sweetkitty I'm so sorry to hear about your MIL. I hope your family is doing ok.
But what a wonderful thing, that her passing made you realise you were ready for and wanted another DC!
And I think it'll be the same for me -the in-laws might have wished that we were married, but in the end it won't matter. At least I hope so. Or who knows, maybe we will tie the knot at some point?

To all the newcomers, welcome!

And [waves] to everyone else

sweetkitty · 05/08/2009 21:54

Immaterialgirl - thank you we are doing OK I've had quite a dip today, feeling very sad keep expecting her to phone me up asking for an update on the DDs and telling me some silly story bless her. I think having DC with someone is more of a commitment than being married in some ways, if you are married you can get divorced but walk away, if you have DC with someone they are the father of your DC forever and no matter what they sill remain a part of your life.

Welcome to all the newbies wow this bus is getting busy, SK budges up, I feel like a grand dame on here, this is my fifth time TTC I should be an old hand at it by now I think.

Kaylo · 05/08/2009 21:54

Hi Girls - I really am struggling to keep up with this thread!!

I am counting down the days before we can start TTC then I can join you in the symptom spotting and the rest of the joys of TTC!! Although, with my other 2 pg's I didn' get any symptoms until 6 weeks, and that was just extreme tiredness - followed swiftly by nausea [green but not with envy emoticon]

I hope you are all well. I'm sorry this is not more personalised - theres so many posts!!

xxxxxxxx

Kaylo · 05/08/2009 21:59

Just noticed...lisa1976 and eveywoo77 af was due today - anyone know how they got on?

Any sniff of a bfp is good news to be shared with all....

Medee · 05/08/2009 22:08

As my first post-pill period has arrived, I guess I can now join a TTC thread, having been on the WTTC thread.

Month 1, CD2, no idea on my usual cycle as the first one was a ridiculous 43 days!

Spirael · 05/08/2009 22:18

Firstly, thanks for all the advice everyone! It's much appreciated.

I haven't read the book you suggested, PistachioLemon. For now, I think I'll wait and see what happens for this cycle, in case I've somehow managed to nail it first time. Unlikely, I know. If/when I get a BFN then I'll pop up to my local library, see if I can grab a copy and master this whole fertility thing!

I've been pondering the temperature situation a bit more, and I have a suspicion that I took my temperature a bit later than usual over the weekend, due to not having to move quite so early for work. Apparently that might have caused the slightly higher temperatures, so it could well be that those two results were incorrect. Which would mean, assuming my temperature stays up, that I likely ovulated on Monday..?

So... Since ovulation seemed likely to occur two days ago, then I presume I can stop the frantic BDing now and give my poor DH a rest for a bit while I go slowly mad during the 2WW?? ;) Though maybe I ought to grab him again...just to be sure!

Kaylo · 05/08/2009 22:44

medee HI! Are we the only 2 graduates from WTTC? Nice to see you over here!

Kaylo · 05/08/2009 22:44

spirael Go grab - one more for luck

sky27 · 05/08/2009 23:08

Spirael Adjust temp - 1/10 for each half hour later and + 1/10 for each half an hour earlier than normal time, according to info.

Pistachio Still faint line but as I had no lines yesterday and v. high temp this morning?!?!? Think it was dodgy reading as it was the first morning I didn't wake up early to check because it was playing on my mind.

Nancy yes kept todays 2 until DH saw and I knew I wasn't imagining it. Depends on tomorrows

Hello to anyone i've missed, I can't keep up. Any BFPs or BFNs?

We need our first GRADUATE

OP posts:
Spirael · 06/08/2009 12:27

Well, now I'm really confused. :S Temperature dropped again this morning. I'm starting to think that my body is doing this deliberately, just to throw me off! Either that or the thermometer is posessed...

I guess I'll be grabbing DH again later, just in case ovulation hasn't happened yet. He had the night off yesterday, but now he's going to be back on duty for the rest of the week!!

PistachioLemon · 06/08/2009 12:36

Probably best to keep going, just in case (at least until FF pinpoints ovulation).

I have to say though, my temps jump around a fair bit, some months worse than others and generally I can put it down to taking my temp too late or too early, or not being well(or most recently because the battery on the thermometer was running low). Also, it's really quite difficult to spot a true pattern until the end of the month and it's best to look at them once you've done a few months - hopefully you won't have to though.

So DH and I have decided that we're going to have a go at every other day this month... hope we can keep it up (ah hem)! Wish us luck. This is cycle 9 for us so the novelty is sort of wearing off.

Mickbell · 06/08/2009 13:26

Hi Ladies, I did an ov predictor test yesterday and it was positive, so have been bding loads, so after today it will really be the 2ww, I hope it goes in quickly and we have conceived this month! my left ovary is actually really sore at the minute, i am praying the egg meets the sperm! baby dust! xox

fotheringhay · 06/08/2009 13:43

Fingers crossed for you Mickbell!

HellsNB · 06/08/2009 13:56

Great thread... I wonder how many pages it will run to?!

It is great to check in each day and see what's happening, I like the handy daily reminder of which CD I'm on!

This is cycle 2 of TTC for me but my first cycle of temping, I'm using Fertility Friend to chart for me.

All very exciting

Hells

ImmaterialGirl · 06/08/2009 14:07

Best of luck Mickbell! You and I are on the same CD, so I might try to up the BD'ing over the next few days. Have no idea about my cycle yet though, so it probably remains guesswork for me

Good luck for those already in the 2WW and those who are coming up to OV.

sayanything · 06/08/2009 16:22

I'm also desperately waiting for AF NancyPreg - I had a chemical pregnancy last month and I think this cycle I've been all over the place. I don't think I ovulated, so I think next cycle will be the one for me. I'm with you Kaylo, my cycle twin!

Sorry the AF got you Everywoo and good luck to everyone on the 2WW.

liahgen · 06/08/2009 17:08

Yep, I agree PistachioLemon. Until I know for sure either way, it's better to be safe than sorry!

I'll keep temperature checking, just to see whether a pattern emerges. But in the meantime, DH should be home soon... Muwahahah...

NancyPreg · 06/08/2009 17:27

Bad luck eveywoo , we'll all be wishing you more luck and sprinkling the dust for you again soon though.

PistachiLemon I guess we won't be hearing too much from you over the next month!! Good luck with every other day - I might have to start trying that soon.

Did HPK today (I really must step away from them) and BFN again i'm getting really frustrated now and wish it would either be a BFP or AF would come along so at least I could get on with starting again. Had cramps the other day but nothing has happened since then. That's the problem with being such a control freak like me and having to plan everything, when you can't control it it's bloody annoying Anyway, I feel better after that little rant - thanks

Mickbell I'm sprinkling lots of dust for you too

sky27 · 06/08/2009 20:13

eveywoo Sorry to hear AF got you.

liaghen Could it be implantation - if it's brown there is a good chance it could be. Did it last long?

I think we need a double decker, this bus is busy. It's great to catch up each day it's as addictive as facebook!

Two more very feint OPKs, due to ovulate Friday but i'm hoping it's gonna be early as I might have to go away for the weekend without DH. I'm sooo impatient
