so the doctor just called and she is concerned enough to have booked me a growth scan....arrrggggghhhhhhhhh, i want this rollercoaster to stop and let me off!

So ladies in white coats please help me out....i have searched back through all of our old threads to confirm (what i already knew) that i got my bfp on the 6th june...which makes it 36 weeks ago this coming sat.....how soon can you get a bfp? if i remember correctly i had a small amount of spotting the month before my bfp..and the result 32 days later...which make me what now???? around 39 plus something weeks?
whats the least i can be and max i can be......

Sorry for me me me again (turning into quite a week for me eh?)

iggy glad you heard the heart beat, roll on march the 16th....

VJay · 11/02/2010 10:28

barbie I would put you at 40 weeks pg , so go have that baby

iggy glad you had a happy scan

gracie good to see you, but go get some sleep

barbie1 · 11/02/2010 10:42

vjay thanks....just reading back...(gosh some of the old post are soooo funny

Had 2 days of bleeding 6th and 7th of may...
bfp 6th june
scan 16th july..measuring 10+2..
So somewhere i have lost 10 days should of been 11+5 at that stage...

so if i go by first scan 16th may was cd 1 which means i got a bfp on cd22 is this possible?????

Sorry...im doing my own head in trying to work it all out, ignore me!

barbie1 · 11/02/2010 14:08

tis very quiet here today

Sabs1981 · 11/02/2010 15:00

hey barbie I'm lurking. I'm around on FB if you want to chat

iggypiggy · 11/02/2010 15:05

barbie sorry - am here!

I think a BFP is possible on CD 22 if you ov'd really early? I don't quite know! But surely CD 1 was the bleeding? So actually earlier than the 16th may - then maybe you ov'd late?

Sabs1981 · 11/02/2010 15:42

Hello ladies, hope everyone's well.

Barbie what a week you've had! I just wanted to say that you have had to go through so much these past 12 months, including moving to another country. I think you should be very proud of yourself. And dont worry yourself about posting 'me' posts, we're here to help (well I try to help! )

iggy yay at your scan going well! I'll send you an email on FB to let you know where I live

gg so nice to hear from you. We want to see pics now! That goes for curly too!

Anyone know what time monkey's scan is today? Good luck hun

4ever I am loving being off work and dont want to go back - but sadly dont have a choice, as we want to be able to buy a house. I forgot to mention that after being made redundant twice in 2 years, DH finally found a permanent jon which hopefully means that I can take a full year out - yay! Our baby massage classes ended yesterday - we even got a certificate for it! We've been filling our days trying out lots of classes locally that the childrens centre runs. Today is the first time in ages we're at home all day. We're hoping to try out baby yoga in a couple of weeks but its on in the mornings, where afternoon sessions suit both of us more.

mls sorry to hear about DH's reaction. I agree with the others, maybe he's just trying to protect you both. I also watched that programme. Wasnt Lisa lovely. That Steve really annoyed me and I cant believe they had their 18 year old son there in the room!

buddha Loving the pics on fb!

kate I cant believe you only have 7 weeks left. How long do you have left at work?

vjay did ajay sleep through the night again? I am very very lucky, as saara goes to sleep around 10-11pm, and then doesnt wake up until 8-9am, and has been doing so since she was 7 weeks. Occasionally she will wake up for a feed in the night. I realise how lucky I am reading some of the posts on here, and hearing other mums. Not sure it will last though when she starts teething.

cupcake another at you being 6 months pregnant! I'm sure the time hasnt flown by for you. I also went swimming once a week throughout my pregnancy and just bought a tankini one size bigger, to give space for the bump, but I think places like mothercare do a maternity swimming range

neeko so sweet of you to remember me in the middle of the night! You must be near to the start of your maternity leave now?

scamper Havent seen you around for a while. Hope everything's ok.

moon have some babydust from me too

Hi to bq blue lbm mermaid jools mm annie and sorry if ive missed anyone.

Thanks to everyone who responded about my feeding questions. I'm trying to be more relaxed about it. She is having an ounce more now than previously, so hopefully things will get better

Also for those on FB, I have the eastenders exhibition pics up.

I'm going to the Sanctuary, which is an all-women's spa next week, with my mum and two sisters. I bought my mum and sisters vouchers to say thank you for all their help when saara was born, and DH thought I needed a treat as well!

Better be off, but will be back soon and forever lurking

VJay · 11/02/2010 15:50

hi sabs glad the feeding is going better now. You are lucky that Saara slept through from such an early age. Ajay didn't sleep through last night, he woke at 2.30 for a feed and I fell asleep , but I woke 15 mins later to look down at him staring up at me, it was so sweet. Yay for your dh getting a permanent job too, that is brill , plus I am so of you going to the Eastenders exibit, I can't wait for the live episode next week, who do you think did it?

Sabs1981 · 11/02/2010 15:54

Oh I can't wait too! First I thought it was Sam, but now I'm not so sure. They've really confused us havent they. What about you?

Sabs1981 · 11/02/2010 15:57

Saara just plays when she wakes in the morning, and its the best feeling in the world she sees me, she just gives me the best smile and jumps around, well in the way that a 4 month old can! I have to be extra careful as she's rolling around a lot more now. Before her hand used to get stuck underneath her, but she can move that out of the way.

VJay · 11/02/2010 15:57

I just don't know, but I do hope there's a twist and it's a real shock

VJay · 11/02/2010 15:58

It's amazing how quick they go from a tiny tiny baby to these little ones that can now roll, smile, laugh and coo

Sabs1981 · 11/02/2010 16:47

For those not on FB, I've put a couple of photos up of Saara

VJay · 11/02/2010 19:44

Gorgeous pics sabs and what a head of hair, I won't show Ajay he will be jealous

Sabs1981 · 11/02/2010 19:51

She doesnt have that hair at the moment DH cut a bit too much last week, it ended up being a number 3 all over using a machine. Honestly dont ask! But luckily her hair grows fast. I've been dressing her in lots of pink so people know shes a girl

VJay · 11/02/2010 20:23

Awww the poor love. It looks like it's just me and you today sabs

cupcakefairy · 11/02/2010 20:44

Gosh where on earth is everyone?
Hi Vjay and Sabs anyway gorgeous pics Sabs and that is amazing she sleeps til 8 or 9 am lucky you!

Had my mw apptmt today and went a LOT better than the last one; she was lovely and really funny. Measurements and hb all good, Titch is breech at the mo but obviously plenty of time to swim back round!

Iggy isn't John Lewis buggy dept fab so glad everything is looking good for you.

Gracie sooo lovely to hear from you and how poignant for you to be posting on the anniversary of your loss. Hope the lovely Isabelle is helping you to heal even more. (By the way, fab name if I do say so myself, it's mine but just the other way round )

Barbie sorry I got lost in the maths somewhere but I agree with vjay you're definitely close to 40 weeks. Hope growth scan ok.

Monkey hope everything was ok today, do drop in and chat.

MLS you're quiet too...everything ok?

A 95-year-old Irish lady came into the shop where I work today and when she saw I was pregnant said 'Oooohh congratulations, it's just the best time of your life, I hope you have a daughter' lol

Evening

Have just dragged myself over to let you know that the scan this evening went really well There was a strong heartbeat, and the size was good. I was so relieved it was all I could do not to cry! Thanks for all the good luck wishes!

I've had a quick look through what's been going on - Barbie you poor thing, you have got so much on your plate at the moment. Am sending you a big hug and hoping you're okay x

Iggy Well done for your scan today too! It must've been lovely to hear the heartbeat!

Have to go - the longer I stay upright the more sick I feel and I want to try to keep my supper down!
Love to all and I hope you're all okay...

ps MLS How are you feeling? Not sure about my due date yet, have got head firmly in sand where that's concerned but suspect it might be end sept/beg oct.

Must dash...

MummyLovesSadie · 12/02/2010 07:56

Hi all

Just another quick one from me, I've been so busy for the last couple of days so haven't had a chance to post. I get so tired by lunch-time that instead of being on mn I grab 20 mins on the sofa listening to one of my meditation podcasts while dd watches Wallace & Gromit.

Barbie what a terrible time you've been having lately & what confusion over your due date. I hate to say it but I bet it wouldn't have happened in this country. Yes you can get a bfp on day 22. I usually ov on day 11 & get a bfp on day 21 - although it is a faint one.

Neeko it's a long weekend for you isn't it? That mat leave is hurtling towards you at high speed now.

Monkey so pleased your scan went well. I don't really have any symptoms. I sometimes have sore nipples, lower back-ache & I had quite a bit of cramping pain on my left-hand side yesterday but nothing apart from that.

Right gotta get dd ready for her last ballet class of the term now. We are allowed cameras on the last day so I might post some pictures later!

Waves to all of you & I'll be back for a proper catch-up later.

Sabs1981 · 12/02/2010 09:06

Hi has anyone heard from barbie ? I don't have her mobile number and can't stalk her on fb until this afternoon. Posting from phone hence short post

4everhopeful · 12/02/2010 10:02

Morning Mls & Sabs! No not heard from Barbie, im gonna send u all out my new email when back at work on mon, in about 8 to 10 wks my work email will be no not more, ever again! I kno iv hardly been there as nurturing bubba bump, but i will miss it so much, i have loved workin there, it was my dream music industry job & iv met/spoke to so many people & had some great experiences.. ......Anyway i totally digress, was just poppin on quickly to say how very very very pleased i am for you Monkey! Just thrilled all is lookin well, is that first time u have ever seen the heartbeat? Im optimistic the treatment has worked, im also sure your mum is smiling down on you sending her blessings... .....Just spoke to Dh, (he passed his driving theory yest btw! ) we are picking up the moses today, he said maybe we could bring it home? What do you all think? I know the pram is bad luck, the cot or moses isnt tho is it? We have been loving seeing the clothes & toys in there this last week, he thinks it would be nice, so do i, tho bit scary, but also shows faith... X x x x x

Neeko · 12/02/2010 10:20

Hi all. Sorry I've been AWOL for acouple of days. Trying to tie things up at work which is prving impossible and been very tired at night.

Barbie so sorry you're surrounded by so much stress. Thinking of you and hope you'll have your lo in your arms very soon. (Just had a Barbie moment when i looked at the list and realised I'm second - eek!)

Iggy I know we texted but fab news o your scan. I hope you're going to treat yourself the lo to some baby stuff soon.

Monkey Had a bit of a well-up when you said lo has a heartbeat,. So happy for you and hope the sickness isn't getting you down.

Cupcake Loved your 95 year old woman story. i have a maternity tankini from Mothercare as I'm hoping for a waterbirth and my tshirt was heavy and cold last time. The Mothercare ones are very roomy. I got my close baby carrier on Wednesday and I'm practising with DD's teddies and dolls

Sabs It sounds like you're making the most of your mat leave. Enjoy the spa - you deserve it.

Buddha mat leave really goes quickly and I remember the dreaded heavy feeling in the pit of your tummy. I feel really blessed this time as our entitlement has improved so mmuch since I had DD. It's like a lottery win!

MLS Hope things are going well with you. Pleased that time is ticking on. 13 days to go.

LBM can't believe you're just in mat clothes. I'm the size of a houseI

Blue and Annie Hope you're both getting a bit more sleep. I remember the stubborness to use formula well. Will probably be the exact same this time if I can manage to breast feed again.

VJay what happened to the virtual christening? Hope the real thing is simply lovely on Sunday.

Gracie Glad you're home and that you came full circle in a year. Give Isabelle a kiss from me.

Curly Hope all is well with you. Big hug to you and Grace too.

4ever well Mrsviablebaby? It feels great doesn't it?

Mermaid How are you? You know we've put something behind your back tire to avoid you backpedalling don't you?

Jools Hope you're ok, lovely and somehow coming to terms with your awful news.

BQ Lovely to see you. Don't be a stranger.
HI to Moon Hoping and Ginger if you're lurking too and to all our Mum's who are too bogged down in nappies and milk to get on here.

Neeko · 12/02/2010 10:22

Hi 4ever BRING IT HOME!!! and good luck at back to work on Monday. Congrats to your clever DH too.

barbie1 · 12/02/2010 10:52

Im here!

Sorry if i worried you sabs....

Spent so long on the internet yesterday that i had to force myself to switch it off and give myself 12 hours rest bite from it!

monkey i woke this morning thinking of you and your scan, dh let me break the internet ban to check on you, very very happy for you

mls thanks for that advice re bfp on day 22...after madly working and re working out the dates to good thing is that the most i can be is a week over and the least i can be is 3 days behind...
Anyways im going to see what the scan produces and take it from there....they check how healthy and old the placenta looks so that gives an even better reading than just looking at the baby. So fingers crossed for monday. Oh and ive come to turns with the family being here if it works out like that...what will be will be!

As for the heart thing, well.....ive been really good and havent googled or anything, remaining calm til next appt.

4ever bring the moses home..... I have mine at the end of the bed, with a toy monkey that dh has swaddled (he was practicing!) looks really funny, especially when dh comes from the bath room and pretends to talk to the monkey/baby....congrats to your dh too

Ok im off, this was just a short visit, its the weekend and i intend to spead as much time with dh as poss, you never know it might be our last one

Lots of love to you all xxx
