CJ2007 · 21/09/2009 17:03

Hi claire hope you are well. Not feeling too positive this month after totally mis Reading my charts after my very long wait for af last month. Feeling chilled bout it though!!
Thinking of everyone else at various stages and hoping for some postive developments. X

pixiestix · 21/09/2009 18:14

curly, hope next month is the one.

Claire, which day are you going to test? I am trying to convince myself just to wait patiently for AF and only test if it is late, but I am already getting all jittery. Have been reading a thread on "Pregnancy" about people who conceived DD's very early on in their cycle and thinking "Ooh I may have a chance after all". TTC is so cruel - you just keeping hoping and hoping in the face of all sense and rationality!!
Will be hoping you get that BFP!

claireinthecommunity · 21/09/2009 20:25

So sorry to hear that Curly, all the best for next month.

CJ, yes I do remember your post about mis reading your charts now you've mentioned it again Good to read you are chilled about it, that's been the approach I've been trying to take this month.

pixiestix, like you I'm going to try and wait to test when AF is actually late... difficult though isn't it. I've also read that some people have conceived early on and late on in their cycles, which gives you some hope but also shows how hit and miss it can all be. I'll be hoping the same for you pixiestix

Trying4Baby1 · 21/09/2009 21:09

Hiya all, wow a lot's been happening since I last checked in. Can't believe how much the graduates list has grown! Hope everyone's well and it looks like there may be more BFPs to come too just looking at the figures.

I'm still just lurking about. Got my booking appointment tomorrow but no scan for another 4 weeks. Good luck to all those coming close to testing!!!

claireinthecommunity · 21/09/2009 21:35

Good to hear from you Trying

How have you been feeling, any strong PG symptoms yet?

Do come back and let us know how you get on at your booking appointment tomorrow - if you can, it would be really interesting to hear what they entail.

Ozziegirly · 22/09/2009 00:26

Well, tested with FMU this morning and a big "Not pregnant" - so I guess I just wait for AF to show up. I am only 1 day late so it is a bit early to get my hopes up!

It's annoying though that AF is late on the very month where I feel I have done everything "right" to conceive..typical..

Still, the way I see it, every extra month is an extra month's salary saved, looking on the bright side.

Also DH and I were talking about finally getting on and buying a house next year, so really the longer I can keep working the better really.

I say all this to myself but I am a bit gutted that it hasn't happened this month. Will let you know when I am CD1.

Good luck to all the testers in the next few days!

Ozziegirly · 22/09/2009 01:34

Ah, CD1. but expected.

Back onto the evening primrose oil, grapefruit juice and I'm going to add in a couple of cups of green tea per day as well - apparently also good for the EWCM.

Plus, most importantly, plenty of bonking.....

Ladyemmalou83 · 22/09/2009 02:44

Morning/Evening all

Finished work about an hour ago with intention of comeing home and springing surprise attack on DH! Have not had any for 3 weeks, so even with TTC, my normal needs are kicking in. Only when i got to the bedroom he was totally crashed out looking so cute I couldnt disturb him. So now im on here having drink half a larhe glass of wine and feeling quite merry with it! What a lightweight.

Shall have to blag some in the morning!

Had a really good chat with a former midwife who now works at the airport with me. She thinks i have sticky blood based on my blood group and cycles, and has confirmed what everyone was telling me on here to do, take half an aspirin daily and B6. She had 3 CPs then caught, so im hoping she is right and DH and I will annouce it this cycle or next.

However if lack of sex persists then I wotn be annoucing anything!

Right im off to finish large wine, and then crash out!

Sweet dreams all xx

kkas · 22/09/2009 09:11

Curly and Ozzie sorry to hear AF has arrived. Chin up girlies - treat yourself to something nice. We're all here if you need a good sob too!

trying so good to hear from you! Let us know how you get on with your booking appointment.

lady that sounds quite interesting about the sticky blood. And you're much nicer to DH than I would be - he would have been on duty late night or not! haha.

pixie claire CJ and anyone else coming up to the right time - let us know when you plan on testing!

Bit of BD drama again for me last night. But got there in the end. Does anyone else get extremely emotional around ov time? I felt some nagging pains last night on my right side, so expect it was last night or coming up soon. But it also made me cry for no apparent reason! I thought the irrational outpouring of emotions was supposed to come mainly around end of your cycle, but since I've been off the pill the middle week has been my worst for feeling hormonal and out of control! Let's just say DH can do it, even when I'm blubbering like a baby! Oh well - hopefully it was enough for us this month as the rest of the week is very unlikely to see some action....

Ozziegirly · 22/09/2009 09:18

Well I feel like I spoke a bit too soon.

TMI but I thought AF was starting as when I wiped after a wee at about 10 this am there was a bit of brownish blood on the paper - as is normal for AF starting for me.

But since then nothing has happened at all, no blood, spotting or anything, and the vague AF cramps have stopped.

So I am now 2 days late.

I have decided to try (yeah right!) not to think about it at all, and if AF hasn't arrived on Friday I will test on Saturday morning, which would be CD33. The longest cycle I have had so far is 30 days and that was the first after coming off the pill.

These tests are so reliable that I can't believe I actually am pregnant, especially with my total lack of any other symptoms, but equally something is making my otherwise regular period late.....

ImmaterialGirl · 22/09/2009 09:21

Hi everyone! I'm back from long weekend/holiday with the family, and rather glad to be home even though I had a lovely time.

Lots to catch up on, but most importantly,

fulhamgirl congratulations!!! I'm so happy for you sweetie! You've been so kind and lovely to everyone on here, we'll miss you, so do stick around and let us know how you're doing. And make sure you get that man of yours sorted out!!

spirael, I'm so so sorry to hear your news. That's really horrible -hope you're taking it easy. Not sure what else to say except that things just are so unfair sometimes... I'm sorry.

To those of you who've started a new cycle since I went away, sorry

And also, I'm one of you. AF got me the day after I left! Which means my cycle was only 25 days last month, and I'm now on CD6. I was a bit sad but not too much really, hadn't actually expected much after the whole train-delay situation anyway. Was more surprised at the short cycle. Luteal phase still 12 days though, so should be ok. And it meant I was having fun drinking with the family while getting over AF, which was nice.

Thought I'd do the update:

just had chance to actually read posts rather than simply write one while on a long motorway journey (10 hours!) spir I'm so sorry to hear what happened and hope your cycles settle again soon.

Sorry to all who have had to join me at the bottom on the pile. Onwards and upwards this month girls!

zippys · 22/09/2009 11:57

Hi everyone,

pixie claire CJ and anyone else coming up testing, have you had any symptoms yet?

Curly sorry to hear AF has arrived. At least it means getting closer to BDing time . Hope your was ok and not too bad traffic.

Kkas not experienced the emotional side at ovulation time especially, I think I am just emotional all the time at the moment!

lady lets hope you get some action soon, I thought my working hours were a nightmare but nothing compared to you.

Imma glad you had a goodweekend at least you could drink when you were away. lets hope its this month lucky.

Ozzie I know what you are going through, still no AF and now 4 days late for me. I am the same just had a little blood on wiping but no AF. Normally they are really heavy and last for about a week so something is very weird

I am the same as you, something must be making my AF late but I dont have any symptoms and the last test I did on Sunday morning was negative.

Anyone got any suggestions as to what is going on? Do I test again, only to be dissapointed??

claireinthecommunity · 22/09/2009 12:59

Ozzie I felt so deflated reading that you were on CD1, then to read you're not sure, well at least there is some hope. You must feel as confused as zippy is. No advice for either of you I'm afraid, other than what you already know (to wait a few days and if still no AF test again!) frustrating isn't it!?!

I'm not too sure about possible symptoms zippy. I am experiencing a bit of cramping/pain in that area, but it feels pretty much the same as last month where I got my hopes up and then a BFP. If my period hasn't arrived by next Wednesday I'll be officially late, so the plan is to wait to test at least until then...

Immaterial sorry to hear about AF getting you, but pleased you had a lovely weekend away.

Really interesting to hear what your work colleague has been through Ladyemmalou, that must've been reassuring for you

kkas I can be fairly emotional at different times of the month really. But one thing I have noticed since coming off the pill, is I'm getting less PMT. I find this a little strange as I thought one of the benefits of taking the pill (apart from the obvious) was that it could/would reduce any PMT symptoms. Mine were never that bad, but I did used to get easily irritated a couple of days pre AF. I even took the lack of PMT last month as a possible sign of PG... - I won't be fooled so easily this month

fulhamgirl · 22/09/2009 14:06

Heya guys!!

imma Im really sorry to hear bout arrival of AF!! Goodl luck for next month though happy bding!! And I will defo keep an eye on this thread and help as much as I can as I have experienced alot when ttc!! Obviously still very early days for me I am very nervous!!

ozzie- OMG really I dunno what to say other than that sounds really positive and for you as well zippys. Keeping everything crossed for you.

Claire- I tested 5 days before AF was due on a first respone and got a negative and then I tested 2 days before AF was due and got two positives so inthe space of only 3 days went from negative to positive so can really happen!!
I am keeping everything crossed for u as well!!

I dunno if this helps but biggest sign I got was the smell of Garlic made me heave on the train god knows where I was smelling that from!! lol!! And the boobs as well!!!

Im still so on edge thought guys im wishing the weeks away lol!!

Fingers crossed for more BFP's very soon!! !!

xxxxxxxxxxx

Ladyemmalou83 · 22/09/2009 14:07

Afternoon all....I caved and woke DH up in my merry state last night, needless to say though, im now calling him mr selfish now. Fact: if you want a decent S**g, dont let husband wait 3 weeks or he just wont last! We have 2 days off together now so hopefully we can make up for last night.

Kkas I get a little bit emotional around OV time, its my warning that it is happening. Hope ur feeling ok.

Claire I have to admit I do feel quite reasurred by what my colleague said, but she also said I need to give body a break this month, so not sure what to do on that one. DH feels I need to relax a little bit, but im pretty sure most people TTC on MN will feel the same, you want to relax but its sometimes a little hard to.

fulhamgirl · 22/09/2009 14:10

Oh and curly sorry about hearing AF hit for u as well babes and n e one else!!

I m sure it will be better news for u all net month I have a feeling everyone on here atm will have concieved by xmas im so sure of it!!

xxxxxxx

sevans · 22/09/2009 15:18

Aww, I'm so sorry Spirael. You seem to be holding up well and I'm hoping you will get a BFP soon!

Wow! Congrats fulhamgirl! What great news!

I've been spotting dark brown for the past week now. It's very strange. I've spotted dark brown various days spread out over this very loooong cycle (89 days today) but it has never been this many days in a row. Good thing I am planning on going to the doctor in October since I haven't had a period since the end of June and I'm more than likely not pregnant, so I will definitely mention the spotting. Wow-October is next week! Maybe I can get an appointment for the 1st! In the meantime, does anyone know what this spotting could be??

pixiestix · 22/09/2009 15:24

LOL at Ladyemma leaping on DH in the middle of the night! If anyone deserves that BFP next month then you do. I don't know about giving your body a break - there seems to be quite a lot of threads on here where people have gone on very quickly to conceive after a CP.

Claire you are so lucky to be getting less PMT - I didnt used to get anything when I was on the pill, now I am a quivering wreck on the day before AF. Last month I started crying when I got home because the carpet needed hoovering - and then caught myself and was WTF is happening to me?!!

No sypmtoms yet but still hoping and boob-jiggling x

pixiestix · 22/09/2009 15:26

sevans - could it be a really light period? Have you ever had a period like that in the past?

sevans · 22/09/2009 15:57

pixiestix I was thinking maybe a light period since it has been everyday for the past week but would that explain why I got it earlier in this cycle for a day or two spread here and there. I was on the pill for eight plus years resulting in normal monthly periods and all I can remember of my periods before the pill is that they were irregular but I don't remember them being dark and more like spotting.

Ladyemmalou83 · 22/09/2009 16:25

Thank You Pixie. My poor DH really does put up with a lot with me, bless

claireinthecommunity · 22/09/2009 17:07

at Ladyemmalou you and your DHs s**gging antics do make me laugh!

Yes pixie it's a real improvement, the lack of PMT (particularly for DH )

sevans I really don't know what to make of your cycle length and apparent lack of periods, hopefully your doctor will be able to offer some answers...I look forward to hearing what he/she has to say about it

fulham thank you for your encouragement, a BFP before Christmas would be fantastic!! (For me and everyone else )

sevans · 22/09/2009 18:18

A BFP would be a fantastic Christmas gift!! Or a fantastic time to announce the news!!
