Ozziegirly · 18/10/2009 23:38

Well I had some light spotting this morning so I may be out of the race this month - but I'm only CD26. Would make this last cycle the shortest ever.

If this is AF it is annoying as I was nice and clockwork for the first 4 months, but last cycle was 30, and now down to 25?? Grrr.

But then on the way to work I wondered if it could be implantation bleeding as normally I have AF aches before it arrives, but nothing this month.

I"ll let you know what happens later, but given that I have no symptoms I think it's probably just a rogue cycle.

At least it will mean I can get on with it next month.

bluesnowfalcon · 19/10/2009 06:53

Good luck ozzie I had no symptoms either and spotted for 4days at time AF should have been here! Now about 5weeks pg

Ozziegirly · 19/10/2009 08:32

Well the morning spotting didn't turn into AF properly, so I think I'll still say I'm on CD26.

Will keep fingers crossed - pretty convinced it's not my month, but if AF hasn't arrived by Fri I will test then!

Ozziegirly · 19/10/2009 08:33

Oo, I like the halloween smileys.

kkas · 19/10/2009 11:57

Just updating the list. Hope I got it right as we haven't updated it since Saturday!

fingers crossed ozzie!

Thanks kkas - is right for me at any rate! Hmmm, seeing CD24 wants to make me go and buy a test, must hold off til Friday, must hold off til Friday!!!

zippys · 19/10/2009 12:54

Hi everyone,

Ooh, there are quite a few people coming up to testing!! Lets hope that October is a lucky month and there a few more BFP's.

Well I think I have ruined my chances this month, the EWCM made me think I had ovulated early so did the deed loads around then but based on iphone app it was last week but my libido went for a nose dive so think we had sex 2 days before ovulation but not again until 2 days after!!

Have been feeling off colour over the weekend but my dp is ill anyway so I may just be getting that Have no idea when to test so will just have to leave it for a couple of weeks and see what happens!!

Ozzie try not to get disheartened if blue had spotting before it may be a good thing

Ladyemmalou83 · 19/10/2009 20:17

Hiya
Just thought I would pop and say hi. Doc confirmed there is a little bean in me, but is looking at sending me for an early scan due to our past losses. Hope your all ok, missing you all x

Ozziegirly · 19/10/2009 23:43

CD1

AGAIN.

Goddamn it.

And why have my cycles suddenly started going from 30 days to 26?

FFS.

I suppose the good thing is that I can now start looking forward to the next fertile time which has come round sooner due to this short cycle.

ladyemma that's great news - keep us updated as to how everything goes xx

aly323 · 20/10/2009 03:20

Just quickly checking in. Sorry AF got you Ozzie. It sucks. It will happen for you.

Zippys, I haven't seen the Iphone app, but I would trust your body and drive over the app. Most likely, you were right the first time and were right in your timing.

Good luck to all! Looks like there will be some testing soon. I'm hoping for BFP's for everyone!!! I'm off to make a baby (or at least to try really, really hard).

Ozziegirly · 20/10/2009 06:36

I'm just getting bored of the monthly disappointment of the whole thing.

I wish I hadn't spent so many bloody years on the pill when we have been shagging EXACTLY when I am supposed to be fertile and nothing has happened.

I feel quite down about it, but I know it's because this was the last month where I could be pregnant at 31, as my birthday is in 4 weeks.

Daft, but it seems like yet another unwanted milestone.

Question is - gym to try to rid myself of period pains, or chocolate on sofa and magazine and allow me to feel sorry for myself?

bluesnowfalcon · 20/10/2009 07:00

ozzie sorry AF got you. It really sucks Think if it was me it would be a couple of painkillers and chocolate and magazine on the sofa for a while! Hope you have an ok day

zippys · 20/10/2009 08:04

Ozzie so sorry to hear af got you. I would go for sofa option for the first day and then the gym when you feel a bit better. I know what you mean about the monthly disappointment, I never thought it would be such a rollercoaster

Ladyem thats brilliant news, I am so happy for you. Hopefully the scan will ease any worries you have. Do keep popping in and updating us

aly thanks for the advice, I think part of me is already looking for this month failing to protect myself when it does! I do have really sore boobs though and have had for a while so you never know. Going to try to hold out till 30th before I test but I dont think I will!! Hope you enjoyed your baby making

Anyone else getting near to testing? Good luck if you are.

ozzie so sorry to hear about AF. take some time off today and treat yourself.

lady thanks for your update. keep 'em coming as it does help to know that good news can happen!

not much to report here, other than it should be bd-mania around our house this week and i couldn't feel less enthusiastic about it. after yet another bd fail on sunday morning, i have promised dh not to iniate the bd's anymore. he just seems to have totally lost his confidence despite all the 'help' that i try to give. it's never going to happen for us if this carries on....

claireinthecommunity · 20/10/2009 11:06

Sorry, just another very quick post from me. Things are quite busy for me at the moment but I have been reading and keeping up with all your news!

Ladyemma thats great news

Ozzie sorry to hear about you getting AF, I'd definitely go for the sofa and chocolate option - with a dash of red wine

Hello to everyone else

spookypixiebroomstix · 20/10/2009 11:31

Oh Ozzie I'm so sorry AF got you. It really does suck, doesnt it. I can't believe that I pumped all those hormones into my body for a decade trying not to get pregnant and it seems like it was all for nothing! I tell you, I'm never going back on the pill once I've finally managed to have a LO. I will just avoid peak ovulation times and go for it the rest of the month!!

Well I am showing all the classic sypmtoms of AF arriving imminently - lots of spots and permanently wanting to kill DH even when he is being lovely
But then just as I had convinced myself that there was no chance this month I started feeling oddly sick this morning. Now I am obsessing about what it might "mean" when it probably just means I need some more breakfast or something unrelated to pg!

Roll on Friday so I at least know one way or the other.

Muser · 20/10/2009 13:43

Morning everyone. Sorry to hear this isn't the month for you Ozzie. Fingers crossed for next month.

I'm not sure it'll be the month for us either. I don't think I've OVed this month. Normally I show signs and this month they don't seem to have appeared. Added to the fact we didn't manage much bding over the end of last week when I should have been fertile it doesn't look good. And now we both have stinking colds so some last minute nookie on day 16 is not looking likely!

Ah well, 2 ww time.

ImmaterialGirl · 20/10/2009 19:58

Ozzie I'm so sorry
It sucks sometimes. It hit me pretty bad this time actually, which is why I've not been around much this week.

Will be back properly soon.

OP posts:
chico193 · 20/10/2009 22:35

Hi everyone. I'm still waiting...
Have had a few cramps in the last couple of days and boobs are still quite sore a lot of the time. Absolutely shattered and needing the toilet more often but that could all be symptom spotting and perfectly normal things that mean nothing. Wanting to test but will wait until we get back from going away at the weekend.

Ozziegirly · 20/10/2009 23:48

Thanks everyone - it's nice to be able to post on here.

Feel more positive today. I did go to the gym last night and then walked home and was exhausted, which meant I had one of those lovely night's sleeps where you just lay in one position for 8 hours. So feel well rested and good today.

Ready to get back on the horse next week (so to speak).

I also found out a close friend of mine, who I didn't know was trying, has actually been trying for well over a year, so we had a nice good chat as well.

zippys · 21/10/2009 08:24

CD1 for me today

Have no idea whats going on with my body, last months 39 day cycle now 28 days! At least it means I did ovulate when I though I had but that is very little consolation right now.

sorry for the short post just feeling really really down right now

CurlyCasper · 21/10/2009 08:47

Sorry oz and zip. I now what you mean about annoying cycle length. I've gone 34, 28, 38, 26 - It makes working things out so much more difficult.

Pretty busy with work and stuff at the mo. Sure I'll be here more when it comes to the 2ww. Take care all x

Muser · 21/10/2009 09:12

We'll get there gang. I'm playing the waiting game. After last week's "I feel pregnant" I'm feeling nothing now. Except full of cold. Bleurgh.

kkas · 21/10/2009 09:16

zip sorry to hear about AF. we're here if you need a good cry. I've updated you on the list, but wasn't sure what to put for your UCL. Feel free to update again!

well FF is saying I ov'd already (day 11), but if we go by my past 2 cycles, it is more likely to be either today or still to come. I did have 3 higher temps in a row, but still keep thinking there are likely to be higher ones to come. does anyone know whether it is likely that the ov cross lines will shift if i get even higher temps over the next few days, or is the first pinpointed day usually accurate?

i am actually hoping i have ov bc despite our difficulties on Day 11, we did have quite a good bd on Day 9, so there may still be a chance for me this month, even if we do give it a break for the rest of the month to let DH get his confidence back. everyone keep their fingers crossed please!!!
