Hey MrsR Sounds like you have had a sh*t day. Can you appeal it with your employer or ask them if there is another way to come to a resolution like job sharing or something along those lines? I know there are some rights about being able to request flex hours to care for a DC under 6 and found this..www.workingfamilies.org.uk/images/Factsheets/flexible_working090403.pdf.not sure if it helps you?

Maybe it could be a good oportunity to do something diffent anyway if you want to stay at home with your DS as it sounds really important that you have this time with him? Maybe Avon or something like that, not sure how much would be invoved to raise £200 a month?

Try to speak to your DH however hard, he has to help work out how you can get through this?

Hope everything works out, we are always here to listen when ever you need it xxx

MrsRigby · 08/09/2009 21:18

firerise your making me cry. Your managing to do what my husband can't, listen and understand.

Thank you so much .

Hollyoaks · 08/09/2009 21:37

MrsR can't offer much help, but I know when my request of reduced hours was not fully accepted my union told me it was because I hadn't quoted the phrase 'flexible working regulations'. This means the employer has to let you know if they can grant your request and there must be an important business reason why they can't. Not sure if that helps but I know how crap it is to have to go to work when you dont want to.

WickedWitchSouthWest · 08/09/2009 22:23

oh mrsr i completely sympathise with the pnd...bloody awful. I went back to work in the midst of my very black period and lasted all of 3 months Luckily I made hubby realise I was very low and I haven't been back to work since. I had to connect with dd (despite the fact I was bf her til 18months I really had no connection to her til she was 14 months) and it's the best thing we've ever done. I need to earn some money now tho!! A friend stuffs envelopes for a company from home and I'm thinking something like that but no idea how much she brings in. Am gonna find out

You're gonna have to spell out to dh how bad you're feeling tho. Mine only noticed when I told him I was off to the gp for anti-d's and he flipped and basically told me to stop working and get back on track.

Good luck

WickedWitchSouthWest · 08/09/2009 22:26

fireise glad to be of some help We've got through a bulb of garlic and a whole bag of spinach in the last week alone lol. Love Bootcamp!

MrsRigby · 08/09/2009 23:52

Definately on a period now, I suppose I should be happy about that at least.

Went to bed about an hour ago, DH fell asleep, I started crying uncontrolably, DH and I had an argument and DH has walked out.

Morning.

He came back last night. This morning we're not talking and he's acting like nothing has happened.

He just kept going on last night about wanting a safety net, he doesn't seem to understand how bad things are. He wouldn't be bothered if I went on anti-depressants, he suggested going on them before. He told me I'll be okay when I go back to work.

Basically it's not so much about the money, more what he wants, that's the message I'm getting.

I'm going to the baby clinic tomorrow, so I'll ask the doctor if he can sign me of work with stress.

mrsr I just want to give you a big squeeze, you sound as low as I did. Please go and spk to the dr at the baby clinic, sounding off to someone outside the family is the best thing to do. If you want to carry on ttc, anti d's are obv not good, but maybe you could be referred for counselling? Might take a while tho, that's the only thing.

Romilly70 · 09/09/2009 11:47

MrsRigby big ((((hug)))) to you.
Hope everything works out okay for you...

Just a quick update AF arrived this am.
This is a bit of a gross question I need ask, sorry but do you count CD1 as the day the brown discharge starts or the (next) day when the red flow actually begins? (i am just trying to be accurate as possible with my charting...)

So I think my updated stats are:

MadScot · 09/09/2009 14:21

MrsR you are having a truly awful time . I second WWSW by saying you really should try and get some counselling. As regards the working from home I have a friend that does something called PamperChef that she raves about, she lives in Scotland tho so not sure if it exists in England.

On another note I seem to be at the bottom and top of the list, here is it updated (i hope)

MadScot · 09/09/2009 14:27

Firerise will start obsessive daily testing (with cheap OPK sticks from e-bay that I have convinced my self won't work anyway) as soon as AF leaves. Was kinda tempted to take that approach this month anyway as wanted more confirmation of fully functioning ovaries as well as regular periods. I seem to have convinced myself that it will take me ages ttc, feeling very pessimistic .

bluesnowfalcon · 09/09/2009 18:27

Hi all - sorry for my absence but now back at school and can't keep up!

As far as I go - still no AF but got crampy tummy now so guess it's on its way. Got a BFN this morning so now just waiting to start again!

Sorry to se you are having a crappy time MrsR Hope things get better soon x

WickedWitchSouthWest · 09/09/2009 19:39

wickedwitch is FED UP of moaning pregnant women!! stfu and get on with it!

There done it. That's the only bloody place I can type that

...obviously reserving the right to moan as much as I like when I get there too tho. Ahem.

loopybear · 09/09/2009 19:42

Hi everyone,

Sorry Mrs R that you are having a tough time. Pampered Chef is in England. It's very addictive once you start buying it.

No signs of ovulating. DH is now away until Friday, will have to make up for it at the weekend. Does anyone know if temp charting works if you have PCOS? I've been told that ovulating sticks don't work.

WickedWitchSouthWest · 09/09/2009 19:42

er, should point out that general whinges such as oo sore back today, or oh i'm knackered are fine interspersed with normal stuff but some people take the biscuit - on facebook especially - with a minute by minute MOAN of which bit hurts now, how big baby is, swollen ankles etc. aaaarghhhhh!!!

WickedWitchSouthWest · 09/09/2009 19:43

hi loopy. I have some pampered chef stuff and it's great I'd probably be spending more than I'm making doing parties tho lol

loopybear · 09/09/2009 19:46

Have to say WWSW completely agree with you. MY BF is pregnant and moans that she wants her baby to come before christmas not mid Jan. I pointed out I just wanted to be pregnant

Hollyoaks · 09/09/2009 20:08

Hi MrsR sorry to hear that your having a tough time at the minute, this is a good place to vent if you feel the need. .

Well I am sure I ovulated at the weekend so me and dh are taking a break. Can't believe he actually suggested that, though this is a particularly tough week for my family and going back to work on Monday doesn't help.

BSF glad to hear from you again. Don't give up just yet, the signs of af and pg can be very similar. My fingers are still crossed for you.

WWSW agree with the moaning pg women as long as we are allowed to moan copiously when its our turn. I will whine every day when morning sickness hits.

Loopy don't think I've spoken to you before so hi.

TheKurgan · 09/09/2009 20:39

Sigh. I'm fertile and frisky and the only way I could get Mr Kurgan to look at me right now was if I dressed up as John Terry. Desperate times ...

WickedWitchSouthWest · 09/09/2009 20:46

lol kurgan v funny!

I'm having a confused moment, and slightly pissed off.

Last month got +ve opk on day 16. So, yesterday at 5pm did an opk that had a faint line on it. Today's (@8:30pm)is absolutely blank, nothing at all! Please tell me it's a duff one and I haven't missed ov!! We haven't seen any bed action since day 12!! Was way too tired last night when dh crawled into the pit at 1:30am I think we've taken it TOO easy this month and now I want to cry.

Hollyoaks · 10/09/2009 07:14

wwSW you may not have missed your window so make up for it today. I'm sure most of the advice from various sources suggests you have sex the day after ovulation as well as during, so there is still a possibility that you could get pg if ovulation has occurred. It may also be the test was a dud so test again at the right time.

Good luck

TheKorgan that was my night too, but I'm on the tww so a break was fine by me
