First off, Congratulations Fulham!!! So much change all at once, it's going to be an amazing, wonderful whirlwind!
Spooky keep us updated. Until af shows, there is hope. Any symptoms?
PrincessC Welcome to the insanity!I'm not all that fimiliar with coming off the implant since I went straight to the pill when I had mine removed years ago. If you wanted something to do to keep yourself occupied, you could start temping or use cheap opk's to see if anything happens. Maybe someone else has more info.
honeymoo, yes I've been temping. I 'm actually a HUGE fan of temping. I was religious about it the first month, but now find that in my case it's really most important to just follow around ov and af time. I know where my temps usually are so can just check to see if they're up (around 98.6 after ov) or regular (97.7). If I didn't chart, I would have really, really thought I was pregnant last month and would have missed my chance when I actually did ov on cd40 (not to mention how sad I would have been after getting my hopes up). I also use opk's from the internet which work well for me. This way, since I know I didn't Ov on time, I'll keep poas until the lines come. I use very cheap opk's!!
We've only been officially trying for three cycles, but I came off the pill in May. My first three cycles were 30 days and I ov'd perfectly. I felt so lucky and positive. Now, I'm on 50 day cycles. I'm still positive, especially since I know I Ov and that my hormones are fine, but it's frustrating and disappointing to now have things out of whack. Hopefully it's just been bad luck with the stress and stupid cold and I'll get back on track next month. I also know that 3 cycles isn't long but, I'm very Veruca Salt - I want it NOW!!!
I'm in the US and go to an HMO, so they consider anything outside of your main doctor a "specialist." I'm just going to see an ob/gyn who specializes in fertility. Since I'm 35 almost 36, and now officially "irregular," I can get sent quicker. My regular gyn gave me blood tests (all good) last month and gave me the referral. For me, I would rather go and hear that everything is good and that I visited the specialist too early, than to find out that I could have spotted something and fixed it earlier. But, I'm also able to do this since I have decent insurance- I figure that I may as well use it since I have it!!
Wow. My posts have gotten very long lately. Guess that's because I have a humongous pile of actual work that needs to be done for my trial. What do you want to bet my house gets cleaned today, too. I'm such a good procrastinator...
