Ah hah there you are Blue you make sure you do tx me too as soon as any sign please my lovely!!! [stern voice!] Tis v exciting!

Also how could I forget how really pleased & happy Iv been to see our lovely Gracie back on the regs! Missed you lots hon!

Another hug & a ton of optimism & prayers for Mermaid... Im so so hopeful, and also pleased that you may have actually found your cause to the previous mc, frustrating as it maybe it wasnt picked up before, its something that can be fixed & Im hanging onto what your specialist said about the other lady in your situation having a healthy baby in the end.. Shall keep praying, prayed at hosp chapel as we always do on the way in, and the way out, & asked for your christmas miracle (in those words).. In fact have been praying constantly, I think he's listening you know!

Right poor mums probably dozed off by now & must go pick DH up from sainsburys in a min too!

xxxxxxxx

VJay · 17/12/2009 16:06

Thankyou littleblue for letting your mummy post to us, we were all getting excited thinking your wee brother or sister was on it's way
Twinges blue! very exciting

4ever glad everything is ok, you will feel braver as you get further into this pregnancy, and they wouldn't be stopping all these things if they thought they shouldn't, have faith my lovely

VJay · 17/12/2009 16:09

mermaid I've just remembered my step sis had fibroids throughout her pregnancy, they caused her some pain and she had to have them removed after baby was born, infact I think my neice was 3 when she had them removed, but they didn't effect her pg.

mermaidspurse · 17/12/2009 16:33

can you believe the phone is still engaged/ left off the hook reckon you are right curly tis a sign!

blue This is getting rather exciting. I hope you are not snowed in or anything dramatic. I am at the ready with my pom poms.xx

4ever so glad that all was ok with your appoint. I can imagine that having all the safetly blankets reomoved is a bit daunting but you will get through all of this.
We may however need to resort to buying jars of super duper wrinkle cream a little earlier than we would have needed to previous to all of this.

Thank you for all the prayers and thoughts too.

vjay thanks for that on the fibroid front. Getting over the shock of it all a bit now.

CurlyBigPants · 17/12/2009 17:10

Hey welcome back 4ever glad the appointment went well, but think mermaid is right about that wrinkle cream. We'll all need it

blue phew you had us worried - and excited make sure you keep us posted on any twinges. After all due date is tomorrow (I think) and you know how well behaved babies are about coming on time

lovelymermaid hope you're doing okay honey. I was thinking we may need to organise a movie night to somehow try and distract you even for a little bit but then checked out movies for tomorrow night and there was not a chickflick or christmas movie in sight. We may need to synchronise our dvd collections instead

bakingqueen · 17/12/2009 17:16

Hello all sorry been away foir a while just needed some head space from the ttc now feeling slightly bad for leaving without saying goodbye but back now anyway ok here but just had to say hello not really had chance to catch up properly but read the few posts about mermaid* I am really hoping for a xmas miracle for you you deserve as all you lovely ladies do for things to work out for you will be thinking of you x

love to you all promise will be back tomorrow xmas party with work so off to get ready xxx

BlueMoon1981 · 17/12/2009 19:15

oh mermaid why aren't things ever simple, i mean of course you don't want bad news, but waiting all weekend is almost worse than bad news cuz you can't deal with it.... more big fat hugs coming your way, you are so very brave. mn must have put the christmas biscuit on just for you lovely lady

bq nice to have you back again, totally understand you need space, we have all been there, but good to know you are still around

i went to see my friend and her week old baby today. i had psyched myself up so much i felt sick and almost didn't go. i don't know what i was worried about, it was fine! apart from 2 minutes where i got the shakes holding my cup of tea, i had such a lovely time, and had the little one in my arms for a whole hour. i sat stroking her cheek and her tiny hands and she was as good as gold. i thought i would feel sad but i felt happy and kind of relaxed like a weight had been lifted. i never ever cried. maybe this was my final hurdle.

Joolsiam · 17/12/2009 19:55

Well done Moon I don't find cuddling babies hard - it's just giving them back that is difficult !!

BQ - good to see you back. We all need space from time to time

Blue - you've got us on the edge of our seats

Mermaid - I dread to think where your head is right now Early scans and tests really are a double edged sword ... I'm crossing everything (bar my legs ) for you

I LOVE the fact that most of the TTC'ers are in sync I normally ov on CD15, so will hopefully step up the "practice" this weekend and keep my fingers crossed that DP will rise to the occasion

Not long back from Bluewater - bank account is in shock, but I have almost finished pressie shopping. Nothing for me - will wait for the sales

Off for dinner and The Restaurant on tv now - just had to check on Mermaid first. Helllooooo to everyone else

MummyLovesSadie · 17/12/2009 20:30

Well honk the horns, ring the bells & hang out the bunting - MLS finally managed a successful bd tonight!

Well done Moon for being such a strong lady. I well know that churning, sick making feeling that is facing friends with new babies. It makes you want to run for the hills.

Jools I love the fact that we are all in sync too. I have an image of all the medium & big panters in support knickers & holding pom-poms on the sideline cheering us on!

CurlyBigPants · 17/12/2009 21:27

Woohoo MLS let's have some more of that tomorrow we'll sort out those pompoms for ya!!!!

Moon you are very brave to get through today. I think I told you before about visiting my two friends who shared my edd's for the first time and how I cried all the way home. It was a real turning point and I got pregnant a month later so hoping and praying for the same for you

jools I can't tell you how much I smile every time I read your posts recently, you sound so much happier have fun at dinner but don't spoil your appetite for afters

welcome back bq have lots of fun tonite!

Big waves to everyone and especially mermaid. Just four more sleeps honey xxx

Joolsiam · 17/12/2009 21:57

Curly - I honestly feel like I'm getting my mojo back and am only just realising how bad things had got !

I keep catching myself smiling again and it is such a strange feeling

GP follow-up appt tomorrow - am hoping she gives me some more happy pills - I like them !

It is snowing really really hard here - snow angels tomorrow

MLS - way to go !!!!!!

ChristmasCupcake · 17/12/2009 22:22

Woaaah girls, I don't read for a day and a half and then there is so much catching up to do that I've had to leave dh wrapping pressies on his own (I will probably have to redo them later )

mermaid I'm joining the miracle-prayers and just want to echo everyone else in saying you so don't deserve this. You are a wonderful lady. Hope the waiting doesn't send you insane xxx

4ever so glad consultant is so positive about the pregnancy; I hope that reassured you a bit and as VJay says, you have to believe! You're 16 weeks tomorrow!!

iggy how are you lovely? How long til scan now? It must be around the same time as my 20 week one? (8th Jan)

Hi yummy mummies annie and buddha hope yr lovely boys are doing well

Moon huge huge congrats and high fives for getting through that visitand as Curly says, I hope it's a turning point for you and a sneaky Christmas bfp

smallpanters my pom poms are out for you!! Hope this is a babydust filled weekend.

Right, off to untangle dh from the sellotape...

iggypiggy · 18/12/2009 09:45

Still thinking v. much of lovely mermaid have a lindt chocolate santa and hope the weekend passes quickly, because if anything the waiting is the worst bit xxx

mls so glad you BD I have pom poms out and am cheering all smallpanters on.

4ever don't think I have said - but so pleased you had good cons appointment. Can imagine is scary to think of the safety nets going, but you must believe that it is because you really don't need them - which is even better

cupcake I am ok - mainly panicking and then feeling fine about stuff - head firmly in sand as much as possible. My scan is 4th Jan and I should be 11 + 6 - the earliest date they could do! Impatient? moi? Hope you feeling happier now?

neeko you sound happier too - hope you feeling less hectic.

And talking of people feeling happier jools just want to echo what curly said about how nice it is to read your happier posts. You must feel so much better.

blue v. glad people have your mobile - we certainly need to hear asap of any developments!

curly Hope you got a good break over Christmas? I think you sound like you need one.

big waves to everyone else am heading back into my sand xxxx

4everhopeful · 18/12/2009 12:34

Mornin Igs save some of that sand for the roads today! Will be holding ur hand on the 4th, once xmas passed will be here before u kno it! .....Mermaid gonna speak to sil about fibroids, stay on ur sofa & enjoy all the virtual hair strokes & hugs bein sent your way.... X ......Jools wanna say i agree how fab u sound lately & im so glad your mojo is truly back with a bang - literally! ......Talking of bangs Mls YAY! Go girl! My pom poms are out! .....Moon ur so brave about ur friends baby & my heart goes out to you, i relate totally, my 2 friends that had babys v close to my 1st & 4th edds (one nearly 2, other 16wks, both with same name!) are comin round today for pressie exchange, even now, still not particularly lookin forward to it & just want it over, that sounds bad & can only say that on here, also between them there are 3 siblings so 5 manic kids here from 2pm! It will be wierd seeing what could of been.. DH has work lunch today so have excuse of escapin to pick him up! I sound awful dont i? .....Also weebling a bit about this trace of protein in urine & woke in night googling infections, have been feelin nauseas again too also have had pain under left boob/rib when sleeping, as mainly sleep that side (as instructed by books etc) put it down to stretching but its worrying me a bit too!

MummyLovesSadie · 18/12/2009 13:24

Hey 4ever please don't worry yourself silly about protein in urine as it's so so common. I had it several times when I was pregnant with dd. It's probably just be a urinary tract infection. Depending on how much protein is in your urine could mean you have pre-eclampsia but ONLY if you have other signs including high blood pressure, bad headaches and dizzyness. I think I was given antibiotics once for it & then another time my blood pressure was a bit high so they sent me to hospital & strapped me to a machine to measure dd's movement but all was fine. Water infections are very common in pregnancy. Make sure you drink loads of cranberry juice & try not to worry.

I did a funny thing just now - I peed on two sticks at the same time! . I use a cheapie & a 1st response & I wanted to see what happened when I put them under the same wee! Well 1st response looks positive now & so does the other one. I'm hoping dh will not go to his Christmas do tonight because of the snow but if he does go I'll just have to make do with bd'ing tomorrow. I have a feeling my temp will rise tomorrow though so it might be too late. ChristmasCupcake you are the temping expert - would you normally bd on the day of your temp rise as I usually never do as I assume it's too late?

ChristmasCupcake · 18/12/2009 15:54

Haha MLS I love that image of peeing on 2 sticks at once...you're like a proper scientist at work
Hope you get a chance tonight but yeah I still would on the day of the rise. When using temping to not get pregnant the advice is wait until the third night after the rise to be safe, because in any given month you can theoretically release 2 eggs so that means 48 hours of fertility go girl!!

Iggy thanks lovely, yes I am feeling a bit happier but think that is due to prospect of being looked after by lovely MIL and Mum for the next 2 weeks having ups and downs tbh but crying talking about it with friends has definitely helped.

4ever stop worrying yourself silly Mrs 16 weeks. I keep waking up in the night with terrible back/boob/rib pain too, you are not abnormal, promise. Don't know much about the urine thing but listen to MLS, you'll be fine Hope it went ok with all the kids brave lady!

Have a lovely weekend girls (especially small pants girls ) I'm getting a haircut in an hour- YAY! (love having my hair done )

mermaidspurse · 18/12/2009 16:24

bakingqueen so thinking of you and hoping the new year brings some sparkly better news with it. Hope you enjoyed your work do.

moon you have crossed so many hurdles high five super brave lady

Blue now I am worried about the snow! Hope you are ok as ok can be not cleaning too much and getting a wee bit of rest before anything really exciting happens.

jools love reading your mojo post

curly its lovely to see you posting lots and thank you for all your words.

I have been sort of resting manically doing stuff before school broke up today. ds is wishing very hard for snow but instead its sunny and very very cold.

mls can't remeber if we ever presented uyou with a white coat but you really must have one now. I find it hard with one stick let alone 2. Glad its all stations go and fingers crossed.

cupcake hope you are enjoying your swishy new hair. Mine only ever swishes after its been done.

iggy thanks for being such a sweetie. You are doing a very good job of keeping calm and buried in the sand. I hope you are feeling ok.

barbie hopefully that headache is gone, bet you can't wait for work to be over. and to make you jealous it was -1.5 this morning and my primroses are looking a little confused.

4ever yes I think that probably the protein is fairly common and I don't think you should worry too much but know that of course you and anyone else would. Hope the kids coming round didn't result in too much chocolate in the carpet, at least with other peoples kids they go home!

I am kindda ok, fessed up to mother and major sil rather than keep it all in like last christmas for fear of upsetting people. I think I actually upset hem more by not telling them.

mm i have been thinking of you cos you are getting fairly high up on that list now, next after *blue if memory serves me right. So heaps of love to you and hope you are ok.

sabs annie lion vjay big cuddles to those precious bundles

and just cos I like doing it

MummyLovesSadie · 18/12/2009 20:39

ChristmasCupcake thanks for the info, I don't think I'll get a chance tonight but will try tomorrow. As for using temping to not get pregnant - what a bizarre concept, who would do such a thing???

Mermaid glad you fessed up. I think these things are always best out in the open. I've told my parents about every pregnancy this year against my dh's advice & I'm glad I did. I can't imagine keeping such a major thing from them.

Right I'm off now to wax some doors. I have a life of non-stop thrills.

bluesatinsash · 18/12/2009 21:51

Evening

MLS PMSL at you putting up the bunting . Since watching that 'great sperm race' programme last spring I really think its the bd you do in the days leading up to ovulation that do the trick. The months I waited until I got a +ve never worked in all four pgs... Really great to see you posting again and with a successful bd under your belt

4ever agree with MLS - they found protein in my urine at 16 weeks and on Wed there. not had resuts from Wed but 16-week was fine. Its so common and only a concern if coupled with high BP, swelling and headaches. Really pleased your appointment went well and feel your concerns about your support blankets coming off but they won't be coming off all on the same day. I had a wobble when i stopped taking my asprin @ 30 weeks even though i knew deep down it wasn't what 'saved' this pg and was a placebo but taking is was reassuring and made me feel I was doing someting. hope your house was OK after the five chidren left!

Mermaid Really glad you told your Mum and major SIL (who is your minor SIL BTW?). Its too much to carry just you and your DH especially with all the close family get togethers looming. Thanks for concerns re: snow, its stopped here but icy, icy, icy. Thankfully motorway is only 10 mins from us and hospital only 20 mins other side so getting out our estate is only tricky bit!

Hey to everyone else, especially those busy bd all weekend

Our PC monitor decided to expire earlier so have pinched DH's work laptop but may not get on again this weekend as I had to go through a gazillion firewalls. will txt though if anything happens but I doubt it!

OP posts:
CurlyBigPants · 18/12/2009 22:08

Hey just dropping in to make sure our lovely mermaidprobablydementedwithnotknowing is doing okay Hope you are getting lots of hugs from your lovely ds I will send some snow down from London tomorrow to make him smile. Nice work btw with biscuit face. I keep trying to find occcasions for them but have too much to comment all the time see... it doesn't make any sense xxx

moon how are you hon? Make sure you are enjoying the christmas festivities because I have a sneaky feeling that soon you will be abstaining from all sorts of things

bq how did the party go??

jools am picturing you lying in the snow making snowangels while DP looks on in despair I'm sure he is really happy to have you back though How did the appointment with the gp go? Hope you got that repeat prescription to give you time to get properly sorted

4ever please don't worry about trace of protein, it is fairly common and probably nothing. They will whisk you in like a shot if there is anything to worry about xxx

iggy brave lady holding out till January but it may be a good plan. I always get nervous (and suddenly pessimistic) in the run up to every scan so at least you can hopefully relax over xmas and not have that worry till Jan

cupcake I bet you look fab with your new haircut. Do you do the same as me though and walk out of the hairdressers, make sure you are out of sight, and then mess it all up so it feels like your hair again? I'm so glad you have some good friends in RL who you can talk to. Pregnancy especially after MC is such a rollercoaster and you need to keep talking. Big hugs honey and hope you get spoilt rotten over xmas

mm where have you got to lovely lady?

Professor mls what's the update on dh's christmas party? My friend swears by bd'ing as a hangover cure so there's always tomorrow morning

buddha meant to ask yesterday how things are going? Hope you are both doing well xxx

Big waves to all our new mums and anyone I've missed xxx

CurlyBigPants · 18/12/2009 22:11

Sorry blue took so long posting that I missed you. Totally agree with you on the days coming up to ovulation being important as I thought we were too early on the month we conceived (DH had to go away for a few days just at the wrong time) but it worked

Keep us posted on any twinges. I am so excited at the thought of baby blue coming soon

littlebellsmum · 18/12/2009 23:10

Oooh LBM - lovely to see you in Big Pants It only feels like yesterday you announced that BFP though (probably feels like years for you )

Looking at that Big Pants list, it sounds like we're going to have an eventful January and February on this thread

4Ever - hope you have stopped weebling a little and are slowly starting to enjoy the pregnancy and anticipate being a mummy It must be the BEST feeling - just savour every second

Mermaid - thinking of you this weekend x x

Have a stinking cold, so no proper BD last night - tis a little early though - CD12 today and we are both off now (well I have to do one day) till after Christmas, so lots of relaxation and long lie-ins I hope

Cold improved after forcing myself to trek through the ice and snow to the gym. I then got some more pressies, posted cards and came back to find that lovely DP had put the tree up and decorated it We didn't have a tree last year as I really wanted to cancel Christmas - the 12 week MC was all too raw ..

Have just put some decs up, had my first mince pie of the season and am sitting here, finally feeling festive and with a big smile on my face. I'm suddenly so much happier and at peace with myself that I could cry

It has been a long year, but with the help of this lovely GP, who understands, doesn't patronise and is, unusually for me, easy to talk to, I'm finally coming out the other side and even falling in love with DP all over again GP thinks I'll be on my "happy pills" for a good 6 months and wants to see me every month to check on things. Maybe by then, I'll be PG

Sorry, I'm rambling but at least it is a happy ramble Happy Saturday to everyone else x x x

Neeko · 19/12/2009 15:16

Hi all.

Mermaid Still thinking of you lovely. Hope you're managing to distract yourself for a second minute or two and that DS got his wish for snow. All our dusting of white has defrosted today and we're left with rain again but since we're a mile from the sea and in the West of Scotland I never expect anything else.

LBM Congratulations and welcome to Bigpantsville. This bench is the comfiest I think, but it's probably due to my extra padding. I wish I could be a fly on the wall when you tell the kids - bet it'll be an unforgettable moment.

Blue I'm anxiously waiting for my text. Babyblue has until Wednesday morning and after that he/she'll have to wait til the 26th. I'm putting my bets on a girl BTW.

Cupcakewiththefancynewhaircut Hope it's still looking swishy and not like mine the day after when I always have a temper tantrum in front of the mirror! Do you know that Love Actually is on TV this Christmas? I could have saved myself the Tenalady security alarm nightmare!

MLS I hope by now that you've had 3 successful BD sessions and are grinning from ear to ear! Have you been on www.portablenorthpole.tv for DD yet? It's fab. You get a personalised video message and my DD was amazed! You can even put adults on the naughty or nice list too.

Iggy Thanks for asking about me. I'm still wobbling a lot and have increased the share price on kleenex once again this week but I'm looking forward to the holidays and the rest. Hopefully that will sort me out. I've had a lot of nightmares recently about the MC and the ERPC in particular, but I'm sure that's just me worrying subconsciously about this one - as if I don't do enough conscious worrying!! You're doing so well and the 4th will be here before you know it.

Curly Hope you're starting to slow down now and curlygirl gives you a respite from the vomit on Christmas day.

Barbie hope the head's better.

4ever Congrats on making it to 16 weeks Hope it won't be long until you feel brave enough to move into big pants. Have to echo what the others said about only you needing the security blankets and not the baby.

Speaking of echoing, Jools I'm also pleased to hear you sounding so well. I really hope that this has been the step you need to make your world right again and your wishes come true. Hope you and Monkey have had successful missions this weekend so far.

Have to go and get ready as DH on way home early from work so we can take DD to see Santa. Think she'll either hide or explode with excitement. He's treating us to dinner after too (must be the result of unexpected BD last night )
Hope you all have a good weekend, whatever the size of your pants!

Neeko · 19/12/2009 15:18

Jools x post. What a happy post from you! actually made me cry! Really hope 2010 is the year where all your dreams come true, but in the meantime enjoy falling in love all over again. You deserve it.
