Welcome back Bluesnow! It's good to see you again. Was almost starting to worry...

ladyem tricky one. FertilityFriend changed my ovulation date this month after two days of even further elevated temps, so it can be a bit confusing. As for your questions, my take on it would be:

1, It depends on how long you've been temping, how well you know yourself, and how accurately you know you took your temps. You can apparently however get EWCM up to three days before actual ov, and again throughout the cycle....

2, Even if you only shagged up until Tues, you should be fine for Thurs if there was EWCM (and apparently more likely to conceive a girl).

3, If you ov'd on last Thurs, then it's definitely too early to get a bfp, yes.

4, Nope, this is the right time for implantation.

5, Hmm, I guess because you're looking out for the signs? They say it feels like that whether your pg or not sometimes, so I don't think that's relevant until she actually shows ut!

Hope everyone has a good weekend!

Thanks for your thoughts girlies. Ive only just starting using FF, and it has suggested based on my average cycle length that I ovulated on the thurs. Im rubbish with the temps because the time I get up one day differs from the next, so have just been imputting the CM and factors such as cramps, drinking etc.

Is it really bad that I have just watched last nights episode of Eastenders in tears? Admitidly I have been up since 3am for work so rather emotionally tired, but it was so sad, wasnt it?

Sevans- Congratulations on finally making it to the bottom of the list! I'm glad she finally came to visit. Now, hopefully the clomid will work wonders and you can bid her farewell again for at least 9 more months!! I hope you're feeling well. My long cycle only hit 50 days. I was expecting a very bad af, but it wasn't too bad. I'm hoping the same is true for you.

Ozziegirly · 11/10/2009 00:27

sevans that's great news, good luck with clomid as well.

No news from me, just settling into the TWW now.

On other news, we have been looking for a house to buy and have seen lots of " meh" places. Yesterday we saw the actual house of our dreams. It was almost slightly freaky as it is so similar to what we have talked about and described when we talk of our perfect house.

So now we are in that scary phase where we need to get a mortgage sorted out and start making offers. It may go too expensive for us but I am crossing everything that it doesn't.

I said to DH "and could you imagine our little children running around in the garden?" and he said "yes, I really could".

I nearly cried.

Ladyemmalou83 · 11/10/2009 06:51

ahhhh bless DH, thats really sweet. Its lovely when they make comments like that. Dh has taken the Computer out of our spare room, as he wants to make sure it can easily be transformed into a nursery as when and when it all happens for us. Was quite surprised he was thinking that far ahead.

Sevens Fingers crossed the colmid does the job.

Oooh, getting slightly teary at the thought of Ozziegirly and Mr Ozziegirly having a parental moment in their (hopefully soon to be) new house. That's so sweet.

I think my CDs started going backwards a few days ago, so teh list has got me a couple of days behind schedule. Just so I don't get myself confused, here's today's list again:

Ladyemmalou83 · 11/10/2009 12:58

Apologies York if that was my error. Was sat doing the update at work in some downtime and had been there since 3am, so I was possibly seeing double.

Im all a quiver at the moment. Having just arrived home I went for a lady wee and noticed Im spotting. I have never spotted before, so am rather puzzled by it. Trying desperatly hard to not read into it too much, but this close to AF due date and having tender boobs for the 1st time too, its becoming a bit hard. I do worry sometime that I want to be pregnant so much that I am imagining it (possibly boobs are sore from prodding them?

Hope everyone is having an enjoyable weekend so far

pixiestix · 11/10/2009 16:00

Sevans - Hooray!! Thats fantastic. Am crossing everything that the Clomid works for you

Ladyem - sounds like it could be implantation bleeding at this stage of the month so the spotting could be really good news??

Ozzie - Ahh, that story made me a bit teary!!

Kkas Sorry AF got you , hope you have managed to eat lots of chocolate over the weekend

Things are back on track with DH and me - spent lots of time with my legs in the air over the weekend , now just have to wait and see!!

bluesnowfalcon · 11/10/2009 16:02

Ladyem I know what you mean I was up in the night twice for a wee and I'm never up then starting thinking and now think it was probably the cup of tea I had before bed! Two days to AF in thoery so I'm there with you!

Good luck and I hope we both get BFP's!

chico193 · 11/10/2009 16:22

Can I join?
I'm on cycle 4 of TTC #1, currently CD 23 and think I OV'ed either yesterday or today (I have an average 36 day cycle). So now on 2ww and trying not to get too overexcited

Stellybelly · 11/10/2009 17:34

Hello ladies, can I join this thread?

I'm very new to all of this and still trying to get into the lingo. We are TTC no 1, month 1 and CD 7. Just getting husband into the swing of all the BD! I'm not sure if he's pleased or slightly worried about what I'm expecting of him this month!!

Going to start going with the Ovulation Kits in a few days so we will see!

Just back from honeymoon and hard to concentrate on work with all of this excitement going on...

Muser · 11/10/2009 17:43

Hi Stellybelly, your details are exactly the same as mine! I'm CD7 on my first go as well. Hoping for good things but trying not to get too excited in case things don't go as quickly as I hope.

Good luck with your efforts.

Stellybelly · 11/10/2009 17:58

Oh good - nice to "meet" you Muse. It's early days I know and DP seems to think it's all going to happen in month 1! Would be nice to think but unlikely I suspect. Do you know what the averages are for these things??

Have you just come off the pill also? If I may ask!

Muser · 11/10/2009 18:13

I stopped taking the pill early last year and had a non-hormonal coil put in. I knew we were planning kids in the next couple of years and wanted to get my cycle back to normal. So theoretically I ought to be good to go (who knows though!).

I think I'm the one expecting it to happen right away and dh is more philosophical. I just keep imagining telling all the family at Christmas! Although in reality I'd probably be on the phone as soon as there was a line on a stick!

I'm just googling stats now. Let's see what our chances are. How old are you if you don't mind me asking? It looks like our odds change with age, I'm 30.

Muser · 11/10/2009 18:18

Ok, the stats have given me a massive reality check. Probably a good thing! This from NHS choices website

The chances of getting pregnant in each menstrual cycle vary according to several factors, but most importantly by the woman's age. Here are some age-related facts:

  • For a woman aged 20-25, the chances of conceiving are 25% for each cycle.
  • For a woman aged 30-35, the chances of conceiving are 15% for each cycle.
  • It will usually take a couple in their 20s an average of five cycles to conceive.
  • It can take a couple in their 30s around nine cycles to conceive.
Ladyemmalou83 · 11/10/2009 18:23

Welcome Stelly, congratulations on your wedding. I too came off honeymoon in June and went straight to TTC, its all very exciting.

Welcome Chico aswell.

The June bus is lovely to ride, I have made lots of lovely new friends, hopefully you will too.

Ladyemmalou83 · 11/10/2009 18:26

Ignore the June bus bit, Im easily confused at the mo. What I meant to say was

WELCOME ALL FIRST TIME FROLICKERS!

Stellybelly · 11/10/2009 19:57

Muser - not great odds! I'm 33 so 15% chance means we will be doing LOTS of BD from now on!

Ladyemmalouise - thanks for the welcome, are you on the June Bus then? Slightly confused...

I'm consoling myself with a sunday night box of milk tray - the wedding diet is definitely over!

Stellybelly · 11/10/2009 19:59

By the way - is there any truth in the whole putting your legs in the air post-coitally or I am being an old fishwife?

chico193 · 11/10/2009 21:10

Don't know stellybelly but I figure it must be worth doing anyway so have been. Can't do any harm.

Ladyemmalou83 · 11/10/2009 21:32

I agree with Chico its worth trying. I tend to always elevate my legs and try to stay put for 20mins or so. Sorry about the confusion earlier. Yep Im on the June bus too. I cant believe how much the odds change as we grow wiser, its so rubbish! Enjoy the milk tray. I have no chocolate in the house, even though could really do with some, wonder if DH will go get some??? Urrrr probably nope on that one

ImmaterialGirl · 11/10/2009 22:05

Oh my gosh, it is so hot this evening!!! Ive turned off all the central heating in the house, and even swapped tops with DH. He is now sat in my jumper, slim fit, and Im wearing his 18 1/2 inch shirt. He is freezing and I am boiling.....

claireinthecommunity · 11/10/2009 22:44

Very busy weekend for me, thought I'd have a quick read and short post.

Welcome to all the newbies
