Afternoon all. Just got back form super-posh hotel which was bday pressie to make up for my catastrophically miserable birthday a few weeks ago. Got plastered and ate too much. Our menu of booze for the evening went something like this: champers, then G&Ts, then wine at dinner and then brandy. Needless to say I feel pretty uuuugh today but it was fun. Also managed to SFF for first time post MC. Hurrah for me! Our room had a super king size bed - I'm a gonna get me one of those - love sleeping in a bed so big you don't realise there is someone else in it too.

Question from novice BESH: I bought some o'them wizard pissy sticks such as tell you if you're ovulating. Howsoever, they're always negative, even though according to counting days and (TMI! TMI! You're trying to eat!) All the EWCM stuff I should be ovulating like billy-o.

Are they ever wrong? Or can you have all the symptoms but not producing eggies? Anyone know?

ead ov piss sticks and I had a brief and unfulfilling relationship. They shall not be forgiven for literally pissing me around. They never said yes. I do know, however, that apparently the best time to piss on ov sticks is afternoon-ish (2pm sticks in my mind) and in some women the window in which a proper ov stick line can appear is mere hours, so it's entirely possible to miss it [crap] I stuck with temps and EWCM - and once my cycles sorted themselves out post pill, it worked. #

Yep, Ead, never use the OPKs first thing in the morning - I did the first month I use em and never got a yes, even though was awash with FFJ and ovulation cramps. Don't forget that just because you're supposed to OV on CD14, doesn't mean you will. Start testing on CD10, in the avo ideally, and keep going till you get your 2nd line. I've OVed on CD21 before now

I do OPKs, temping and checking my FJ! All bases covered

BTW, I'm not airy and careless around TYF (that's The Young Fella, in case you were wondering - he's 9 yrs younger). TYF sounds a doll. I was gifted some OPKs, and only got one yes, the morning after I reckoned I had ovulated. They packet said between first pee in the morning till 8pm (I think). I can't buy such things on ebay as my folks know our ID and I can't be arsed setting up a separate one.

Hellooo! I am quickly posting during a pause in 'teen vampire movie' Twiglight, whilst the Boyf takes a call, so might well disappear without a trace.

I'm back at the hospital tomorrow for another dildocam, so I will talk to them about 'folds' on my wimbledon common, and hopefully, I will have some feedback from my blood tests...I doubt they will have been organised to have taken a look at them yet, though. To be honest, I am not a shrinling violet, so could easily have asked for more info on my 'fold' the other day, but I just couldn't be arsed ... I know it sounds weird, but I just though 'whatevaaahh!!!' - they will look into it no doubt, and I don't want to start worrying about anything else at the moment!

I am on the ov stix again and will probably get basted on Wednesday when the two weeks of madness will commence, but I am going to try to keep busy and ignore it "La, La, La!", and if it doesn't work, at least I gan guzzle lots of lovely wine on my trip to Rome!!

Eadwacer I would agree with Curly re. the ov sticks ...I think I have only ever seen a line as dark as it 'should be' once. Also, I find the interweb cheap ones to be really faint at all times. At the clinic I go to, they always ask me to POAS first think in the morning...don't know if that is helpful.

Gin, do you have trouble conceiving as well as hold ing to pregnancies...it loooks as thogh you have been having a tough time of it recently, but good that that they are taking it seriously after your ectopic...I hope that you are looking after yourself.
