Hi emsie and welcome.

First of all, your stats please? We need to know how many cycles you have been trying for a baby for, your usual cycle length (UCL 28 days or whatever) , and which day of your cycle you are on (CD1 being first day of your last period).

TTC#1 Cycle? UCL? CD?

Then we can get you on the list!
(we are all TTC#1 being the first timers on MN!)

acronyms are here

That's enough to get started!

CC

CurlyCasper · 09/11/2009 17:07

ems we have very close stats! I think I'll have a 28-day cycle this month, so just a day behind you. As kkas says, it might be too early for your HCG levels to give a BFP. It's not over tide your period arrives...

Have you been actively trying at the right times or just seeing what happens?

addie81 · 09/11/2009 18:39

Me too - period due either tomorrow or Wednesday. Tested today, but was negative. My gut feeling is that it is not going to happen this month! Oh well, here we go again......!

CurlyCasper · 09/11/2009 19:10

I meant till, not tide above, of course!

Think I spoke too soon - signs of imminent AF mean I probably won't even get si far as testing. Our hopes pass to addie and emsie... oh and immat.

addie81 · 09/11/2009 19:19

Don't despair CC, maybe november will be the lucky month for both of us! Starting to feel imminent signs myself!

WhiteRoses · 09/11/2009 20:00

Kkas - unfortunately, I was only on days 7 and 8 at the weekend so the BDing was probably pretty pointless. However, no point taking chances. As I say, I'm very irregular!

Vix - welcome and good luck!

Curly - here's hoping you're wrong about AF! But great news about the blood tests either way.

Sevans - GOOD LUCK!

Emsie - hi, nice to meet you. How come you're deciding to test tomorrow night? Isn't first morning urine supposed to be best? Good luck anyway!

Addie - hoping you're wrong about AF too.

Good luck all!

sevans · 09/11/2009 20:13

curly - me too, me too! I need all the hope I can get! I'm happy to hear that your blood tests came back fine!

Good luck to everyone testing soon and stay away AF!!!

rollerbaby · 09/11/2009 22:43

Hello gang.

Good luck to you all in the 2ww! I;m only i cycle two and I was an utter nightmare... kept 'popping' into boots every other day to stock up in clearblue sticks. I don't know how people have the willpower to wait!

Anyway today's little purchase was a fertility digital thermometer. Amusing, as it took me a lot of loud talking to get the woman to understand it was a FERTILITY thermometer I needed and not a kids one. I kept expecting someone from work to be standing behind me...

So I think my DH is now probably rolling his eyes ad thinking here we go... That said, he keeps asking when we will have little bear cubs (he is very sweet) so he'd better get used to it!!

Start watching Flash Forward on Five to keep your mind off testing girls. It's brillian and Jack DAvenport v v hot.

Night.

Ozziegirly · 10/11/2009 01:01

Welcome newbies, always nice to have more faces on here.

Nothing from me. Just trying to stay cool in the 39 degree heatwave we are having here, and waiting until the weekend to test.

Still early days, only CD22 for me - no symptoms at all (again!). If no AF I will probably test on Sunday.

It's my birthday on Monday so don't want to test then and get a BFN. If I get one on Sunday I will have a day to cheer up!

aly323 · 10/11/2009 04:37

Hello ladies! It seems that a bunch of us have managed to get ourselves on the same schedule. There have to be at least a couple BFPs with the number of us testing over the next week or so.

I ov'd late this month, so I'm due for af sometime between Thursday and Monday. I've been tired and emotional, but I think it's because I'm up to my nose in a trial right now. That mixed with the obsessing has managed to wear me out. I had a nice temp spike today, but expect it to drop back down tomorrow (I had one last month a few days before af). So... no real symptoms to speak of and I don't feel pregnant. I'll probably start testing on Wednesday.

Losta baby luck to everyone!!!

Morning everyone

This is just a quick post from me, have updated the list but got side tracked in the middle of it, so apologies if anyone is wrong

Haven't got time for a full post but just wanted to pop my head in. Felt sick this morning but it is far too early for symptoms as if I am on a long cycle I only ovulated yesterday! Still in bonkathon mode for me at moment.

Will come back later for a proper catch up but did just want to say sorry for anyone who has got af

Hi,

No real news from me today, just checking in to see what's going on with everyone else... Having said that, I have some weird (AF type) cramps, so ovulation may be imminent... CD10... Who knows?! If only they'd hurry up and invent that little screen!

Emsie - I see... Well here's hoping for no AF this morning then!

Hope AF stays away from everyone else for another day too!

Sorry Zippy! Two mornings in a row now that I've posted the list at the same time as someone else! Sorry you're feeling sick. You seem to be as irregular as me... Do you not use the ovulation predictor tests either?

ImmaterialGirl · 10/11/2009 09:41

Morning all!

Whoa, so many newbies! A warm welcome to everyone

Just wanted to pop my head in as well and say hi -not that much to tell. Coming up for testing in a few days, don't have much in terms of symptoms, but not many AF symptoms either for that matter...
Think I'm going to hold out until the end of the week and test if no AF by say Friday.

Sorry for those of you starting a new cycle

Looks like there is going to be a lot of testing action over the next week though! The very best of luck to everyone!!

Hope everyone have a nice day!

Just been reading the "Ridiculous things you've said to your kids" thread in the Parenting forum and it gave me a laugh... Anyone in need of cheering up might like a look!

kkas · 10/11/2009 10:19

morning all

dragged DH to a work do last night at a private viewing of a photography exhibition. later BD fuelled by champagne and canapes was just what we needed after 10 days with the in-laws and my temp shot up this morning and i think may have felt some telling twinges in my right side last night, so i am very very hopeful now! will have to wait over the next few days to see whether temp stays raised to really know whether i ov. bring on the TWW!

pixiestix · 10/11/2009 11:41

Wow, so much to catch up on!

Big congrats Spirael

Well done kkas - I will be keeping an eye on you seeing as we are on the same cycle day.

Nothing happening with me, I am firmly in the 2WW I think.

Hello Newbies!! I have read the bits of thread I missed and still can't remember who everyone is! Off for another read through!

addie81 · 10/11/2009 20:37

My body is playing tricks on me! My period is late, which never ever happens, but BFNs on all tests. Aarrggghh!

CurlyCasper · 10/11/2009 20:45

sorry sevans wasn't thinking straight in the midst of my grump! Any news?

My period still hasn't actually shown up but my belly really hurts

curly, addie, emsie....Still looking good that your periods haven't arrived!! Mine hasn't either! I did a test this morning and got a BFN. I think I am going to try and hold out until Friday if AF doesn't arrive before then. I have two cheapie tests left. Looks like immaterial will soon be joining us on the testing! Good luck!!

My temps are still up. I suppose the morning I wake up and they are down I should expect a visit from AF that day. Each morning while I am taking my temp, I am wishing/hoping/praying that it keeps going up and up and up!
