Hello lovelies! I'm now officially on maternity leave (possibly until December )

Barbie Hope by mow you've ruined those white trousers

Sabs Lovely to hear from you and that you're throwing yourself into all things mummy with gusto.

Blue Didn't manage a heel click, in fact when the time came I was a little reluctant to leave I'm such a control freak that I have difficulty believing that anyone would care for my classes as well as I would. The fact that there has been no cover teacher organised also makes me Hope you made that call about B's christening today.

4ever Hope you're over your weeble for a wee while. Won't be long til your next scan. I'm sure all will be fine.

MLS squeezing very tightly to your hand for Wednesday and will be staring at my phone until you text me.

MrsKate Hope your last 3 shifts go smoothly and quickly.

Annie Glad the sleep thing is settling down. You sound like a different woman than you did the other week. I'm having little panics about a non-sleeper as on reflection DD was such a good baby.

My DH got some of the baby stuff out the loft (finally) last night. The cot is now up and the stickarounds on the walls so it's beginning to look like we're having a baby! i've done loads of baby washing today and shocked myself at how small things are. Loving the gorgeous hand knit cardigans that DD had. Think a baby really looks like a baby in a hand knit.

Love to everyone else.

I am lurking here, Ajay is a bit poorly, I'm off to the out of hours with him at 4, he has a cough and has been very sleepy today, it's probably nothing but want to get it checked.

Hi sabs I was so excited last night for Eastenders and thought the whole thing was great , was shocked at it being Stacey

Yes 4ever I am home again now, and busy painting the kitchen.

Need to go and change out of my paint splattered clothes

VJay · 20/02/2010 15:17

Sabs1981 · 20/02/2010 15:43

Yay to neeko being on maternity leave! And possibly until December

vjay let us know how you get on with ajay at the out-of-hours. I remember going to my local when saara got a cold at 2 weeks. My parents thought we were typical OTT first time parents but the doctor said they would rather see parents who care too much than parents who care too less

Loving your tag thingie

Sabs1981 · 20/02/2010 15:52

I done the hover status thingie too

VJay · 20/02/2010 16:34

VJay · 20/02/2010 17:26

See how he gets on but have some calpol in just in case

Neeko · 20/02/2010 21:43

Poor Ajay If his nose gets blocked, invest in one of those Karvol plug ins. They are great. Remember to raise his cot matress slightly at the head end too. Hope you alll get some sleep tonight.

barbie1 · 20/02/2010 23:19

Its 3.15pm here any one awake????

babybarbie has been keeping me awake for the last few hours, wont stop moving Had a few pains too and my back ache is worse.....Never really had much of a disturbed night sleep in this pregnancy.

The movements cause me to call the labour ward, i remember reading on hear that any changes in movement, more or less to call.

So im sat here eating haribo snakes and drinking juice on the orders of the midwife...i have to see what happens in a hour and call them back. I guess they are thinking i havent had enough sugar today???

Im scared keep thinking the baby is in distress or something?

Ill update you all later..

GracieGirl · 20/02/2010 23:37

Barbie I'm up. I don't sleep any more!

GracieGirl · 20/02/2010 23:39

Barbie Text me during the night if you need a chat, I'll be up.

Sabs1981 · 21/02/2010 00:28

Hey barbie i'm also up for a little while but posting from my phone so not the best of posts. Your situation is kind of reminding me of the night i went into labour. I started leaking what i thought was fluid and couldn't sleep. I think i just watched bbc news! I know how sad! When we called the labour ward they told us to go in. But when i got checked out they said it was thick discharge but i think when the midwife examined me she involuntarily gave me a sweep. They then sent me home and that's when the contractions started! I think i was due to go in the next day anyway to talk about being induced so i was happy that it started naturally. So here's hoping that happens for you too! Hi to gracie too. What's isabelle doing?

GracieGirl · 21/02/2010 06:36

Just finished feeding Isabelle again. No news from Barbie. Hello Sabs.

barbie1 · 21/02/2010 08:55

broadcasting live from the delievery room in dubai

ouch!!!!!

Just to let you all know came in last night, baby fine but very active...they called my doctor who said just to keep me in

Had water broken (not that bad) but then baby freaked out and heartbeat went way too high finally calmed down and now sat wired to monitor and drip to start contractions...which are starting and hurting!

So with any luck tonight ill be a mummy....might not be on here for a while but ill text and update as and when i can...

barbie1 · 21/02/2010 08:57

ps thanks gracie

littlebellsmum · 21/02/2010 09:21

Hurrah - hurry up babybarbie, don't be too difficult for your mummy!

Hope he arrives quickly and as painlessly as possible, barbie ps I've tried all the drugs and they are mostly good, especially the epidural!

PS neeko - you're next!

Will post more later but just wanted to let Barbie know that there is someone here!

Sabs1981 · 21/02/2010 09:35

So exciting go barbie go! I'm going to drive dh mad by lurking from my phone all day from the baby show! Hi to lbm i agree, epidural's the best

GracieGirl · 21/02/2010 09:36

Go Barbie go! Thanks for your texts. I hope you get a birth like mine!

littlebellsmum · 21/02/2010 09:38

Hi Sabs
Enjoy the baby show - if you see anything that we absolutly have to have, let us know! Also, need to know the most ridiculous thing on sale too - it used to be the wipe warmer that was advertised in Emmas diary first time round for me!

I've done babies both with and without epidural and can't decide which is best! I'm aiming for without this time but we'll see!

littlebellsmum · 21/02/2010 09:39

morning gracie - I think we all wish for a birth like yours ( without the last part, mind!) Hope Isabelle is a good girl today
