiting stage The counting/planning side of ttc appeals to the organised and planning side of my personality Saw a newborn yesterday and felt a little pang of jealousy so know it is the right decision to try again. No more bad dreams either luckliy.

Right, that has taken forever so have probably xposted with everyone! Hope ThepFJ is lurking too, keep wondering how she is getting on and why she hasn't come back, went all stalkerish and searched on MN, but she hasn't posted anywhere since Easter and had been a long time poster. So hope she is out there lurking and started TTC too.

Will check back in later

QuestionsAgain · 26/05/2010 14:50

barbie lol at my typo of knockers instead of Knickers

GracieGirl · 26/05/2010 15:03

QA I looked for PFJ on MN too, she's disapeared.

Cupcake huge hug - do you have any photo albums to organise? I sent off for a load of photos from snapfish to finally make proper albums from all the photos on my computer, I had DD before I put any photos in albums though. Its just really frustrating waiting isn't it! Especially when the texts start about a month before you're due. DH will have to be visitor monitor once you get your baby- or maybe just stay in hospital where visitors can't overwhelm you.

BuddhaBelly · 26/05/2010 15:20

Another lurker here, but thought I'd post this time
Hope we here from 4ever soon or we will have gone through a whole 1000 posts just waiting
Cupcake Poor you, I have got my pom poms out the cupboard and will do a little labour dance for you if you like I imagine its really frustrating being overdue, especially all the well meaning questions and comments. All I can say is it will be well worth the wait I promise
MLS Brilliant news on the scan results and wonderful pictures
Monkey Lovely to see you posting lots
Vjay Hope you are OK after sharing with us the other night? I second the others you are always on the go, you juggle career with 2 kids as the americans would say "you're awesome"
Barbie Guaranteed to make me laugh

One handed typing at the moment so have only done personals for the ones i rember will have to go before i drown in dribble

CurlyBigPants · 26/05/2010 18:08

Oh cupcake you poor love. I remember being at only 37 weeks and getting really frustrated. You have been so patient! Hang in there. I predict you'll go into labour on Friday night!!!!

Big waves to Buddha and Iggy. This lurking is making me hungry... Anyone for a bacon sarnie to tide us over??? Lol at qa referring to barbies knockers. The really funny thing is that both could apply based on barbies recent mishaps

Gracie I wheeled curlygirl around French comnection today and that put her to sleep. She then slept for an hour while I had a decaf white choc mocha and a massive slice of double fudge chocolate cake. There must be something in the air today that is making them sleep

I'm worried about our 4ever

MummyLovesSadie · 26/05/2010 18:08

Cupcake I'm not surprised you are stressed out regarding visitors. We were really strict with visitors when I had dd. I was in hospital for four days & had no visitors which was just what I wanted. Then when we got home we waited a couple of days & my parents came to stay for two days & luckily dh's family live in Scotland so they came down as & when they could. I think it's so important for you to have some time with just you & your baby & your dh. You don't want to have to look after anyone in your house & you really don't want people to be sticking their oars in & giving you well-meaning but unwanted advice! Also do you really want to hand your lovely new, germ-free baby round to umpteen relatives that are going to breathe all over him/her?! Sorry, I've probably not made you feel any better have I?! Btw how come you are on fb & not friends with any of us??? Or is it just me?? I've just searched for you & can't find you.

QA are you doing anything to help ttc, such as opk's, temping etc? This is exciting, it feels like ages since we've talked all things ttc on this thread!

CurlyBigPants · 26/05/2010 18:10

qa pompoms are GO for ttc!!!! What's the update on cycle date etc?

MummyLovesSadie · 26/05/2010 18:17

Oh yes Curly a bacon sarnie sounds divine, with white squidgy bread, nom nom nom. I'm hungry all the time at the moment. Last week I couldn't get enough of mangoes but the flavour of the week this week is banana nesquick milk with a chocolate chip lemon muffin.

Lets do a sweepstake, I think we need to be time specific as Cupcake will definitely go into labour very soon:

Curly Friday evening
MLS Thursday at midnight

CurlyBigPants · 26/05/2010 18:20

You're right mls on the visitors!! I wish we could have had two weeks just the three of us

And we definitely need to be talking about ttc more. Let's bring out the famous emmsy's whitecoats and talk opks

GracieGirl · 26/05/2010 18:21

Lurking for news again. I'm getting worried for 4ever now its been a while since we heard anything.

CurlyBigPants · 26/05/2010 18:23

Just realised that we don't have bacon or squidgy bread! Another cunning plan foiled

GracieGirl · 26/05/2010 18:23

Curly Friday evening
MLS Thursday at midnight
Gracie tomorrow (Thursday) morning at 3.20am!

MummyLovesSadie · 26/05/2010 18:30

Well I have some lovely bacon but just crappy healthy brown bread. Maybe somebody could pop up to the co-op for the squidgyness?

Gracie I'm a bit worried too.

GracieGirl · 26/05/2010 18:31

I've got bacon and no bread. Got tomato ketchup and brown sauce though if anyone wants it.

CurlyBigPants · 26/05/2010 18:31

Me too I'm sure she's fine bit it's weird not to hear anything

cupcakefairy · 26/05/2010 18:42

Thanks MLS, I totally agree about being strict with visitors and would so love a few days with just dh and baby but that is what's stressing me, the fact that next week is half term... 3 of our 4 parents are teachers and therefore it's their only time off. I'm really hoping they will be helpful and if not I'll tell dh to have words!
Think we will have to just be very strict with our friends to not come until a few days after family have gone.

sorry that I'm not friends on facebook! I guess it's the same kind of thing as moon wanting to remain private... if I ever bitched about a RL friend/family member on here for example I wouldn't want you all to be able to work out who it was (but don't worry I don't bitch about you guys on facebook! haha)

Love the sweepstake, that will keep me distracted I feel like Rachel in that Friends episode when they're all betting on her having the baby

qa that was a classic typo and curly is so right cos I didn't even realise it was a typo until you pointed it out (sorry barbie!)

Woohoo for ttc-ers! let's don those white coats again

I was too scared to go out shopping on my own earlier incase waters broke (ha, fat chance) so dh and I are going now to stock up on food...now bet we'll have to wait another week and stock up again

OP posts:
bluesatinsash · 26/05/2010 18:49

just quickly checking in and worried no news from our weeble....

I can feel the tenseness just scrolling up the thread.

cupcake - big hug, it's rotten going overdue...

Sorry bathtime, better go x

littlebellsmum · 26/05/2010 18:54

Can I join the worried ones - I do know someone who was induced and it took a week. It could be that either the battery has died or she is too fed up to post - I'm sure everything will be OK in the very big Surrey hospital that I'm sure she's in.

Got to go - babyJ is crying on dd1's knee and dd1 is getting a bit panicked!

QuestionsAgain · 26/05/2010 18:56

Wow, going to catch up again in a mo (you lot have been busy over the last few hours ) but wanted to get my place on the sweepstake bagged as I have a strong feeling about it. cupcake of course for your sake I hope it's earlier!

Curly Friday evening
MLS Thursday at midnight
Gracie tomorrow (Thursday) morning at 3.20am!
questionsAgain Sunday morning 5.50am!

I think I won Neeko's sweepstake, so I am hoping for a double whammy

monkeybumsmum · 26/05/2010 18:57

It is worrying not having heard anything from 4ever... Really hope everything's okay, but think most likely explanation is that her mobile's run out of juice.

Yum yum yum to bacon sarnies, could just do with one of those. We are having beans on toast with poached eggs for supper - am trying to eat more eggs to make my own a bit better

Righty ho, sweepstake time Hmmmmmm...

MLS Thursday at midnight
Gracie tomorrow (Thursday) morning at 3.20am!
Monkey Friday morning at 11.10
Curly Friday evening

QA Love the long post! Excellent re ttc, hope you and dh are having lots of fun I too am shaking my pom poms, speaking of which, VJay dh and I are now officially Gleeks Have just watched the whole of series one, two episodes every night. We're not sure what to do with ourselves now it's finished. Hmm, can probably think of something

DS is in the bath with dh, so am off to dry the no doubt sopping bathroom floor. Won't be posting this evening as dh thinks I'm spending too much time on MN (is he mad?) but will try to sneak on for little lurks. Really hope we hear something soon.
Have a good evening all x

MummyLovesSadie · 26/05/2010 18:59
