4ever I'll watch out for Dr Armstrong then! I like the midwives there - they seem lovely - although I know the prog is old!

Realised I missed out lovely MLS Hope you not feeling too worried.. hang on to the positive scan result you had. I really remember how hard it was from the 7 weeks scan to the 12 week one. Time really dragged.

cupcakefairy · 08/03/2010 13:54

Hi girls
Had a v lovely weekend thanks lush being cooked for by my lovely Mum and just having a laugh with all my siblings. Bump did get a lot of attention but I am not happy with little Titch right now because s/he barely moved all weekend so my Mum didn't even get to feel a kick...and as soon as we get back to Cardiff- flips and kicks again! Naughty baby.

barbie love the birth story, well done you! I did read the bits you said not to but it's ok, I'm not too traumatised! You did so well.

4ever your birthday sounds amazing!! So glad you were spoiled, you deserve it...and about the charm bracelet!

Blue the song is called Scratch by Kendall Payne...can't find the actual scene online now, only montages of Derek and Meredith but it's a gorgeous song.

Moon so glad you are still there pom poms out for you going into battle and we all understand the bittersweetness of wanting to stay away but not at the same time..

Neeko your bump is gorgeous!! You look fab. And you're a knitter too? Fab...what are you knitting? I'm doing another blanket at the moment in 2 colours this time but itching to start on a more difficult project; have got a fab book from the library with some in

MLS boo to the accu getting cancelled but hoping it will give you even more reassurance on Weds that your bean is just fine even without it

PFJ so so sorry to hear of your ectopic; that must be so hard. Please do come back when you can and we will all don white coats as you ttc and hand hold through your next pregnancy

Big waves to everyone else

cupcakefairy · 08/03/2010 13:57

Ha, just realised I used the word 'fab' 3 times in just my message to Neeko need to expand vocabulary!
Speaking of which, we played a word game yesterday with the family in which dh accused me of being 'slowed down by the baby' cos I was playing rubbishly and I'm usually good at word games! Pregnancy brain is definitely a real thing; I've become way more clumsy and forgetful in the last few months too!

monkeybumsmum · 08/03/2010 15:08

Hi ladies - am sooooo sorry not to have been on for so long, have been stressing madly about it, but have just got out of hospital . Walked in the door five mins ago so this is literally a quickie. To cut a long story short the sickness got so bad that when I went for my scan they ended up admitting me, and have just spent a week on a drip. Feeling very wobbly, and the sick feeling is already starrting to come back so if I'm not around you know why...
Am so sorry if I worried anyone, but haven't been able to get on a computer in hospital, and before then have just been tryin to exist in bed.

Barbie I'll have to check back to see all the details, but huge congrats on the arrival of your little one. Have been thinking about you loads x

MLS How are you?

Must go as need to sit down, but I will do my best to come back on soon. Hi to all xxx

barbie1 · 08/03/2010 15:19

monkey was just about to go all stalkerish and email you on fb!

We have all been thinking about you, if i remember correctly mm was admitted to hospital with the same thing...and now she has a gorgeous little girl Im sorry you dont feel too well though Thanks for thinking about me, both Me and the baby are fine!

cupcakefairy · 08/03/2010 16:00

Phew, monkey so glad you are ok (well, as ok as can be under the circumstances!) and that bean is ok too sounds absolutely horrendous with the sickess you poor thing, and bless you stressing about not being able to get on here!
Go rest up, and thanks for letting us know you're ok

4everhopeful · 08/03/2010 16:31

Oh thats crap you have been so poorly Monkey but very relieved all is well with your bean! Go & rest up and take it easy, hopefully you have some anti sick meds that might be helping now? Very relieved you are ok though!

Big waves to Barbie & Devon...

Cupcake glad you had a nice time with your family! Also relieved to hear even your super active titch has quiet times! Frustrating as it may be!

Im soooooooooo shattered, my lil scare left me feeling most weeble like today & have been at work far tooo long, I leave at 4.45pm today... Counting down! I just need my sofa, all the rest & recouperation DH made me do at the weekend has been undone by being here all day! Cant wait to put me jim jams on and return to my lovely sofa! Have got really busy few weeks ahead too!

Neeko · 08/03/2010 18:10

Hello.
Monkey so sorry to hear you've ben so ill but glad lois ok. Hope the sickness passes (or at least moves to manageable levels) soon. Take care.

FabFabFabCupcake Glad you had such a good weekend. I'm knitting a cardigan but it's much slower than when I was pg with DD. The cardies I knit are for nighttime as they aren't fit for public viewing. DD got her hands on my knitting the other day and unravelled some of it. I was so tired and crabbit that I cut the wool and threw it in the bin rather than fix it!
Do you have a moving date yet? sending you some virtual bubble wrap.

Iggy LOL about boobs this size Glad I didn't offend you. It's crazy the things that come into your head in the middle of the night! Here's some sand to help you through to next week.

4ever Hope you're on the couch by now and your DH is cooking you something yummy.

MLS Hope you've had your feet up today.

Wriggler surpassed him/herself last night on the kicking font. Felt like there was a whole leg sticking uot at some points Left me very crampy this morning and bump has dropped some more so even took my labour bag with me when we went to visit my mum. Obviously not needed though.
Also picked up my buggy today so we're ready and raring to go.

Hope all the absentees are doing ok and not weebling alone. Who's on the 2ww now?

Neeko · 08/03/2010 18:31

LO is (although if it's a girl would you consider the name Lois?)

VJay · 08/03/2010 18:43

Evening ladies , and thanks for all the advice, Ajay only woke once last night so will persevere for now.

monkey so pleased to see you and so sorry you've been so poorly.

neeko I fell off my chair viewing your sideways photo, I was trying to get a really good look at you, I shouldn't be so bloody nosey should I! Lovely bump though xx

blue I cannot belive Ben is 10 weeks old already, we need another piccy of him please

mls you are getting close to bigpant stage so the tiredness should be wearing off now, you will be fine

Big waves to moon good to see you too, I was thinking of you over the weekend thinking that you will be getting to the 2ww soon, good luck xx

Big waves to everyone else too

GracieGirl · 08/03/2010 19:03

Monkey sorry to hear you've been poorly. If you want you can have a copy of the secret Emmsys phone numbers list so you can text us. Very good for taking Mumsnet support with you to hospital where you can't get on the internet. Obviously you will need it when you give birth so you can up date us!! We're an impatient bunch! email [email protected].

DH on nights again tonight and tomorrow night. I hope MrsKate doesn't mind me updating for her but she's in hospital with possible pre-eclampsia. They are threatening to C section her if things don't improve. So Boris might be queue jumping and making an early appearance. My DH is the anaesthetist on the next two nights so he'll make sure she gets good care.

Running off to eat something whilst Isabelle is asleep, she's due a feed pretty soon. Been to clinic today and she now weighes 9lb 1oz

MummyLovesSadie · 08/03/2010 19:06

Monkey really glad you managed to pop onto mn & tell us you are relatively ok. It must have been a nightmare week for you. Did your dh have to stay home & look after ds? I hope you have got some anti-sickness meds? A few of the women om my antenatal thread are using the travel-bands that you can get from chemists & they all say that they help.

Neeko I had to have a sneaky little lol at you cutting up your knitting (although I'm sure it was less than funny at the time), that sounds like something I'd do! Actually I'm very impressed by your knitting prowess. Maybe I should try & knit a blanket or something?

Talking about knitting, I wonder how Hoping is doing.

I'm feeling less wobbly today as I've been dog-tired despite getting (a wonderful) 8 hours sleep last night. Also this afternoon I hadn't eaten for a couple of hours & I felt weak & sick. Feeling queasy now which I'm obviously very happy about!

I know I've missed loads of you out but I've got to put dd to bed now so I'll be back in a bit.

GracieGirl · 08/03/2010 19:20

Evening MLS! Yes I think about Hoping everytime I put the hat my Mum knitted on Isabelle's head. I hope she doesn't stay away too long.

bluesatinsash · 08/03/2010 20:14

MLS - love your hover statement . 8 hours sleep? ahhhhh, one day it will be mine....

Gracie - please send mrskate all our good wishes and love, how many weeks is she? 34?

Neeko - there's a west of Scotland saying I don't know if your familiar with, my boss says it all the time when someone is doing her head in that they are (and I quote) "enough to rip your knitting" - you took it literally! V. imporessed too, i only managed the token 'seal' we did in primary 4 which was plain knitted square folded over and pom pom put on end - ta da one seal .

monkey - you poor thing . MS is the pits but being horpitalised must be awful. Really hope the meds help you cope. Were you this bad with your DS?

4ever - hope your on the couch in jim jams and sorry to hear you had a knicker checking scare but phew it was from - ahem - other end

Vjay - fingers crossed Ajay was just feeding to get over his lurgy. Yes Ben is 11 weeks on Wed - mamma mia! He is just so edible all rolls of fat and smiles for Mummy. Bloody hard work too though!

barbie - how's the feeding today?

Iggy - deep breath for amonoly scan, are you finding out flavour? We need more boys !

cupcake - I will youtube song, should have done it before I came on here...hold on a minute...

...just did it - very beautiful song, love that deep American accent - very Dawsons Creek (mean that as a compliment loved that show especially Pacey yum!). glad you had a lovely weekend being spoiled .

DS1 and me made the famous family 'chocolate balls' yesterday and they have been chilling in the fridge so off to partake, night night xx

ThePFJ · 09/03/2010 01:37

Hi everyone, still recovering and very tired, but feeling better. I'll be on here soon to talk to you all properly. Hope you are all doing ok.

Hugs, ThePFJ XXX

barbie1 · 09/03/2010 09:46

Hello again,

Thanks for all the advice re feeding/ co sleeping etc....im doing whatever Devon whats to do for now, the feeding seems to be working as we weighed her yesterday (in the tummy tub, balancing on the bathroom scales) and she is 7lb now so something is working

pfj we are all done fine, dont worry about us just concentrate on getting yourself better.

mls i hope you arent too wobbly today....funny how we all have little things that help us through, mine was never wear white pants for fear it will make me bleed i think i had to wear a pair once when i went out on the tennis fancy dress and spent the whole time in the loo cursing myself as i was sure i was going to make something bad happen, Im sure it was neeko who wrote on the shower screen every morning....im guessing your accup is something of a ritual for you, but like both myself and neeko sometimes its ok to miss something once, im sure your lo is nice and cosy and waiting to show off for you again on wednesday

gg lol at your shopping story, ive been trying to get out within the hour to when she falls asleep as i know i have about another hour before i have to do the whole change/ feed/ burp thing for the next few hours! Although i have to say i have breast fed her in a few places now and im not at all fazed by it...i just hate it when she cries Its the not knowing excatly what they want and feeling bad that they are crying in the first place! Gosh dont they just tug at your heart strings????

neeko i forgot to say i hope your dd is better and you are feeling brighter after a shitty weekend. I cant beleive you are next im sooooo excited. Oh hangon kate could be next!

4ever and cupcake im glad i didnt scare you too much with the birth story...really once you are in the throws of labour you will forget about everything but your baby, i totally forgot i was butt naked, weeing myself and shouting like a mad one and even having the pessary up my bum for the next few days were managable because i just turned and looked into the crib although i did refuse the first lot of painkillers when she told me where she had to stick them!

iggy yoga is sooooo hard! The moves were harder than the bog standrd yoga that i did all the time pre pregnancy. I blame my heart palputation for giving up after the first week

blue pacey is mine....so back off ...Tahnks especially for you advice re co sleeping and feeding. I have co slept for the last two days now. I was just worried she would get used to is and never be able to sleep without being near us, but if you little boy is ok in his cot them im sure she will be when the time comes.
How do you make chocolate balls????? I want some!

mermaid glad you are back with us hun, how is af...is it any different from normal? Are you getting any pains from your fibriods? I hope you are taking it easy and enjoying the sun which i hear it shining in the westcountry

4ever hey weeble, how you doing? Did i say that your b day sounded fab? cant remember if i did! Your dh is such a sweetheart, you are both going to make such lovely parents Hope the spotting has stopped, if i remember correctly i had some at 26 weeks too (from naughty dh though!)

moon i just want to hug you sooo badly when i read your posts. You sound like me 9 months ago It took me 9 months to fall after mc and some others on here just as long if not longer so pls dont be dispondant, it will happen and sooner than you think. Have you thought about hassling the gp again, you can borrow all of us and the barbiemobile if you want too. Take it easy and keep us updated x

Right must dash to make the most of the hour i have while madam sleeps...will be back soon x

iggypiggy · 09/03/2010 10:41

cupcake can't believe I forgot to say hi to you in my post yesterday! Do you think that maybe your mum has a calming influnece on the baby - maybe you can put that to use?!

barbie am well impressed you are still able to get on MN and update us all - the yoga was definitely far harder than I was expecting! I thought we might just get to chill out for a bit and listen to music - congrat on the weight gain for Devon!

monkey great to hear from you, but so sorry you feeling so ill.

thePFJ glad you feeling a bit better, keep looking after yourself and chat whenever. xx

neeko all kinds of strange things come to me in the night these days, so I know what you mean - great news about pram - almost time!

blue no - we going to keep it a surprise although my current feeling (based on nothing in particular) is boy...

Vjay keep meaning to tell you this, but am also a bit - but I read an article a few weeks ago which was talking about 'Vajazzle your vajayjay' - which I now always see when I read your name

I have a sore throat this morning - which is annoying cos I don't want another cold - the last one took forever to get rid of!

Neeko · 09/03/2010 11:04

Morning!

Vjay Laughed myself silly at you falling off your chair grin]I'm such a technophobe that I have no idea how to turn pics. If anyone has an idiot's guide, please share. Glad Ajay is settling down and well done for persevering. It's sooo tempting sometimes to claim your boobs back.

Gracie Poor Kate she's had a hard time. I'm to admit that I'm a little bit to think of her queue jumping. I'm so uncomfy now that I want this baby out! What were the 3 CDs you copied? I have the birth one and was going to email the important bits from the advice booklet that came with it unless you passed that on too?

MLS Trust you to laugh at my stress! DH sneakily rescued it immediately as i stomped off and I've managed to recover most of it. Won't be planning a career change anytime soon.
What time's your scan tomorrow?

Blue I had heard that phrase before and it's very apt. Can't believe Ben is 11 weeks. Had a at "He is just so edible all rolls of fat and smiles for Mummy." BTW Kate is only a week behind me I think so 37 weeks??

Barbie sounds like you're getting into the swing of things. Good for you. BTW I STILL do the shower thing and burst in on DH one day because I forgot Definitely not starting it to trecord the age of this Lo when born or I'll still be doing it at 90! DD much better now, thanks. Sending her back to nursery today too so I'll get some me housework time.

PFJ Glad to see you're feeling well enough to check in. Sending you a bucket load of mini eggs to help you through.

Neeko · 09/03/2010 11:07

Morning iggy x-post. Well done for doing the yoga. Now get some freshly squeezed orange juice to up your vit c levels.

iggypiggy · 09/03/2010 11:10

neeko I have an orange by my desk - so will eat it now - also meant to say - fab bump pic!

Neeko · 09/03/2010 11:13

Thanks enjoy the orange!

VJay · 09/03/2010 12:46

Hello lovelies,

Firstly iggy what's vajazzling and what's a vajayjay?

mls loving your hover too, well done to blue who noticed, also blue loving the sound of chocolate balls , how do you make them?

gg please say hi to mrskate for me and tell her I'm thinking of her, the poor thing.

Lol at Devon being weighed in her tummy tub, genius idea

Managed to get my washing hung out today for the first time this year and it's really made me happy, sad I know when that is all it takes

iggypiggy · 09/03/2010 12:49

well - you did ask

Vajazzle vajazzle

GracieGirl · 09/03/2010 12:56

News flash!

MrsKate is having a C section later today, most probably early evening. I will keep you all posted. She sends her apologies to Neeko for queue jumping! She's 36 weeks. She had a scan and they are guessing that Boris is approx 6lbs, which isn't bad at all.

Neeko the 3 CDs were - Pregnancy relaxation, Effective birth preparation, and Relaxing birth music. If you want me to send you any you don't have I can. Or if anyone else wants them.

Off shopping with Isabelle to get goodies for Boris and MrsKate that DH can take her tonight before he puts in her epidural!!! She only has huge baby clothes with her.

Neeko · 09/03/2010 14:10

EEEK! Very excited (and a little anxious) for MrsKate Please send her my love Gracie. My CD is the effective birth preparatin one. Think it's too late for the 1st one and I've already sorted my "sounds" for the birth, but thanks.

Iggy Love the link! Will never think of Vjay in the same light again!

Vjsy hope your washing's drying nicely. Sad things like that please me too - it's probably because the opportunity to hang out washing doesn't come very often in Scotland!
