Oh my god, things are really hotting up on here this weekend!
Sevans - any news? any news?!
Emsie - you know you're going to have to keep on testing now. And where there is no AF there is HOPE!

I'm starting the second week of the 2WW, so already getting the urge to test, especially reading about you guys.
Kkas - this will be me and you this time next week!!!

rollerbaby · 15/11/2009 12:41

Hi girls

Gosh I leave you alone for 5 minutes, and look what happens! Emsie and Sevans how EXCITING! Staying tuned for the next installment.

My first cycle AF behind me now, I am feeling much more positive. I really have been a gloomy old cow for the last 2 weeks. My poor DP. Feeling positive that everything was more or less working and on time after coming off pill so stands to reason we have a good chance this month I hope. And the other good thing (not sure if anyone else has had this) is that my libido seems to have shot up! Didn't really realise that the pill had such an effect!

Hey ho, sunny day to off to tramp around on the common with my lovely hubbie.

sevans · 15/11/2009 14:47

Tested this morning with First Response and got a BFP within seconds. No faint line either like the dollar store cheapies that have been confusing me all week. I am still going to have the blood work done tomorrow and hopefully it will confirm my BFP. I was sooooooo surprised, omg, I still am! emsie, your faint line sounds good since it was within the time frame. Maybe try a different brand test and test tomorrow morning. Good luck!!!

Calyx · 15/11/2009 14:58

Sevans ooooohhhhh myyyyyyy gawwwwwd that's AMAZING!! Yipppeeeeee! I'm really excited for you congratulations! xxx

EmsieRo now go and get a First Response, a line on the cheapie after only six minutes sounds really really hopeful, fingers are crossed!

I'm off to hang out with my sis and my DN, have a lovely rest of weekend all!

pixiestix · 15/11/2009 14:59

I'm so happy for you Sevans!!!!!!!!

pixiestix · 15/11/2009 15:02

Oh and as an aside I've been lurking on the ante-natal threads becasue i am deeply sad jealous, and noticed that TishTosh21 got a BFP as well - so she can be taken off the bottom of our list.
The babydust is flying about this month!

Wow wow wow!!! Fantastic news Sevans - congratulations

And Emsie I wonder how long you'll hold out from testing

Well, I'm beginning to feel much more like myself again and am thinking about starting up the TTC next month

CurlyCasper · 15/11/2009 21:09

Just wanted to say massive congrats to sevans!!!!!!

Looking good ems claire glad things are getting on a good track

bunnygirl80 · 15/11/2009 21:27

Hello...do you mind if I join you? I'm only on cycle 2 of TTC so it's early days but it'd be nice to have some nice people to chat to.

DH is currently on the other side of the world (we're in the middle of relocating) and I won't see him again till cd14 so he's been informed that I'll be jumping him as soon as I get off the plane!! Not that hopeful that this will be our month though.

Sevans congrats on your BFP
Emsie good luck with testing again

claireinthecommunity · 16/11/2009 00:21

Hello and welcome bunnygirl80 you are very welcome! Where are you relocating from - to? [nosey emoticon]

I've really been hit with he broody stick the last couple of days - friends having babies; friends sisters having babies; posters on here finding out they're PG and my own biological clock ticking (I'm going to be 34 next birthday!) Roll on next month

claireinthecommunity · 16/11/2009 00:24

(the broody stick)

Ozziegirly · 16/11/2009 01:05

sevans that is WONDERFUL news, I am so thrilled for you - and Emsie I am pretty sure it will be a positive for you too!

Well I am on CD28 now, no sign of AF yet, but my cycles have been 30 days long before.

I am holding out testing until Thursday I think as 30 is the very longest a cycle has been! I don't feel PG, but equally I don't feel really pre menstrual either.

WhiteRoses · 16/11/2009 07:57

Hello everybody''

I've had a pretty busy Thusday-Sunday so have a lot of catching up to do on here... Going to make my way through all the posts I've missed!

Curly - hope the rash is clearing up nicely. Are you feeling pregnant yet?!

Kkas - hope you're coping alright with the 2ww... Good to know you got the timings right this month anyway... Fingers crossed!

Hamster - I'm still trying to learn what all the abbreviations stand for myself! How are things going with you anyway? Still no sign of AF? [Hopefulsmiley]

Emsie - I've heard some people say that AF was well overdue before they got their BFPs - it's not over till AF arrives! Have you tried First Response as opposed to Clearblue? How sensitve are Clearblue?

Addie - Really sorry to hear about AF... I don't really know how often we should all be having sex... They say once is all it takes - yeh right! We aim for every day if we can, but failing that, at least every two days. But then it's not really done us that much good, has it?! So who knows? And we have been feeling a bit sleep deprived lately, which doesn't improve your chances...

Ozzie - had no idea how many lawyers there were on the thread!

So, out of interest, what do the rest of you do? I'm still at uni, training to be a teacher but I also work with young adults with autism.

Calyx - hadn't realised you got married in August. I got married in July. Also "tiny and quiet" but soooo perfect... Still a bit sad it's all over forever... So how many people were at your wedding then? I'm terrible, getting side-tracked but I think weddings and babies are currently my two favourite topics to obsess think about! Agree about how nice it is to have others in the same boat... It does take your mind off yourself quite a lot. Aww... Just read your post about AF! I was thinking you were a sure thing, going so late, too. Oh well, at least you know now anyway. Hope you've had a good weekend and didn't spend more time with the hoover than with your book!

Spireal - do you reckon the zinc really made a difference to your DH?

Fulham - a week today - here's hoping it flies by for you!

I love how those with BFPs are still popping in. It's really nice to be kept updated.

Chalky - how's it going now? Still no AF or BFP? Agree that that's totally the worst possible stage to be at! Very frustrating!

Kkas - the migraine sounds horrible but here's hoping it's a good sign...

Emsie - wasn't it Curly who said she got a faint line, out of the time frame, just before she got her BFP? Yours sounds pretty hopeful!

Blueberry - last month was our first month of TTC and AF arrived very weirdly, with lots of random spotting for a couple of days beforehand - really got my hopes up because it's never happened that way before. So I dunno... No mid-cycle bleeding though... I have this mad vision of our bodies getting their own back... "Haha - I'm going to confuse you as much as I possibly can! Some spotting - that's for all the hangovers you've given me! Some cramps - that's for not eating enough fruit and vegetables! Irregular cycles - they're revenge for the hideous clothes you made me wear as a teenager!" ...I need to get out more!

Sevans - held off replying to your posts till I'd read them all. Yay!!! What a time you had! You must've been going mad but who cares now?! Got the BF you were after! Bet you're over the moon! Congratulations!

Come on now, Emsie - your turn! Your faint lines both sound so promising!

Claire - great to hear you're feeling better! I'm dying for you to start trying again, actually, cause you're closest to me in terms of your cycle and I want the company! But whether you start up again or not, it's great to hear you're feeling better.

Hi Bunny - If you let us know yous stats we can add your name to the list. I'm only on cycle 2 as well but thankfully not in the process of moving to another country! Sounds a busy old time for you! Best of luck anyway.

Update on myself; still not sure about whether I'm about to ovulate or have already done so, or what. So BDing every chance we get. And thankfully it's not really a problem like it was last month, when it was seeming like a real chore. (Having said that, neither of us was in the best of health last month so that can't have helped!) On Sunday, DH saw some OPKs reduced to clear in Boots - pack of 5 for £2.50 - and he bought them for me. (So romantic!) Really don't think there's much point in using them this month though - already on CD16. But maybe next month it'll give us a clearer idea. This month I've been all over the place with CM (but not EWCM) and cramps... Very frustrating! Anyway, the list...

morning all - thanks for all the well wishes. migraine is gone now thank heavens! although i was a little upset over the weekend because FF has shifted my ov date to Thursday. Seeing as we only got the one BD sesh in on Monday, I am much less hopeful for this month. But personally I still think I ov on Monday, so I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

pixie when do you plan on testing? I really should hold out til Monday next week.... but might get a sneaky one in over the weekend!

sevans congrats! so happy for you!

WhiteRoses · 16/11/2009 10:44

Hi Kkas, glad you're feeling better.

Just been looking at the list of cycles... Aside from Chalky, Emsie and Ozzie, I see Vix and CJ are at that time too... Anyone know how they're getting on?

I was fine this morning but this is the first day off work I've had since Wednesday so I've now had a chance to examine my dates and am starting to drive myself insane! I've managed to work out that if I was on a short cycle this month, I could start testing on Wednesday. Having said that, if it's a long cycle, I mightn't even ovulate until a week on Thursday! Arrrgh! Here we go again! [fedupsmiley]

chalky3 · 16/11/2009 14:07

Congratulations Sevans !

Good luck Emsie , get yourself a good test ASAP!

AF finally arrived for me yesterday after a 40 day cycle. Not sure why it's getting longer each time but it may be something to do with being on the pill for years. The up side is less AFs, no one likes them, whether they're TTC or not! The downside is less chances to TTC. I'm sure things will settle down in time.

I think maybe the best plan is to relax and go with the flow (pardon the pun!) I was torturing myself last week with HPT BFN results and wondering where AF is. DH keeps reminding me that it might take a while and not to worry until we've been TTC for a year. It's easier said than done though!

Hi ladies! Thanks so much for the congratulations! I am still somewhat in disbelief. I am going today to do my blood work and hopefully that will also come back positive. I will find out those results tomorrow.

Chalky, I'm sorry AF hit you this month. Spoil yourself these next few days with lots of chocolate and wine!

Any news emsie?

ozzie, it's looking good for you too! I never really felt pregnant before I found out so don't worry about that.

Claire, still thinking about starting up again? That would be wonderful! Maybe the time off helped relax you and this next month will be it!

I'm looking at the list and there are a lot near the end of cycles. Bring on more BFPs this month!!!

Spirael · 16/11/2009 14:52

Gosh a lot of things have happened in the last few days. Hello and welcome to everyone new! And, of course, congratulations to Sevans!

I'm not sure how much difference the Zinc made, WhiteRoses, but my feeling was that it wasn't going to hurt my DH to take the tablets and there was a chance it might help - even if it was only a little bit.

It also meant we felt like we were actually doing something to try and improve our chances and give us a bit more control over the situation, because otherwise I found it was leaving me quite frustrated that I was basically powerless. If I could, I'd want to shove egg and sperm together and jam them where they needed to be with superglue!!

claireinthecommunity · 16/11/2009 16:18

Thanks everyone - it's good to be back (not that I went away as such - but YKWIM )

WhiteRoses · 16/11/2009 19:45

Aww Chalky, sorry to hear you AF got you in the end. Still, you can relax for now and let your hair down a bit.

Spireal - haha! My dad and my DH are always teaming up to slag me for using Superglue to solve almost any problem - but even I never thought of that! (Do you think it'd work?! )

Incidently, has anyone told people in real life that they're trying to conceive?

sevans · 16/11/2009 20:07

Whiteroses, I have told people we are TTC. I really wish I hadn't but I had trouble keeping something so exciting to myself. I actually think quite a few people know because I'm thinking the people I told told others as well. I only told a few people (mother and two friends) about the faint lines I was getting on the cheapie tests but have told no one about the BFP from the First Response test on Sunday. I want to get the blood test results back first and then I may tell my mother. I kind of want to wait until the first ultrasound before telling people but we will see how that goes. Have you told anyone?
