At least gp is willing lia

Lifeistooshort · 06/10/2009 20:30

WW still nothing here. I hope the osteopath went well as you said broken pevlis and baby making/pregnancy are hardly a good mix!

Liahgen at least you still have some eggs...it only takes one good one

WickedWitchSouthWest · 06/10/2009 20:36

pink sorry you got the bfn...it's not over yet, fingers crossed it's a shy one!

lia ditto nymph, sounds like your gp is thinking similar lies to mine. When is your blood test booked for? Mine is 19th Oct. Good luck with the shagathon! Hope you catch a good one

lifeistooshort my bloody pelvis!! I have hypermobility and joints go out all the time but my pelvis really hurts when it goes. However, it was useful for childbirth lol. As it is the osteo doesn't think it makes too much difference - it went out when I was in the first 12 weeks with dd, then I helpfully fell down the stairs at 17 weeks, landed on my left hip and dinked it back in and we lived to tell the tale so I think us gro-bags and beanies are stronger than we think!

WickedWitchSouthWest · 06/10/2009 20:37

similar *lines. Sorry

Lifeistooshort · 06/10/2009 20:43

WW so do you have to have a water birth to alleviate strain on pelvis. Physio recommended water birth to me when I had SPD with DS? Hope the osteo works his magic!

WickedWitchSouthWest · 06/10/2009 20:50

no I had no time!! I had a slow first stage with dd (didn't notice tho, am so used to a bit of back ache) then from the first big contraction to holding her was 2 hrs 45 Had she been born on a weekday we wouldn't have made it to the hosp...It wasn't something I was too interested in or I may have paid more attention. As it happened though it was all fine and dandy.

Osteo is always good, shame it costs a blinking fortune

Lifeistooshort · 06/10/2009 20:53

OMG so ! 2h45mn My DD took 36!

WickedWitchSouthWest · 06/10/2009 20:57

sorry!! If it's any consolation my friend from antenatal still refers to me as "slack alice" it was all the yoga, I promise!

Lifeistooshort · 06/10/2009 21:01

Lifeistooshort makes a note to try yoga!

chalky3 · 06/10/2009 21:21

How is everyone today?

DH is thrilled with all this legs in the air nookie he's getting lately Day 16 today so will give it a couple more days of it before giving him a rest.
I don't even know if we're doing it at the right time with the mc, have no idea if my cycle is upside down r right side up at the moment.

xx

WickedWitchSouthWest · 07/10/2009 10:20

Hi Kaylo My dh is looking forward to the next round of non stop sex, bless. By day 5 he's moaning tho, and not in a good way!

Well I'm a bit confused...cm has gone very clear and am only cd12. Going to jump the old man tonight then start the every day business from Friday. Was wondering about the opk tho, according to my cycle I should start testing at cd14 but seeing as my cm is clear do you think I should start earlier?

floweringcurrant · 07/10/2009 10:27

Hi All,
Can I join you? would like some company for the dreaded 2 week wait!
floweringcurrant TTC #1 UCL 29, CD14

mabh · 07/10/2009 11:56

Hello floweringcurrant - love them, I have two myself!

Well I had a funny conversation with DH last night. Turns out that he had 'assumed' that I would get pregnant whilst we were on holiday, on my second week off the pill! He is quite miffed that I am not pregnant on the second month as he doesn't really get how everything can be in place and nothing happen! I explained about the egg being alive for 8 hours and all that, and now he doesn't really understand how the human population continues at all!

This is all a result over over-enthusiastic warnings from teachers - well we all had it - you know, 'one slip and you're pregnant' IF ONLY!!!!! MEN!!!!!

givecarrotsachance · 07/10/2009 12:12

Wicked - definately, I would. Especially if it's stretchy - stretchier the better I believe!!!! I'm a bit miffed that I thought mine was going that way but then it stopped

My stats keep getting mucked up. Much further up my stats are a day out. This is the correct list for today

Well turns out bloody day 19 is on a Sunday so gotta wait till next cycle Fingers crossed i won't need it

Good luck to anyone waiting these next few day. Tis ds1 birthday today, he's 12 so that'll take my mind off it for a bit, then we've got a wedding to go to Saturday so by the time next week comes along, I won't even have noticed.

Lifeistooshort · 07/10/2009 13:04

well I tested this morning...only to realise after I had done the deed that I was actually peeing on the cap! (see june friend for full numpty story) so now I have another day of non symptoms checking. I don't feel pregant but then I don't think like I am supposed to imminently have my period

welcome flowering current

WickedWitchSouthWest · 07/10/2009 13:09

lia no idea why your stats keep getting mucked up, v odd! Pain having to wait til day 19, my gp is just going to do it anyway on the monday and see what happens! Happy birthday your ds1 At least you will be kept busy for a few days - we're off to a wedding on Sunday too minus small person so really looking forward to it (but not the 5 hour drive to get there...)

lifeistooshort am having a lol at you peeing on the cap - good work!! So we all have to wait til tomorrow for news now!

welcome floweringcurrant

floweringcurrant · 07/10/2009 16:41

Thanks girls for 'taking me in'. .. I so want to be in with a chance this month .
Yesterday day (CD 13) I had a + on OPK so was so hoping for a passion filled evening last night etc. Which didnt happen AAAArgh.(I dont tell OH about fertile days etc as I've found it be a serious passion killer.) I then feel competely deflated when its just not one of those evenings.... like Ive missed my window. This then leads to me thinking at the not so tender age of 39 Im a dried up old husk. Anyway today OPK no longer + .. can anyone reassure me that if I get lucky tonight ( ha, ha) Im still in with a chance. ps managed it Monday

Kaylo · 07/10/2009 16:55

oops liaghen that would be my fault - must have pressed the wrong key my apologies, was trying to entertain ds at the same time! Happy Birthday to your ds.

welcom to floweringcurrent hope the 2ww goes as quickly as it can

lifeistooshort I've done that before, when I was testing with first pregnancy

Hope all is well with everyone xx

Lifeistooshort · 07/10/2009 17:08

liaghen happy birthday to your DS

floweringcurrent I would dish a copious amount of wine to get you in the mood (but not so much that either of you cannot perform). It is a good way to loose inhibitions/stop thinking of TTC (Disclaimer I do not advocate turning to the bottle on a recurrent basis or in anyway incite to alcoholism....can you tell I am a lawyer...can't stop myself)

floweringcurrant · 07/10/2009 17:26

Thanks lifeistooshort, for the lawyer talk. will follow and hope that havent missed it for this month. how are you feeling about testing tomorrow morning?

Hmm, cm not stretchy yet carrots! Will see what it's like tmrw and will start testing then I think. Don't want to miss it on the offchance I ov earlier than my usual cd16-18!

lifeistooshort red wine has magic properties I'm sure but obviously not too much when ttc apart from the fact dd was concieved in a haze of rose wine, pimms and champagne (we'd just bought our house hence many housewarming parties!) so hey ho
