Harrizeb · 07/06/2005 09:44

Morning,

Hope you are in good spirits this morning. Munz I can understand you wanting to stay busy - just be good to yourself. MM how you doing today?

Well I'm on CD 21 of a usual 28 day cycle and in such a dilemma this week, I really really want it to go so fast so I can find out if we've been sucessful and have a sprout - but also want it to go slowly so I can enjoy the build up to my DS 2nd birthday party/christening party on Sunday. AF is due week today so will have to wait and see - but being patient isn't working very well for me at the moment.

Think it shows in the enourmous amount of jobs I've got done round the house in the last couple of days, including filling a mini skip with garden rubbish, lining some curtains, planting half the garden centre in the garden and baking up a storm, much to the amusement of the neighbours as I turn up on their door step with cakes .

Right have to go and apply some of that nervous energy to a mountain of work to do at work as I was off with DS poorly yesterday.

Take care all and hope today treats you well
H x

can u get to the DR's for a stich or something?

spacecadet · 07/06/2005 10:36

ive only had one late m/c, so they wont put a stitch in until you have a couple of late ones, andas i have 4 children anyway they dont think, there isaprob as such, my m/c usually occur in between healthy pregs, they havent established a cuase yet for my recent m/c, they said the baby appeared healthy, my 12 week scan was fine.,

HandbagAddiction · 07/06/2005 13:02

Hi everyone and welcome to the newbies!

Having a bit of low day today. Dh pulled a big face last night when I told him we needed to do some bd'ing (on CD12 today) so I decided to have it out with him. Ok - so he feels under pressure to perform and says sex is driven now because 'I' want to get pregnant again...I think I exploded at this point and launched into a tirade about the fact that (1)actually he wants another baby too..so it's not all down to me, (2) he's obviously forgotten all his 'o' level biology as we don't get pregnant by bd'ing on cd5, so obviously there's going to be more pressure during certain times of the month, (3) how does he expect us to get pregnant if we don't have sex and (4) I'm keeping up my side of the deal with taking folic acid, cutting down on alcohol, etc. so it was about time he pulled his weight....and stopped having long soaks in hot baths - well it was 11pm at this point and I was getting beyond the point coherent thought!

Anyway - it has cleared the air and he has agreed to be a bit more understanding about the whole thing...but god, you would think I was asking him to chop off one of his 'nads' the way he reacted in general! So...no bd'ing last night. Will be on catch up tonight and then he's away....so I don't suspect I'll be doing any tests this month as my chances of a BFP are zero! Have even decided not to use my OPks as I'm not sure I want to know that I'm ov'ing when he's not around if you get my drift!

Blimey - that was a bit of a ramble....hope everyone else is OK though - Munz, Milosmum - hope you're both feeling better today and I'll catch up with everyone else again later......

LottieG · 07/06/2005 13:13

Hi Everyone! Do you mind if I lurk on this thread? I'd love another but still breastfeeding dd (13 months) and no sign of AF yet! Also distinct lack of BDing going on in this house...

Didn't want to lurk without introducing myself and wishing everyone good luck and babydust, and hope to be joining you in the near future

romilly · 07/06/2005 14:00

sorry to hear you are having man trouble handbag . it is par for the ttc course i'm afraid! it is so stressful that i think its inevitable that you have the odd fall-out and it always seems to be at those all important times

harrizeb - didnt mean to forget you! hope AF doesnt rear its ugly mean head

well i am in total limbo - BFNs and playing the waiting game......

romilly · 07/06/2005 14:06

hi lottie - good to have you back with us

romilly · 07/06/2005 14:07

oops sorry lottie G - i was thinking you were lottielou but maybe not????

LunarSea · 07/06/2005 14:12

Hi all
Can I join you?

My stats:

me 39
dh 41
ttc. #2
history:
ttc 18 months - m/c at 6 weeks
ttc 30 months - ds now 3 3/4
ttc 32 months - m/c at 11 weeks two weeks ago
cd - ???? you tell me! No idea as only 16 days post m/c

As you can see I'm likely to be around for a while! Am still trying to accept that there might never be a #2 given poor success rate at both ttc and hanging on to them. Unfortunately neither are apparently bad enough individually to get any investigations/intervention done, despite total combined effect of only one baby to show for nearly 7 years (so far) of trying.

HandbagAddiction - are you sure your dh isn't related to mine? I know how frustrating that is. I've lost count of the times that the opk has said "go" and then he has decided he's got other more pressing things to do, which usually mean staying away from home for exactly the vital few days. And the don't want to on that day because of the pressure thing sounds familiar too. I did learn eventually that the best thing is to just not mention it - they don't seem to cotton on to even approximately where you are in a cycle if you don't explicitly say so!

milosmum · 07/06/2005 14:26

hi all- and welcome to the newbies...

feel much better today (stilla little sad) but i ve decided my DS deserves more than a mother crying on the sofa!!!!at least i have him. i think the man upstairs may have something greater planned for me.... maybe my DS is to be a famous rock star or football player and therefore i have to devote all my time to him!!!- ha as if.....

Just looking forward to my hols next week and will look at starting ttc again after that!

thanks for all you kind wishes, its lovely to know you are all concerned!

love to munz!

Harrizeb · 07/06/2005 14:26

Hi Handbag - sorry DH isn't being as supportive as he could be - sounds like he's back on the right track for the next few days though. {{hugs}}

Hi Romilly thanks for the best wishes, have my fingers crossed too, bit up and down about if I feel I am or not - but then as I didnt know until 9 weeks last time I have nothing to go on just plenty of imagined symptoms. Fingers crossed for you too, I hope we can help pass the limbo land time for you on here Is the sun shining where you are today?

MRSflamesparrow · 07/06/2005 16:51

My DH is a big meanie.

Wedding, coming off the pill, and TTC have sent my sex drive through the roof, and you'd think he'd been keen on me showing interest...

After a week of non-stop jumping on him, he's telling me he's tired and that he needs a break

Bloody rude if you ask me....

He can have another night off tonight I think, and then I'm not sure I'll manage any longer... sod all to do with wanting babies now, I just want rudeness!!!

george32 · 07/06/2005 16:54

Congratulations Spacecadet, what a fantastic way to start off the new thread.
I hope it is a good omen for everyone else too.
Rom, sorry about your BFN, but it's not over til AF appears & these tests can be sneaky!!
Wendy, glad you are taking it easy. I hope there is lots of burrowing going on inside you!!
LunarSea, wishing you the best of luck with your TTC. {{{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}}

Hi all, thanks for all the welcomes

Flame, glad I could help by being even newer at this than you! Although after four days I'm starting to feel like a veteran

Anyway, wanted to chime in and say what's with all the men who won't do what they're supposed to? You spend years fighting them off and then the one night when you really want to, they freak out and tell you they're "tired". Hmmph. I won't take no for an answer tonight though since I think I might be ov'ing (extremely late for some reason but the signs are there). Wish me luck

Hope everyone's ok xxxx

wendy11 · 07/06/2005 18:17

Hello everyone,

Welcome to all the new folk. Hope you stay is a really short one

Rom - willing af to stay away for you and that you will get the result you want in the next few days

Munz/Milosmum - How are you both doing? Still thinking about you

I am still just resting and pottering about. Got so fed up today I ended up reading my mums People's Friend although did find something of interest for any Green & Black's chocolate lovers. Apparemtly they have a receipe book which you can order for £12.99 by e-mailing [email protected] and quote reference PF/GAB. I am a sucker for receipe books so will probably order it, look at it with good intentions and then out it in the bookcase

Have a lovely evening everyone and I will catch up with you all tomorrow.
