girlsaloud yes same city and same job. We might be moving again as we are in the process of buying. DS is well very inquisitive and an adventurer. He gave me the fright of my life a month ago when he fell down the stairs (all the way from top to bottom). I cried each time I thought about it for at least two weeks. But when he is not trying to kill himself he is lovely lovely and very cute which is probably why I am broody again. DD is great too. She has just started school. I cannot believe how time flies. Just make the most of DD not walking yet because that is when the trouble starts!!! Shame I am not in MK anymore, would have been nice to go to aqua together again!

Apologies to the others for hijack...again

GirlsAreLOud · 30/09/2009 18:46

needahand your poor DS, and poor you, tha must have been such a shock.
Would have been great to go to aquanatal together again, got to get pregnant first though!

(apologies for the hijack too!)

Hollyoaks · 30/09/2009 19:56

woofie congratulations Hope your dh knows by now!

nymphadora it can take a long time for your periods to return after coming off the pill. It took ages for me when ttc dd. I know thats now what you wanted to hear but it may stop you worrying about it.

WWSW why shouldnt we use Ann Summers lube?

nymphadora · 30/09/2009 20:18

I have had a period and was only on for a year(and not very consistant ) and had odd periods throughout.

kkas · 30/09/2009 20:19

congrats woofie really excited to hear your great news and that it can happen as easy as that!

Hollyoaks · 30/09/2009 20:20

Oh, well maybe the hormones are still in your system? I know it took me 6 months for my cycle to regulate itself after stopping.

nymphadora · 30/09/2009 20:28

Maybe, not expecting it this month but don't like the waiting cos then there is still hope!

I'm not a very patient person

Loujalou · 30/09/2009 20:28

I use durex lub. Its not supposed to have spermicide. My DH checked and double checked. Think we used it last time and it was ok.

Hollyoaks · 30/09/2009 20:37

Oh spermicide doh. I'm really slow on the uptake. I thought there was a better lube out there

WickedWitchSouthWest · 30/09/2009 21:44

hollyoaks and louja I was told not to use any lube at all unless it was preseed or zestica due to the acidity of normal lubes being toxic to sperm. Also the texture is too thick for the sperm to be able to swim through. Pick any of these sites for a read! I've got zestica but we haven't really used it much perhaps I should dig it out!

liahgen · 30/09/2009 21:45

I'm getting off ladies. It's a year now, we started last September, hade early Mc at Xmas and can't do this anymore.

We're still trying but can't keep coming on here watching all the BFP's.

I'm genuinely genuinely thrilled for all the graduates but just been to a birth today, (i'm a Doula) andI just want it to be my turn.

I was 43 couple weeks ago, and I kind of feel in my heart of hearts that it just won't happen again for us.

Good luck everyone. I'm still on MN so will be available for Doula support for any of you. Just leaving TTC boards.

xx

MrsRigby · 30/09/2009 21:56

Evening

Congratulations woofie .

And congratulations to silverboots and hellsnb .

loujalou everyone else is pregnant . There's only us lot on MN that are having problems.

DH and I are absolutely fed up of having sex, every other day for the past 4 months almost. If it hasn't happened this month I'm going to ask the doctor to re-refer me to the gynaecologist. It's not like we don't know if there's a problem, we do, I have PCOS - so I'm not going to have him tell me I need to have been trying for a year.

For everyone's information, I threw up last night whilst having sex (I swallowed it and DH and I carried on ). Never have sex after drinking 1.5 litres of water. Apparently drinking water helps ovulation.

liahgen don't go, please. I'll miss you .

WickedWitchSouthWest · 30/09/2009 21:58

mrsr that is truly minging! I'm also drinking masses of water but take your tip on board. Good luck with the gp. I'm seeing mine on Friday just so she knows how pissed off I am.

oh lia what mrsr said. I'll miss you too

MrsRigby · 30/09/2009 22:08

Oh I forgot to say, we think DS slept through last night. I say think, because we accidentally left the baby monitor downstairs. That said, our room is next to DS. We'd have heard him cry, right?

We're hoping that if he did sleep through last night that he does the same tonight .

Got the milk in the fridge ready, just in case DS decides otherwise

UmBongo · 30/09/2009 22:17

liaghen, sorry you are leaving us, I'll miss you too.

Congratulations to all the BFPs

TeaFan, if it helps you are not the only long term bus rider!

MN is just about the only place I can sound off and have a good old rant when I need to without DH and other family members doing faces! So I am much happier on the bus than I was pedalling my own canoe!

nymphadora · 01/10/2009 07:27

lia sorry to see you go

CurlyCasper · 01/10/2009 09:07

Sorry you're off lia. Take care and good luck

needahand · 01/10/2009 09:27

liagen this is so sad. I hope you are wrong and that it happens for you

Mrs Rigby this is definitely a step in the right direction, how old is DS

eveywoo77 · 01/10/2009 09:34

Hi everyone hope your all havin a good day today. Im after a little advice please???
My UC 25/28 Im now on CD30 DP and I have decided not to test till sunday as we cant cope with the let down when Im not. Can anyone tell me which is the best HPT to buy. When I had my DD I was very slow to produce HCG so it didnt show till over a week after AF was due and that was with a NHS test at the clinic. But that was nearly 14 years ago so a bit out of touch with whats about now as you can imagine. Thanks all xxxx

WickedWitchSouthWest · 01/10/2009 09:45

Hi eveywoo gosh that sounds really hopeful. I think most of the hpts you get in shops can pick up 25mlU of hcG now, but First Response and Clear Blue Digital spring to mind as easy to use and read. Apparently your hcG levels should be at 50mlU at the point your period would be due.

hth! Good luck

sayanything · 01/10/2009 10:25

Hello all. I've been a terrible passenger, haven't been on the board at all, but if it's any excuse I'm drowning at work, no time for mumsnet believe it or not.

SO:

Congratulations to all the BFPs !!!
but
I'm sorry you're leaving us Liaghen and that it hasn't happened for you yet - best of luck.

And best of luck MrsR with the GP.

I ovulated a few days ago according to my Clearblue Fertility Monitor so we dutifully shagged on those days and now I'm in the awful 2ww, itching to test, but I'm only 4dpo. I'll just sit on my hands for at least another week.

LoobyLou82 · 01/10/2009 11:03

Hi folks,

Im still here, been on a while (few months now)but just sitting back and watching this space. I told myself not to get obsessed like the last few months so im actually feeling very calm. Just launched a business so im ok if i get preg or not at the mo. I have a lot to keep me busy so it will happen when it happens not stressing. I have set up as a face painter! im already a professional artist but wanted to launch my face painting business too. woo!

I have two kids already and im 27 so not in any huge rush to fall preg. were wanting another so trying and it will hopefully happen in the next few months i imagine so were just chilling and enjoying our sex and not making it mechanical which it was conceiving the last two.

congrats to all bfp's hopefully i will be seeing that bfp soon too. Had mc in july so i think this is why im trying not to stress or get my hopes up...
