Annie Hope all goes well at consultants appt and will think of you when you are laying your memorial flowers x
Barbie Love the Chrismtas tree decoration ideas, pmsl at the toothbrush incident
Cupcake Glad you had a great time at the Muse Concert, 6 months to finish your book, you'd better get cracking
Moon I so hope your body isn't playing tricks on you, but you know there is only one way to find out. I admire your restraint in not buying up the whole shelf in the local late night supermarket!
Blue Good idea on the sensor mat under the circumstances.
Iggy How's that sand? Got any in your eyes yet? You need to do what feels right about the scan, just don't go too early. Have you heard back from the consultant about the horse riding? I agree with Barbie I would wait a few weeks, you will only worry and not enjoy yourself when you go. On the symptom front I didn't get anything until 6 wks and then look out!
4ever Firstly what a lovely suggestion to Iggy re scan. Secondly I bet you didn't get one wink of sleep last night? I am thinking about you and sending bucket loads of positive thoughts my lovely
Sabs Glad to hear Saara got through her jabs alright, obviously Mum led by example

Officially started maternity leave today, although had physio this morning so no lie in! It sank in yesterday that at the latest I will actually have a baby 3 weeks tomorrow, how bloody scary is that!!!
On that note I am retiring to the sofa and telepathically sending warm thoughts to 4ever x

VJay · 17/11/2009 11:05

YEAH for 4ever Bet you couldn't wipe the smile off your face with a scrubbing brush today!!!

mermaidspurse · 17/11/2009 13:05

ha! she could if she used one of barbies scrubbing brushes

hope you are not feeling as cream crackered neeko

bluesatinsash · 17/11/2009 13:44

Just bloody brilliant news 4ever . Think the British Isles dipped a little with us all breathing out at the same time - fantastic, I'm so unbelievably chuffed and relieved for you and your DH .

Moon go with your gut, if you want to wait and see (otherwise known as the LBM method) then grand but digital tests are the business in terms of clarity.

Iggy - as the girls have said every pg after mc is conducted under a microscope especially symptoms or lack of. As annie says they don't normally kick in until 7 weeks but that won't help your worrying I know. You just have to hunker down, post here lots for reassuring hand holds and (IMO) stay off your horse for a few weeks..

Buddha - lovely to think of you lying on your coach chilling and counting down the days. Three weeks at the most - jeezlouise its all too exciting .

Vjay - hope your DS1/PFB (thanks Neeko - love that acronymn ) is on the mend today.

Sabs - well done brave Saara. Its actually alot easier when they're tiny. My poor DS had his booster last week and it was the first time I had to explain what was going to happen and his wee lip was trembling..

Gutted for MLS, really hope it didn't dampen her holiday. At least she can fire on and get investigated as she had to be 8 weeks post-mc.

Neeko - hope the parents were kind to you last night! Only under 5 weeks til school hols - ho ho ho!

Mermaid - had wee thinking of you and me fighting over Brandon Flowers and him looking at us with a don't think so ladies way .

cupcake - how many words have you typed today? .

Annie - well done for making pram spick and span. We are using Ds's one although I did treat myself to new chassis/wheels. Its currently sitting in nursery as I won't allow it in garage in case it gets all cold and damp and spidery. cue 4 months on when it will be chucked in garage on a daily basis .

I'm off to post a question on the 'baby names' thread if anyone wants to nosey - all suggestions greatly received! We have our girl's name (although I'm still torn between two) but really struggling for boys and want to open it up to the floor so to speak .

BlueMoon1981 · 17/11/2009 19:31

oh 4ever i am so relieved that all is well, i am chuffed to bits for you and dh was thinking of you at work today and sending you positive vibes

buddha how exciting to be on maternity leave, are you ready for it all?

iggy i know easier said than done, but don't compare to your last pg, you have to remember that every time is different and that strong symptoms aren't necessarily an indicator (i must listen to my own advice when the time comes!) i would also agree with buddha and stay off your horse as you wouldnt be able to enjoy yourself for worrying, and then you would beat yourself up about it afterwards wishing you hadnt gone.

hi to vjay and sabs saggy panters! hope all is well with your new los

on with todays update - cd 37 and no af.... but i did stop at the supermarket tonight to pick up 2 tests (they had no digi ones, so have got clearblue 'undigi'). haven't decided yet if i will test in the morning or not. i have to say i don't feel that pregnant apart from sore nipples is it possible my body is playing tricks on me? arrgghhhhh!!!!!

iggypiggy · 17/11/2009 19:37

moon I know - is so hard tho!

I have taken the decison to stop riding and to stop box fit - I can't risk blaming myself for anything going wrong, so going to just do swimming and yoga.

I didn't feel pregnant before testing either - if it helps?

Neeko · 17/11/2009 20:54

Moon Only my boobs felt different before my BFP so you never know.

Iggy well done on making big decisions. I think you're right as motherhood and impending motherhood is a big enough guilt trip without adding to your woes.

Mrskate good luck for tomorrow.

Blue any further forward on the names. I'd forgotten bout the pre-school jab. That'll be another sobfest here

Mermaid Thanks for asking - wasn't too tired last night but exhausted today. Brought home a huge pile of marking but had to give in. Making it my aim after Christmas to set lots more work that can be marked in class but I'm a control freak enthusiastic teacher so it'll never last.

Buddha Hope your first day of mat leave has gone well.

MLS welcome back to Blighty. We missed you.

Sabs Clever Saara and even more clever Saara's mummy

Curly are you out there or have you and Gracie found a cosy cave someplace?

BQ Hope you're doing ok. Your turns a coming.

Jools Hope work's not too manic and you're managing to keep some of that peaceful equilibrium you found.

Barbie What daft thing have you done today?

LBM when are you moving into big pants? They're very comfy!

Annie Hope you're bearing up ok in your difficult week. Big hug for Thursday.

And lastly another big and yeah for 4ever and her magic little bean. Are you able to post some pics or are you a technophobe like me?

My SIL/childminder got a new job today and they want her to start on Nov 30th! Her DH can take over for the hour that our jobs clash every second week but I'm going to have a bit of a childcare hassle on the other week. Roll on Mat leave - only another 12.5 working weeks to go!

MummyLovesSadie · 18/11/2009 07:56

Hi just popping in to say 'yay' for 4ever & double 'yay' for Iggy!

BuddhaBellyBigPants · 18/11/2009 09:31

4ever I am so pleased all went well yesterday, fantastic news!! Just the kind we all love!
mermaid Unfortunately physio couldn't do much yesterday, in too much pain and she's a bit worried to do a lot due to that and the low lying placenta so not seeing me until after the birth, she also told me it could take a while to disappear afterwards bum!
Vjay How are your little ones?
Blue I checked out your name thread and was thrilled to see our choice for a boys name there too - Ewan, we seem to have the opposite problem to you, sorted a boys name unable to settle on a girls, is this an omen
Moon Have you tested? I'm holding my breath for you and may turn a little blue x
Iggy Good decision
Neeko What crap news about the CM, I bet you have the 12.5 working weeks marked out on a calendar already

Second day of maternity leave and I am so BORED! I know I won't be in 3 weeks time, but I am so limited as to what I can do, weather is crap, DH is away on a course so I feel very unsociable need to give myself a good shake I think!

Neeko · 18/11/2009 09:33

Buddha you can look after my DD if you like

BuddhaBellyBigPants · 18/11/2009 10:00

Neeko It's a deal but she'll probably run rings round me on my crutches

anniebigpants · 18/11/2009 10:01

Morning all, im off to meet my friend later for a girlie lunch and a good ol' gossip. Her baby is due 3 days before mine, so we,ll look a right sight waddling around together

MLS-Glad you stopped bye. BOO hiss to AF arriving this month but ive got a good feeling bout next month for you.

Buddha-I cannot believe you are bored on maternity leave!! I am loving mine so much, theres not enough minutes in the day to cram everything in i want to get done. Im making the most of the rest of this week and all next week, as the week after DS is only in nursery 3 mornings a week, will be good to have him with me, but limit somewhat what i can and cannot do. He is a typical 'man' and hates shopping, unless he gets something out of it

Moon-will be lurking later to see if you have tested, everything crossed for you!

Neeko-Hope the 12.5 weeks go speedily by for you! Thanks for the hug for Thursday.

Sabs-Gold star for you and Saara for being so brave with your jabs.

Blue-I havent yet had look at your thread re names yet, but will have a nosy later.
Ive had to put my lovely clean pram back in the garage as no room in nursery, it looks like mamas and papas in there . Theres the cot bed, crib AND moses basket, car seat, baby rocker, rocking chair, nappy bin, and other bits of paraphanalia plus the wardrobe and chest of drawers. Ive got DH to lay a big piece of cardboard on the garage floor for my pram to stand on, then covered the pram completely with a clean dust sheet and a duvet cover, job done!

Its becoming a standing joke amongst my friends my sometimes extreme nesting urges. Im a clean and tidy person anyway, but have gone into overdrive!!
I had DH take off the mattress on our bed and upend the bed completely so i could scrub the skirting board behind the bed and hoover the floor thoroughly, he just thinks ive lost the plot .

Enjoy your day, catch you all later.

VJay · 18/11/2009 10:24

Morning,
bhudda ds1 is back to school today, fighting fit and raring to go

moon have you tested yet?

Right off to do housework, but will be lurking

BuddhaBellyBigPants · 18/11/2009 10:35

Annie You're just making me I wouldn't be bored if I could nest properly and clean etc, but all I can do is tiny little things and then rest, I can iron 5 things a day and then I'm in tears! It's pants!

cupcakefairy · 18/11/2009 12:13

Afternoon girlies..

Firstly 4ever, I know I've sent you about a million gushy texts already but just for the record- SOOOOO HAPPY FOR YOU AND DH!! I'm actually happier about your 12wk scan than my own! You deserve it so so much xxx

Moon we are all waiting with baited breath here...

Iggy I know everyone's said it...but honestly, each pregnancy is so different. I have felt really really different this time round- not as much nausea in the early weeks then loads between 8-12 wks and extreme hunger/thirst which I didn't have the last time. Please relax and just remember your body will do what it needs to.

Vjay Don't think I'm quite ready for big pants yet! seems so weird.. I think 16 wks is becoming the norm for joining the ranks now cos we're all chicken! I don't look in the least bit pregnant yet (apart from my ever-increasing boobs) so feel a bit of a fraud! Love the little list update though with the countdowns so many babies to come soon! Can't wait to see if we have boys or girlies.

Blue no words typed yesterday or today as beavering away in work (and went to see 2012 last night ) ...anyway, I am an old fashioned pen-writer and type up after.. only about 2000 words of book done, something tells me it may not get done before baby

kate thinking of you for scan today- make sure you pop by sharpish to let us know if we're expecting a niece or nephew!

Hi MLS hope your holiday was fab and better weather than here!

annie I love the nesting stories house will be all clean and sparkly for the new lo.

Hi bq hope you're feeling ok today

blue yay I'm gonna go check out your names thread.. dh and I haven't discussed it properly yet but there is one girl's name we're quite set on and we don't know any in RL. Can just bet someone we know will name their child that before ours is born though

Right, back to work before I get caught on here

iggypiggy · 18/11/2009 15:42

Thanks MLS Hope you had a good break x

annie that sounds like serious nesting!

buddha i like writing lists when I am bored - that or reading!

neeko you right - couldn't help but blame self if somethign goes wrong and I haven't made cahnges..

vjay glad you little ones are better!

cupcake I will try to chill - is not easy tho is it!

waves to all xxx

barbie1 · 18/11/2009 17:20
