Hello,

Just popping in to say congrats to Fulham (I have been keeping an eye on all you lovely ladies!!). FAB news!!

claireinthecommunity · 19/09/2009 14:21

Oooh zippy, no AF symptoms and past when you'd expect her to arrive, it does sound rather promising actually. Fingers firmly crossed for you

Good to hear you've been keeping tabs on us all pepper How are you feeling, do you feel PG?

zippys · 19/09/2009 15:46

claire I had the same thoughts as you, so I cracked and did the other boots test BFN again . I have gone out and bought some more sensitive tests but am going to wait till tomorrow at the earliest to retest.

I have not given up totally on getting a BFP but the 2 BFN make me just feel like I am being silly still holding out hope.

Ladyemmalou83 · 19/09/2009 18:41

Stay positive Zippy .

DH I had a good old natter today about his antics last night, which went better than expected, I think he just went with the flow of his mates and got a bit carried away.

Well tonight Im gonna spring him, not had any for a 2-3 weeks now, so time for some action . Have no clue when im gonna ovulate, so just gonna go with the flow this month and see what happens.

CJ2007 · 19/09/2009 20:01

Keep your chin up zippys.

Pleased to hear things are taking a better path with dh lady

I'm certain no bfp this month for me so enjoying a Saturday evening with some vino!!
Wishing you all a fabbie weekend! Take care all.

It was his mates went with the flow there all the same!! If u dont mind me asking how old is DH?
Erm as well I dont know if anyone else has heared this the boots PG test will only show up with so so so strong UCG levels might be worth trying a more sensitive one huni in a few days if

Oh Zippys I dunno hun if its any reasurance I got a bfn before I got my positives. I waited 3 days and got my posErm as well I dont know if anyone else has heared this the boots PG test will only show up with so so so strong UCG levels might be worth trying a more sensitive one huni in a few days if still no AF!! Chin up chicken no af= still means could be a very positive outsome . I know its so fustrating though.

Spiral-omg babes in so so so sorry!!! It wasent meant to be huni that egg! Im so upset for you!! I really am!!! I had one of them in June so I know what your going through!! Oh babes im so sorry !!! Happy bding again though!! Did u and DH still have a lot of u know when u found out cause I heared if u do that can increase chance of early MC!! (part of the argument i had with my drunk BF last night).

Can I ask guys if on my clear blue its saying im 1-2 weeks pregnant and my due date is 11th May does that mean the baby is already nearly 5 weeks?

CJ lol enjoy the vino I dont know how im gonna cope for 9 months lol! U can get non alcohlic marks and spencer wine just dont taste the same though!

pixiestix · 20/09/2009 13:53

Hello,
Sorry I have been a bit quiet on here this week, have been feeling really frustrated at the thought of "wasting" another month.
I've been reading all your news though.

Spirael I'm so sorry to hear of your MC - that must be such a blow. Hope you can get back to TTC quickly and that it will happen for you soon.

Zippys - I am keeping my fingers crossed for you and hoping that your HCG levels were just a bit low to be picked up on when you did those tests. If there is still no AF there is still hope!

Fulham - Huge congrats!!! I am xx

It should be 7 days until AF is due for me so I am starting to get all fretful about testing and wondering whether maybe, just maybe something will have happened for me.
My fertile time was the 10th - 14th according to the Mumsnet calculator. We BD'ed on the 10th but then nothing more until yesterday - I know the chances are really slim but I just can't help hoping.
Stupid.

kkas · 20/09/2009 14:26

Aw Spirael really sorry to hear about your MC. We are all here for you babe!

fulham great news sweetie. So happy for you!

Nothing to report here besides just getting used to this imac - so far so good! and study is amazing. So worth all the hard work!!!

fulhamgirl · 20/09/2009 14:40

Thanks guys!!

Pixie I tested on day 24 of my cycle and to be honest with you it was a waste of money!!

Ne way 3 days later took first response then cler blue both positive so I know its hard but if u do test now and get a BFN please dony worry like I did lol!

Imma done that as well tested to early so keeping my fingers crossed for her cant wait to hear her news!!

Still fingers crossed for all!!

lmao KKS has u managed to get him away from that for some BDing? lol!!

I get sickness in the afternoon !!

Ladyemmalou83 · 20/09/2009 15:34

Fulham DH is 28 next month, but when he is with the lads he becomes 16 again. Silly Boy. Bless him, I did however know all this before we got married so I should have learnt by now.

Plan to spring DH in the bedroom last night ttotally fell apart! Was due to finish work at half night/ ten ish, only one of the aircraft went major tech, and ended up leaving work at 3am this morning, just as DH was getting up to go to work him self. Anyway we are both covering the night shift at work tonight, so no BD again.

Still only day 9 for me, so I should be ok to not had any yet, I think? Will have to up the pace during the week though or we will have had a wasted month. oh joyful

CJ2007 · 20/09/2009 16:27

So sorry to hear your news spirael, my thoughts are with you...
Keeping my fingers crossed for you ladies testing
I'm eagerly awaiting af!! Bring on next month!!!

Catni · 20/09/2009 21:53

Hi there, new to mumsnet and been on dianette for four years and stopped on 11/07, followed by normal menstruation. Thought it would take for ever to get cycle back to normal, never mind conceive and haven't had another period. Feeling tired, breasts tender, very emotional so thought I'd do a test. Clearblue, either - or +, Have got the faintest + on two tests. Not wanting to get too excited. If we have conceived, how on earth will we know when we did conceive? And can clearblue give false positive?

Ozziegirly · 21/09/2009 04:32

spirael so sorry to hear of your MC.

I am now on CD27 and AF should have arrived today. I have been pretty regular since I have been off the pill. We also DTD at the "right" time this month.

So just tested and no PG.

Will hold off and if AF doesn't arrive overnight or this PM I will test again in the morning.

TMI but I had only had a wee about 30 mins earlier and I have drunk a lot of water today, so I wonder if it was just a bit diluted?

On the other hand, I have no symptoms at all so am more likely to believe that I am not PG.

Ozziegirly · 21/09/2009 04:33

Sorry I am CD28 and UCL is CD27.

Also what I meant was I had had a wee, then tested only 30 mins later.

Ozziegirly · 21/09/2009 08:10

God this testing lark is addictive! I have done a bit more reading and maybe I shouldn't have tested only 30 mins after weeing!

So now I am wondering if it's silly to test again this afternoon with more concentrated wee, or wait until tomorrow and use the FMU.

I know that if I test and it is "not pregnant" I will only want to test again anyway.

Sensible me thinks that if I'm pregnant now, I probably still will be in the morning and it is a waste of money to keep testing.

But bonkers me wants to test again in case I did the test wrong first time.

But it's a clearblue digital and I am testing on "first day of missed period" so surely the chances that I have a false negative are really low as the test says it is 99% accurate?

zippys · 21/09/2009 08:30

Morning everyone, hope everyone had a good weekend.

Ozzie if you can I would wait until FMU (easier said than done!!) then at least you can take away some of the questions over if your levels are high enough. I think 30 mins after weeing may not have long enough, or wait till this afternoon with more concentrated wee if you can't wait I am keeping everything crossed for you right now.

Spirael I am so sorry to hear your news, I hope you are ok and have plently of people at home around to support you.

fulham I hope you are coping with the sickness, is it affecting you at work?

Thanks everyone for the kind thoughts, I still have no AF but (TMI alert) had a little spotting on Sunday, only when I wiped, then nothing else till this morning when again just a tiny amount of blood when I wiped but it looked a little lighter in colour today (again sorry if TMI).

Tested again with a superdrug test on Sunday morning and still BFN! So I think we can say that I am not pregnant and my body is just toying with me and making my already stupidly long cycle even longer!

I think I am gettting too obsessed with this and may need to take a step back for a few months, stop all the tracking and just enjoy ourselves .

fulhamgirl · 21/09/2009 08:34

Heya Catin!!

I dont think you can get a false positive no. If I was your I would go doctors today to get checked out cause if your are preggers u will need to start taking advice and folic acid. Good luck to you let us know how u get on.

Heya Ozzie!! It is a waste of money to keep testing I know!! So many people can get false negatives for so many reasons!! Its weired as u can get get a fake negative but u cant get a fake positive!! I think whilst your AF has not arrived to take it as a positive and still take extra care as u know there is a chance that u have concieved. I took clear blue and first responce!! I took a first responce the first time I tested on the tuesday and got a very clear negative then I tested with a first responce again 3 days later and thats when I got my positive then took the clear blue to double check!! So defo could still be preggers I got a negative this month. I took my test in the evenings but htey do advise u to use morning wee!!

Let me know how u get on babes fingers are crossed for you.

Ozziegirly · 21/09/2009 08:45

Right. I will wait.

I will be strong.

I don't feel pregnant at all so I don't want to go mad at this very early stage anyway. I will test first thing in the morning.

I also thought - if I am pregnant and it is meant to be, taking the test won't affect the result either way! I'm already off booze and taking vitamins so a couple of days waiting won't make any difference.

I am a bit hopeful as I have been fairly regular with my UCL, and I had EWCM and DTD on cue, but on the other hand, I still have vague AF pains so I wonder if this is just a late AF for no reason at all.

Will let you know tomorrow!

zippys · 21/09/2009 08:53

SOrry just realised how rude I have been, hi Catlin, as fulham says a you dont really get false BFP so, Congratulations. Good luck

Ozzie I was excactly like you, had EWCM, DTD bang on time so it is so hard when AF is then late and BFN. Lets just hope that your news is better than mine. Good luck for tomorrow

kkas · 21/09/2009 09:14

Hi Catni congrats on your BFP and good luck! Let us know what day you took the test and we'll add you to our lucky graduates list.

fulham hope the sickness isn't too bad. Any other good pg symptoms to share with all us jealous girls?! Anyway - I did manage to pull DH away from the imac a couple times over the weekend, and hopefully again tonight as tomorrow he is away on a training course and I am likely to ov Wed or Thurs if I'm the same as last month.... this timing thing is so stressful - what if we don't feel like doing it tonight?!?! Just have to wait and see I suppose.

Ozzie Good advice from everyone to wait at least another day and test with FMU. Can't wait to hear if you have any news for us tomorrow!

zippys never TMI! Isn't it just a pain when you don't know either way.... so annoying!

pixiestix · 21/09/2009 11:09

Hi Ozzie - just adding to the list of people telling you to wait until tomorrow morning, even though it must be agonising!!
Crossing my fingers for you x

Spirael · 21/09/2009 12:53

Hi all, thanks for the support. It's been a bit of a rough time over the past week or so and my hormone levels being all over the place really isn't helping! I'll be fine one minute then traumatised the next, which is a bit offputting - even if I do know why it's happening.

Utterly unhelpful too...I seem to have come down with a cold. Probably to do with my immune system starting to cut out thanks to the BFP, then the stress opening me up to the various bugs that are going around at the moment. Grr! Oh well, at least it gives me an excuse for another day off work where I can sit at home and feel sorry for myself.

fulhamgirl, to be honest I didn't DTD with DH at all once I was past my fertile period last month. We got down to it so much over that time that we both needed a break! So I know that definitely wasn't the cause. I don't think I did anything to cause the MC, I think it was just one of those unfortunate things.

The problem I have now, of course, is that my cycle could be all over the place. It's likely MC bleeding and not a true period I'm currently going through, so I'm not sure whether or not I'll ovulate this month, which is why I've made the note next to my cycle day in the list. Thanks to the bug and MC my temps are all over the place, so goodness knows how I'll have any idea what's going on! I'm trying not to resort to POAS for ovulation too.

I guess DH and I will just have to give it a try around when I'd usually expect ovulation to happen, and cross our fingers for some kind of miracle.

Good luck to everyone testing at the moment! Hopefully it'll be good news for you all.

claireinthecommunity · 21/09/2009 13:40

So sorry to hear of your sad news spirael zippy and ozzie, it must be so frustrating for you, the not knowing. I'm thinking of you both - will be me next week!

Thank you for asking about any symptoms I might be getting fulham. I'm trying not to think about it too much after last months 'symptom 'o'thon', followed by a BFN! Difficult not to though isn't it?!? There are things going on down there but I'm trying not to read anything into it just yet.

Pixiestix, it only takes one little swimmer, so, you never know! I see we are on the same CD, even with my slightly longer cycle length we'll be testing around the same time - good luck

Here's hoping all flights a safe on schedule takeoff/landing so you and DH can get some action this week Ladyemmalou

Sorry if I've missed something CJ, but do you feel that you haven't got a chance this month for any particular reason?

Welcome Catni, as others have already said, a positive is a positive - congratulations Your doctor will be able to work out with you your approximate conception date and therefore your due date - good luck.

Thank you for updating the list kkas
