Agreed WWSW - it could have been a dud test so just carry on as you were, it only takes one leetle sperm!
Thankfully I didn't have to resort to the John Terry outfit in the end but I'm glad to hear there are other football widows out there!

ImmaterialGirl · 10/09/2009 09:35

Hi everyone,
Thought I'd drop by and say hi, haven't posted on this thread for a while.

MrsRigby sounds like you've had a rotten couple of days. I'm so sorry I hope the weekend is better for you.

WWSW Actually, you should probably get down to it right now! OPK's don't tell you you're ovulating, they tell you you have the hormone surge that causes ovulation. From what I understand the actual ovulation can happen as much as 48 hours after you get your +opk.

I thought I'd update our list while I'm at it:

Hi everyone, it's been a while since I've posted and scarily find myself at the front of the bus .

Thekurgan

MrsR Sorry you are going through a rough patch.

Hang in there Bluesnowfalcon. Like Hollyoaks said, it might be early days. Im still waiting for AF and will test on Sunday if nothing has happened (on and off lower back and below navel twinges aside).

sky27 · 10/09/2009 18:55

HELLO all, I've not disappeard just taking time out. Had two weekends away and feel a lot less stresses about it all.

Hope everyone is well

WickedWitchSouthWest · 10/09/2009 20:43

Hello ladies

thanks for the reassurances! I felt completely rubbish last night about it all, but happily have been so busy today I've forgotten to use another opk to check things. Probably a good thing! We are now at the flat out bonking stage. Last month I got the positive opk on cd16 but pretty sure I ov'd cd17 so off we go! Am cooking a lovely big roast tonight for plenty of energy

Hollyoaks · 10/09/2009 20:51

Thats the spirit WWSW Sky27 sounds like you have had a nice couple of breaks.

Mumabee good luck, fingers crossed.

UmBongo · 10/09/2009 22:41

Good Luck to all.

mampam · 11/09/2009 08:48

Good morning all. Hope you are all ok?

Just thought I'd check in as I'm off on my holiday tomorrow for 2 weeks and may not have time to get back on here today as I'm doing a split shift. I haven't got time to pack my clothes so may have to leave it up to DH and DC's so that probably means I will be walking around looking like I'm going out clubbing with great big high heels on everyday!!!! I'm taking my laptop with me so I'll check in when I can find somewhere with WiFi!!(How sad am I?!!)

Have decided (rightly or wrongly) that I'm NOT going to take any HPT's with me. I'm on CD17 (I think) and I should be about ready to either come on my period or get a BFP by the time I get back. Hopefully I won't have time to be symptom spotting!!

I want to see lots of BFP's ladies by the time I get to next check in. So fingers crossed, good luck and lots of baby dust to you all xxxx

WickedWitchSouthWest · 11/09/2009 09:38

hi mampam have a fabby holiday

waves to umbongo, you and both both I think!

Am very pissed off. Hubby spent all evening working then fell into bed at midnight and promptly passed out. I can't believe it, I was so angry last night that if we had a spare room I would have been in it. He has NO IDEA that this means another 4 weeks of me being mardy before we can try again I just want to be pregnant...why is it so hard?

Sorry, moaning again.

30ish · 11/09/2009 20:52

Evening all!
Can someone please add me to the bus?
Stats:

30ish TTC#2 cycle#3 CD6

I've always been very regular - some spotting four days before period and then prompt arrival of AF. No AF this month, just spotting. Have done a HPT on a Boots cheapie but BFN. Has anyone else experienced this? What is happening to my body?

Fingers crossed for lots of BFPs this month!Have decided to use OPKs this month - ebay cheapies so not sure if they will work!

Why is it everywhere I go there are heavily pregnant women or tiny babies being pushed in prams?

Hollyoaks · 11/09/2009 20:53

Mampam enjoy your holiday

WWSW there's still time left yet, keep testing. Or maybe theres no need and your already pg.

Umbongo sorry that you've had to jump on the June bus, good luck this time round.

WickedWitchSouthWest · 11/09/2009 21:55

Hi 30ish nice to meet you. Welcome to the bus! I was thinking you'd be sitting in the back where the private bar is, but I don't know....sort of sounds like implantation spotting. Maybe a shy bfp? Do another test in a couple of days if you don't get a flood before then Good luck!

hollyoaks I'd love it if you were right! But have had some cramps today which I assume to be ov pains. Hubby will not be let off duty tonight, he has been thoroughly chastised.

Anyone heard from mrsrigby? hope you're ok if you're reading x

WWSW, well if the opk has a line, then as we all know a line is a line so you will have to try and jump dh before he passes out tonight!!!

Good Luck

WickedWitchSouthWest · 11/09/2009 22:03

oh umbongo I don't care what I have to do to keep him awake tonight!!! God, we'd only need 15 mins tops lol (the joys of marriage, eh?)

30ish · 12/09/2009 13:16

WWSW you were right! Very shy BFP! I had implantation bleeding with my DD but I seriously thought I was about to start my period last week!

Lots of baby dust and best wishes to everyone. Does this mean I have to get off at the next stop?

liahgen · 12/09/2009 13:24

Hi all,

Haven't been on for a while, the start of every cycle always gets me down. Have been lurking though.

umbongo sadly the OPK's don't work in the same way as HPT's, in that a line is not a line in the same way, the test line has to be as dark if not darker than the control for it to be pos. (obviously, that deosn't mean disregard it, just means could have few more days to go)

Well, we are now in fertile country. Haven't started on OPK's yet this month, gonna do 1st one later today, been temping thou for all that's worth, haven't a clue what the temps mean so Unfortunately DH has put his back out yesterday. That does not let him off this month, he'll do his bit later and like it.

congratulations 30ish you can hang around for a few more grads to join you if you like, looks like you're the first. Hope it all goes well for you.

Can someone tell me about the temps, where they should be and such like. Don't send me to FF cos I can't get the hang of it.

TIA and good luck to anyone else due to test soon. x

WickedWitchSouthWest · 12/09/2009 14:33

Yay! Huge congrats 30ish our first graduate who's next?!

I think i ov'd yesterday, had some very sharp cramps low down so i think that's it. Jumped dh but not sure how much i kept coz there was a nasty wet patch Still tonight to go though Stupid opk's!

Hi lia I have no clue about temps, hope someone can help. Nice to have you back

Congratulations 30ish! liahgen sorry I don't know about temps either but I hope someone here is more knowledgeable.

Think the fates are conspiring against me ever conceiving. Last night we were just about to get down to it when a fricking MOUSE ran out from under the bed. Shudder. As you may imagine it kind of killed the mood but nonetheless we soldiered on! Then I woke up this morning with raging cystitis on what is supposed to be my most fertile day. Now I'm downing pints of water and trying to flush it through my system with the crazy notion that we still might be able to do it tonight... Depressed.

MrsRigby · 12/09/2009 21:33

Evening everyone - it's been a while, can't actually remember when I last posted .

You may or may not know that Google has released an online monopoly competition. I LOVE MONOPOLY. So of course I've managed to get myself hooked and hence I went AWOL from the thread.

Sorry.

Feeling better, that's mostly because I'm just not thinking about returning to work or DS being put in nursery. Ignorance is bliss . Also my period has finished and I'm concentrating on TTC#2 this month [wishful thinking smiley].

Congratulations 30ish. TheKurgan it's just a mouse, you should have just carried on (I like mice). The cystitis on the other hand [ouch smiley]. What about yogurt, I'm sure I read somewhere that yogurt helps. Not sure if your supposed to eat it or spread it in and around the vagina

yeah, about interruptions....last night dd managed to wet the bed at a reasonably crucial point! Took ages to get back to that once we'd sorted her out grr.
