MrsRigby, so sorry you got left off!

Reading back over your posts, you say you've just got AF after a long time. The first day of your cycle is the day you get AF. For instance, my last visit from her began on Sun 26th of July, which means I'm on day 17 of my cycle (CD17)

It doesn't matter if you don't know the length of your cycle, a lot of us don't, and it is of course impossible to know with PCOS, but at least the cycle days make it a bit easier.

Best of luck!!

xxx

ImmaterialGirl · 11/08/2009 10:35

Oh, and Cycle simply means how many AF's you've had since you began trying. Again, very difficult if you have irregular periods, but if you've just started trying now then I suppose it's Cycle 1.

hth!

MrsRigby · 11/08/2009 10:51

Thanks ImmaterialGirl

At least I can now update my details with the cycle. I can't remember the exact date AF visited me, but it was near the end of last month.

MrsRigby · 11/08/2009 10:56

What does UCL stand for?

MrsRigby · 11/08/2009 11:03

UCL - Usual Cycle Length

Was looking through the previous messages. Doh

Yeh, that one should be easy with PCOS .

I forgot to say ImmaterialGirl, good luck to you too. Good luck to all of us. It's so hard, why does it have to be so hard?

No problems

UCL stands for Usual Cycle Length. Mine is a questionmark, as I suspect yours will be too.

The average woman has a cycle that lasts 28 days, and ovulates on day 14, but reading these boards you quickly realise that few women are average!

I'm hoping (and as far as I can remember from when I was younger before I started the pill) that my cycles are fairly regular, so in a few months I should know better what mine is (provided I've not gotten lucky by then -fingers crossed). It may be more difficult if you know you are irregular, so you might have to stick with the questionmark...

The CD should however help you a little bit in terms of when and how often you can test. I'm planning on testing around CD30 if I haven't seen AF by then...

If your AF was near the end of last month, then you should be around CD13...

ImmaterialGirl · 11/08/2009 11:10

oops, x-post!

Yep, best of luck to all of us!!!

Ladylou83 · 11/08/2009 11:38

Ok question time:

Im now on day 10 and am still having cramps, there actually quite crippeling. Is this ok? I normally get AF then cramps stop but they have carried on. Am wondering if it is just gonna be a month of cramps.

Does anybody else imagine themselves walking around with bump? I think I'm turning into 'JD', always in a day dream, hmmmmmmm...maybe I wont admit that to my shrink.

Welcome to all our newbies, hope u enjoy MN and the may bus as much as I am

Bettymamma · 11/08/2009 11:43

Hi ladies

Hope you're all well. Can i slip on to this very large bus? You may remember me from the April bus - i said i couldn't get back on until July because my dh has to be away for 5 weeks in June 2010. Well hormones rather than sense have taken over and look where I am again

Loujalou · 11/08/2009 11:45

Looks like af is on its way so will need to jump on May bus

Oh well another month of trying. Only on cycle 4 so shouldn't complain but did conceive on 3rd cycle last time... Onwards and upwards..

Ladylou83 · 11/08/2009 11:47

Positive mental attitude! Welcome to May bus Loujalou and Bettymamma

Bettymamma · 11/08/2009 12:55

Thanks Ladylou83 - i appear to be sitting right next to you on the bus list! I like to think we are in the non mad part of the cycle. I REFUSE to symptom spot this time and if i do - i want to be pushed off the bus.

NancyPreg · 11/08/2009 14:08

Welcome to all the newbies and Scheisse and merde to all those who have been accosted by af .

Loujalou do you know your stats and I'll add you to our ever expanding bus!

Bettymamma good to see you back ready for more action

Not much happening here atm....yet more waiting [yawns]!

OP posts:
sayanything · 11/08/2009 14:35

Congratulations Gargula and sorry the wicked witch got you Liahgen .

I'm on hols atm, but (for once!) I just wish the AF would come already, it should've been here by now. I just want my cycle to go back to normal so I can symptom spot and count and everything. Bah.

Lots of baby dust to you all...

MrsRigby · 11/08/2009 14:43

Thats what I'm guessing ImmaterialGirl, lots and lots of sex for at least the next week. Not sure when to test though .

Ladylou83 I'm walking around with my right hand on my tummy all the time, does that count? I've really convinced myself that I'm pregnant. I've had cramping or something for the past 2 days, I've attributed that to the fertilised egg implanting. Oh and it just feels funny down there and inside. Yep definately pregnant, well until I get a BFN or AF comes to visit

What is it in law inocent until proven guilty?

Right well I'm pregnant until proven not pregnant.

Welcome Bettymamma and Loujalou, good luck to you both .

Ladylou83 · 11/08/2009 14:43

Bettymamma I agree, were still in the saine bit of the bus. I'm hoping to keep it real this month, (no pressure, just enjoy it), but I know what I'm like. We can keep each other in line

zayja · 11/08/2009 15:11

Well, I've just decided to give up the pretense of being sane during this insane TWW. Like you MrsRigby I'm walking around with my hand on my belly talking to a little bean that may or may not be there.

Last night I was so tired I hopped in bed early and when my DH called, I told him I was "on bedrest, with the babies an' all."
He said babies!? ... Well, there's got to be more than 1 in there wreaking so much havoc! Otherwise it's gonna be a MEAN visit from wicked ol' AF!

zayja · 11/08/2009 15:13

BTW sayanything, did you POAS yet to see if you may be PG?

MrsRigby · 11/08/2009 15:36

Zayja I don't think any woman can be sane whilst TTC.

Of course I was never sane in the first place

Ladylou83 · 11/08/2009 15:40

Just been into Exeter and made DH walk round numerous baby shops, ha ha ha. Well he made go round the computer shops....Revenge.

fotheringhay · 11/08/2009 16:08

MrsRigby, I love "pregnant until proven not pregnant"!

NancyPreg · 11/08/2009 16:35

All this chat about being pg until proven not so is very . I would like to think the same but given that I haven't even ovulated yet, it would be bit of a streeetch!

OP posts:
SnowBunny1 · 11/08/2009 16:41

Ha Ha mrsrigby, I love pregnant until proven not pregnant too. {grin}

So I'm joining the group of imagining the bump and have cut out the wine completely but am having trouble remembering all the other lovely food that we have to give up and had dippy eggs yesterday - whoops.

Still no AF and BFN last week so will wait now and just enjoy the feeling of thinking positive , it's also helping me be less obsessed about a BFP. I am a graduate in waiting

Hello and welcome to all the new passengers, enjoy the ride, this is a great bus to be on!

Ladylou83 · 11/08/2009 17:02

Silly Question: Are cramps a sign of Ovulation?
