Big Congrats to you, wonderful news to start the weekend with

MadScot · 18/09/2009 16:29

Congratulations Hollyoaks that's fab.

Gingerbics · 18/09/2009 20:30

Great news Hollyoaks, so pleased for you!

Wicked witch you asked if it was the GP I went to see...yes it was and she didn't seem to think it was unreasonable coming to her after 8months. She said if i'm not preg by nov will refer me to hospital but she said hopefully will be pregnant by then.

Someone asked what Deanna's plan is, its on the 'sperm meets egg' website and deanna's plan is actually devised for women trying to conceive following miscarriage but thought it was worth a shot...well a lot of shots (IYSWIM!)

Have a great weekend everyone

skihorse · 19/09/2009 08:26

I'm adding myself to the June bus - can we take the scenic route please? I'm so bored of the usual TTC route.

fire I don't think there's ever a good time financially unless you're millionaires. Even people with good, regular salaries can have the boiler AND the washing machine blow up on the same month. Good luck with the new job hunt though.

liahgen · 19/09/2009 10:54

congratulations hollyoaks

welcome ski

Roll on Thursady, earliest I can test..shall i hold off?

Am tentatively optimistic this month, (hmm haven't I said that before? )

nymphadora · 19/09/2009 13:23

Not got as far as ovulating and am symptom spotting, going to be a long month!

loopybear · 19/09/2009 18:06

Haven't managed to log on for a while! Fantastic to see we have some graduates amongst. Well have had no signs of ovulating and no signs of PMT which I usually have by now but am guessing it is my PCOS playing up and my cycle is off the radar again! (usually between 24 and 32 days)

Hopefully there will be more graduates in the coming week.

mumabee · 20/09/2009 00:01

Congratulations hollyoaks . Wishing you a safe and healthy pregnancy. (There must be something to having fingers and toes crossed after all)

Baby dust and good luck to all.

Hollyoaks · 20/09/2009 07:51

Thankyou to everyone for your kind messages. I'm feeling a little nauseous at times but I don't know if thats ms or psychological because its sinking in. I'm very happy by the way just really nervous.

Checked dates and it seems I'll be due at the end of May so caught the wrong bus in the first place but it's got me where I want to be.

Welcome Ski good luck.

Fingers crossed for everyone on board

nymphadora · 20/09/2009 08:49

Anyone experience migraines as symptom of ovulation? Always got migraine at same point in the month and now I am off the pill it has started again. Just about kicked it but it makes for a difficult w/e as it's been dd2s bday and she had friends sleeping last night.

MadScot · 20/09/2009 10:50

Day 15 and still -ve on cheap OPK from e-bay. I caved and bought a clearblue monitor, my excuse is that it was on special offer at chemist. Sick of having signs then getting bfn. Will try a month on clearblue then off to GP if still all -ve .

loopybear · 20/09/2009 16:13

Nmph Iget migraines the day before my period, mine are definately hormone related!

nymphadora · 20/09/2009 18:05

Mine arent that close to my period , mor elike I have one then a few days off then a week of PMT then period so it may fit with ovulation?

Still -ve on opk though

Firerise · 20/09/2009 19:14

Hello all,

Hi Ski nice to see you over here! Massive congratulations to you Hollyoaks ,I bet you are delighted!!!!

I'm a bit down today and not holding out much hope this month as even thought we decided to keep trying I don't think we have done it enough to give it a good chance and don't think all the stress of this week would have had helped.

Does anyone know about any antihistamines that are TTC friendly as all packets I have seen say not to take them if you are trying or pregnant so I have become the sneeziest person there is and its driving me insane already!

Just a thought MadScot but maybe you have ov'd but just not tested at the right time to see it happen? I think mine only showed a positive for a matter of hours as I had tested the evening before and after and got negatives but showed up in the morning in between even though all the stuff I have read up on them this month says its better to test afternoon evening. If I hadn't have been so obsessive thorough with my POAS action I would never have known. Fingers crossed the CBFM picks it up for you nicely! x

EmNotPGYet · 20/09/2009 20:15

Hello, can I join please? I'm a bit confused about the stats though. This is my first TTC cycle - just off the pill so I don't know my UCL (assuming that is cycle length rather than anything to do with the well known university in London). CD? What's that?

MrsRigby · 20/09/2009 20:17

Evening

Congratulations hollyoaks .

Welcome skihorse. loopybear your not alone, I have PCOS and my periods (when I get them) and cycles are screwed up too. I don't even know if I'm ovulating .

nymphadora I've had a headache and runny nose all day, everyday for 3 days now . I'm thinking I'm either pregnant or will be before I'm due .

firerise runny nose and/or sneezing is an early pregnancy sign.

I've got everything crossed (but not my fallopian tubes) that we all get a BFP this month.

As I said, I'm feeling really hopefull this month - I'm setting myself up for a fall aren't I .

Well DH has already been forwarned that we're having sex tonight - CD13. Okay so having PCOS and longish cycles I know that it's not guarenteed that I'll ovulate on CD14 or even at all, but I'm hopefull.

WickedWitchSouthWest · 20/09/2009 20:20

evenin ladies!

I'm back from a v fab weekend surfing and drinking and dancing (minus hubby & small person) so I feel like shit and look like shit and have had a blissful couple of days not thinking about ttc! Now coming down with awful head cold and I hurt all over, so that should put me off symptom spotting for the next week

catch up coming up!
congratulations hollyoaks!! lovely news to come back to
thanks gingerbics I think I will make an appt to see the gp for early next month and just make it known we've been trying a while and see what she suggests.
hello ski [waving] sorry to see you've had to leave the May Bus.

WickedWitchSouthWest · 20/09/2009 20:23

where did the rest of my msg go?!

Hi mrsr good luck with tonight, you never know so it's best to keep at it I didn't realise that runny nose was an early pg sign. Argh.

Welcome em CD is cycle day, so day 1 is first day of your period. Do you know where you are and one of us can update the passenger list

liahgen · 20/09/2009 20:39

Hi all

mrsR good luck with next few days

wwsw glad you had nice weekend

I always get a really stuffy nose very early on when I'm pg

My birthday tomorrow but can't possibly test till Friday really. God I'm so impatient.

Was yentatively hopeful this month but am now getting usual aches and pains associated with bloody red mist

I had conversation with dh the other day, he was asking me if we all talk about our ttc efforts, was quite amused really when I explained, Oh yes in some detail.

MrsRigby · 20/09/2009 21:31

Welcome emnotpgyet. Good luck .

Runny/stuffy nose and/or sneezing is a common early pregnancy symptom. It's called pregnancy rhinitis and occurs in the first few weeks of pregnancy.

I know all the pregnancy theory, it's just the practical I'm not that good at .

I've just sneezed 3 times and DH keeps asking me if I'm pregnant as I'm being moody.

I'm soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo not pregnant.

UmBongo · 20/09/2009 21:35

Evenin all!
WWSW, sounds like you have had fun, and with the priviledge of being "I" not "we" for a change!
nymphadora, you are not the only one who is a bit over keen with the sympton spotting, I can do it even in the gap between finishing period and having sex!
MrsR your dh is not the only one one a warning this evening
liaghen Happy Birthday for tomorrow, and good luck for testing this month, hopefully you will have the best present at the end of the week.

Good luck to all this weeks testers

liahgen · 20/09/2009 21:59

actually we are doing it for fun this evening. How's that for pushing the boat out,

thanks bongo that would be a great pressie.
