Loujalou · 17/09/2009 08:59

Hollyoaks loving the one less thing to do. Made dinner early last night so we could pop to bed early whilst we had the energy.

Don't think I will ovulate til Saturday but might as well give it my best shot.

What is Deanna's plan?

nymphadora · 17/09/2009 09:42

Got my zinc- wondering if all the shops are having a rush on it! Going to start doing the ovulation tests today, prob too early but I need to start somewhere!

Dp is taking this all very seriously nsideting ut was supposedto be just not using contraception & starting properly after the wedding

Ladyemmalou83 · 17/09/2009 11:59

DH keeps forgetting to take his zinc, have reminded him that his sperm will swim backwards, but he is convinced he has homers simpson sperm anyway, men, pah!

Wohoooo Day 6 and AF has gone, yey, time to get on with making a baby!!

nymphadora · 17/09/2009 17:45

Opk neg today but didn't do test til 5pm how much difference does it make?

Wasn't expecting ositive yet anyway

Ladyemmalou83 · 17/09/2009 17:58

Does anybody else get achy hips/pelvis during or after AF? or is it just my freaky body?

I havent got the foggyiest clue when I'll ovulate this month month, cycles have gone very irregular. Think DH and I are going with the every other night BD, and see what happens. Shall have to look at ovulation symptoms rather than pregnancy symptom

liahgen · 17/09/2009 19:19

Well I am 2dpo now, only 12 to go. Had good temp rise today so good indication that ov took place. Now I wait im patiently.

nymph I would expect opk to show good result at that time of day, between 2 and 8pm I believe. Usually do mine when I get back from school run at 4pm.

Good luck lady enjoy

Sorry so idea about aching hips, bloody hornmones.

MadScot · 17/09/2009 19:37

LOL at all the DHs being forcefed vitamins and zinc. My DH was not given a choice but did freak at the idea of Dad to be ones and wanted just a normal vitamin with added zinc. I go for regular accupuncture for other stuff and she is also working on my fertility and I am convincing DH that if he doesn't knock me up in 3 months he shall be going too. He is not impressed, my response, get a move on .

Quite lucky as he is enjoying sex on tap and is usually the one to jump me, we shall see how long that lasts for!

Been using OPK since Day 7 and it's really wearing thin now. I get signs that I am ovulating but then kit says negative. Only day 12 but thought I ovulated early last month which is why I missed it but now just and about having to make such an effort!!

Plus FF won't accept me. Started applying at work, got distracted and tried again once home and now won't let me join. Really wanted to start charting temps next month as not convinced by OPK.

liahgen · 17/09/2009 20:07

I told dh yesterday that if i'm not up the duff tjis month, then next month we're getting vits

His response

"oh god, there's a plan B, I didn't know there was a plan B..., I just thought there was a plan A"

Bless him.

nymphadora · 17/09/2009 20:08

Thanks liaghen

dp took his zinc like a good boy & has started him on his supplement obsession again. Lining them all up with his tea

Hollyoaks · 17/09/2009 21:07

Hi ladies, not much to report today but have been reading all your posts. Good luck with the zinc, hope you get some strong swimmers .

Gingerbics good luck with the house move.

I'm not sure when af is due, on my shortest cycle it would be friday and on my longer cycle (an probably more common cycle) it would be Sunday. I don't want to waste many pg tests like I did when ttc dd and I only have one in the house. The temptation to test is strong but I know if its -ve af won't arrive and then I'll buy more tests and they'll be -ve and it will all be due to me thinking about it too much .

On the other hand if I don't test af won't arrive because I won't know. Oh, what to do? Any ideas?

Woofie · 17/09/2009 21:16

Hey ladies,

Hmmm zinc, must add to shopping list

Well if my cycle's like last month, I should be due to ovulate in the next couple of days, but both dh and I have got streaming colds and frankly shagging is not an attractive prospect right now. Perfect. We managed to be reasonably frisky at the beginning of the week, but worried we're going to miss the window again... I HATE ttc. Narrowly avoided blubbing at work today due to the combo of illness, ds's cold keeping us awake for most of the last couple of nights + desperate but fading hope for a bfp this month...

Crapsticks. Sorry about the moan.

madscot i'm with you on the OPKs - they stress me out. Charts show i'm ovulating, but never get a +ve opk at the same time.

Woofie · 17/09/2009 21:18

hollyoaks - hold out til sunday if you can. i think disappointment of af is less bad than disappointment of a bfn, and if it's a bfp it will be stronger by then... Good luck

Firerise · 17/09/2009 21:20

Hi,

Been a bit absent this week as all of a sudden things have gone awry and need to vent..... I found out on Monday that I am being made redundant so we decided not to go for it until can sort a new job.

Yesterday morning I think I had a positive on the opk as both lines were equally dark (though it seems early as only day 12 of 30??). They have been really faint on the days before. I tested again yesterday evening (only 12 hours later) and has gone back to being really faint. We had both set our hearts on TTC but everything is suddenly become so uncertain as financially I need to have a job but yesterday evening we probably made what most people would think is a wreckless descision to keep trying this month and went for it ??? Are we being a bit too reckless???

With regards to supplements we both rattle when we walk - I have the sanatogen mum to be which has a multi vit and an omega 3 capsule as well as zinc and Royal jelly and DH has beroca and zinc every day plus been force feeding DH avocado, spinach and garlic !!! Love the idea of some people are sneakily secreting vitamins in their menfolks food and drink!!

Hollyoaks · 17/09/2009 21:31

woofie good idea.

Firerise I don't blame you one bit, I'm a strong believer in fate. Whatever the outcome of this month was meant to be and I'm sure a new job will come along. Sorry about being made redundant though.

MrsRigby · 17/09/2009 22:01

Evening

wickedwitchsouthwest DH takes my Pregnacare . He likes to be healthy and really wants another baby so I didn't have to say or do anything .

cosmosis welcome to the June bus .

loujalou I'm in exactely the same position, DS is 10 months old and teething (he already has 6 teeth).

firerise I'm so sorry you've been made redundant .

Right, I'm off - to have sex with DH . I'll be doubly happy if I get pregnant as it will mean I can take a rest. Even DH is getting bored of all the sex.

liahgen · 17/09/2009 22:02

we are having the next 3 or 4 days off sex

MadScot · 17/09/2009 22:27

Firerise sorry to hear about your job . I too am a big believer in fate. Is there ever a good time to have a baby?

Waiting for DH to come home from work so I can jump him. Sorry if TMI. Day 12 and gearing up for the long haul over the next few days...Although he did phone to say he would be this late and could he wake me for some BDing when he got back. He is now well trained . And more than a little scared at the idea of accupuncture needles and where they go, hehe.

Hollyoaks · 18/09/2009 07:45

Ok ladies despite woofie's sound advice I decided to test last night anyway. The lure was too strong.

Anyway with the last wee of the day and with af possibly not due till sunday (if this was one of my long cycles) I got a v v v faint bfp!!!!!!!!!!!! [grin} This was on a cheap Asda own brand test as well.

Now I've had bfn's before and they always appeared definately -ve. So this faint faint line isnt just the line which would show where the +ve result would be is it? Its definately there, and still there this morning.

I'll have to test again just to confirm it but I think I may be pg.

Woofie · 18/09/2009 08:48

COngratulations hollyoaks - sounds like you're pg!!! How exciting. Here's hoping the line keeps getting darker

Well despite our mutual snotty unattractiveness, dh and I managed an early morning quickie today and no sign of temp rise yet, so maybe haven't quite missed the boat yet...

Off to Boots to stock up on vits today - thanks for the tips, ladies!

kkas · 18/09/2009 10:25

congrats Hollyoaks made me go all tingly inside. So happy for you!

Ladyemmalou83 · 18/09/2009 11:00

Conratulations Hollyoaks!!!!! Wohoooo another graduate!

Spent a tenner on lovely vitamins for myself last night. Aparantly B6 is good for women and the monthly cyle, got the new 7seas one that contains all my daily needs, bloody pricey though, better be worth it, lol. Am still debating whether to have a daily asprin, shall have to read into that one a bit more.

Hollyoaks · 18/09/2009 11:23

Thanks, I'm on MN at work which I never do as I'm trying not to be, but super excited and have noone to share it with but dh and you lot. Oh and we mentioned to dd this morning but I think at 19mo she'll keep out secret.
