Cupcake You're a wealth of tv trivia!

barbie1 · 21/07/2009 16:13

honestly cupcake the first words he says to me when i return to work, is not the old greeting of how was your day babe....its 'let me look/ feel your jubs!'

I have no idea where he got that word from nor as he when i asked...silly silly men.

oh and i would love to read your book, ill proof read it by the pool to see if it will really make a good holiday read

mm1509 · 21/07/2009 16:17

Hi ladies just checking how curly got on and fab news about her bean.

gracie how frustrating of you work colleague, especially someone who should know better, just a thought but I would be surprised if someone did see the message without leaving a comment, I would just pretend it didn't happen and sit tight. And btw I second what barbie says not if but when you switch bras!!!!!!!

As for all the talk of boobs I have went from a C cup to a DD this time, got measured last week and switched to mat bras. Can't say I am too impressed with how they look but I must admit they are bliss for comfort.

Anyway been baking chocolate brownies with DD this afternoon so passing them round for you all to enjoy mmmmmmmmm.

iggypiggy · 21/07/2009 16:27

How would I find someone who does acupuncture and is good near where I live?

I know somewhere that does it - but no idea if they any good...

today

MummyLovesSadie · 21/07/2009 16:33

Where do you live Iggy? I'm feeling a bit too.

GracieGirl · 21/07/2009 16:35

Yummy choc brownies MM!

I have messaged the person in question and told them off. Cupcake yes I think you're right only mutual friends should get a comment on their newsfeed and they will all be work colleagues and thats not too bad. I've had no emails about it yet so hopefully no one saw it.

Iggy do you need a group hug? Is it worth looking at your mumsnet local site and maybe asking the question on there?

Neeko · 21/07/2009 16:35

Hugs for MLS and Iggy

barbie1 · 21/07/2009 16:42

iggy hug for you and mls

To answer your question google registered acupuncture in your home town, generally the top three names are the better ones, or go on to your local hospital web site and they should also list ones they recommend, where is your area i could look for you?

gingermumi · 21/07/2009 16:57

iggy hug for you and mls , sorry you're feeling crappy, wanna share?

GG thats so wrong, you are quite right to be annoyed. Best bet to keep schtum and hope no one saw the post, you'll soon know if they did so prob best not to charge in and say anything to family if you're not ready.

on bras, with ds i was really uncomfortable from early on and especially at night so I bought some sleep bras from mothercare, not very glam but comfy. Got quite a nice bra online but can't remember where from. Mothercare stuff is quite nice if you buy the more expensive stuff, the cheeper ones are very 'cotton utility', the last thing you need when you be feel better about yourself!

MummyLovesSadie · 21/07/2009 17:17

Oh yes I started wearing sleep bras when I was pg 2 years ago & still am! I now hate the feeling of my boobies being free to roam all night. The one's I'm wearing at the moment are from Primark & come in a two pack. They are basically like soft, seam-free crop tops. I'm not huge in the boob department to really need them (36dd) but I feel more comfy at night in them.

VJaybigpants · 21/07/2009 18:57
BlueMoon1981 · 21/07/2009 19:37

for curly's jumping bean

bluesatinsash · 21/07/2009 19:51

Yummy Brownies MM you domestic goddess you

re: wired v underwired - all I did was take the wire out of my bras (all two of them that I rotated ) and had no probs with milk supply - regularly could squirt across the room.

Iggy and MLS - some days are just like this - pants... Wait 'til the mid-cycle hormones kick in and you'll be all a flutter x

MrsKate · 21/07/2009 20:00

gracie i saw it and i wanted to delete it for you

i really thought she wouldnt do that and she has not been at work and cant be at work so who has told her ???????

anniebigpants · 21/07/2009 20:03

Cheers for brownies mm, theyve gone down lovely after my spag bol-yummy!

Hugs to MLS and Iggy Gracie-Cant believe someone announced your pregnancy on FB. I would be bloody fuming as well.Hopefully no one has noticed.

Im still in underwired bras, but lady at the shop i bought them from says as long as they are properly fitted so they dont squash milk ducts they will be fine. I went into non underwired ones last time at 12 weeks, i found them so ugly and unflattering, they seemed to seperate my boobs so they were almost at my sides, and make them look pointy.

hopingalways · 21/07/2009 20:16

woo hoo curly I am so pleased to hear that!

moon I was exactly where you are, with the house bought just for baby that never came to be. after mc#2 I couldn't even open the door to the nursery for 3 months. what I found helped was to turn it into a craft room, decorated to be turned into a nursery later without too much faff! what's your favourite hobby? turn it into an art studio/yoga room/tv den/computer lab as a place to spoil yourself until you hand it over to your lo. hang in there lovely, it will get better .

jools gutted for you, it looked so promising!

gracie fb is a tool for evil sometimes. my sil did that to me as well in 2nd pg. I let her off as she was 15 at the time, but your freind should know better!

cupcake you gotta meet my dh - he's on his 2nd novel right now, and technically this is what he is doing until term starts again. actually he is doing housework and decorating out of guilt for making me be breadwinner, but technically he is a full time writer too!

sabs I forgot to post the knits before I went on hols...expect them in a week or so!

vjay green, peach or lilac, what colour hat would you like?

ginger nice to make your aquiantence!

cat's not letting me play with the kittens they keep crying if I pick them up they're soooo cute though, how can I leave them alone!

going to follow iggy's lead and email you a piccie, not technical enough to post photos!

Neeko · 21/07/2009 20:45

I have the munchies tonight so thanks MM Yum!

Moon How are you feeling today? Have you talked to your DH yet? Think Hoping's idea is a great one. Hope you've managed to pick up a Brownie or two. I've saved my last Fab icelolly for you too.

MrsKate How's the symptoms today?

Gracie Did your "friend" get back to you?

Blue Very impressed by your wire removal!

MLS Hope you're feeling a bit better. I started wearing sleep bras with DD too and now wear the jammies with the hidden support vest tops. M&S do nice ones for bigger cup sizes and they make great lounging around the house clothes too. I'm nornally in mine by the time I've put DD to bed. My DH knows it's been a hard day if he gets home at tea time and I'm already wearing them!

Iggy Hope you're feeling better too.

gingermumi · 21/07/2009 20:51

waves hello to hoping

MrsKate · 21/07/2009 20:59

MummyLovesSadie · 21/07/2009 21:15

Neeko I always put mine on when dd goes to bed too! We rock!

Hoping whit-wooooo! You look nothing like I expected.

MummyLovesSadie · 21/07/2009 21:27

MrsKate crampy pain are good, that is what I get when pregnant.

Neeko you didn't tell us about your mare of a day.

Curly where are you? Congratulations, so relieved for you.

right I'm off to bed as I've been up since 5am with dd [frazzled emoticon]

Curlywurlee · 21/07/2009 21:51

Thanks everyone for all the posts, texts and general handholding. I don't know what I would do without you guys especially as DH couldn't come today. Seeing the bean was amazing, it was an actual baby!!! Trying not to get too attached but it was so magic

Let's have some more happy scans this week with annie gracie and maybe barbie

Snap on the boob size barbie hmm that just sounds weird lol at you sniffing your hair.. not something you could explain too easily if anyone noticed

gracie that's so annoying and thoughtless of your colleague. Just ignore, chances are no-one saw it

Jools that stupid cow AF, she was meant to stay away from you this month. Yay for taking some fluffy drugs though, hope your back gets better soon in time for bd'ing

ginger sorry about your EDD this week, it's really hard to think of what could have been Lovely to hear about your three babies though

iggy both DH and I felt like that - we didn't want to ruin what we had by getting too scientific about it. I guess we were also a bit overconfident because we got pregnant so easily twice before . After 5 months of trying we gave up that idea In the end we agreed that we were just going to have sex every couple of days, like in the deanna plan and DH was (very ) happy with that. I kept a sneaky eye on the opks and the minute I saw a stronger line, we bd'd that night and that as they say was that!! It's also good to start earlier than you think you need to as it feels less babymaking related then. I'm sorry you are feeling sad honey. Just hang in there for another little while, we'll be celebrating your bfp before you know it

4ever sends her love to everyone. She says she's doing well, just taking a break from all our chat and having a dose of normality for a while

cupcake how about writing a book about us? And meatloaf's moobs

VJ you are asking for an early delivery!!!! Now go pack the rest of that bag

Neeko pull up a chair and tell us about your day! You're back in the nice cosy cave now

MM thanks for the brownies, they will look lovely next to my icecream (I might just look rather than eat them )

blue I love your random theory - I reckon you are so right

mls are you doing okay? Any sign of ov? Big hugs

annie H cup... wow My DH would probably go into shock with happiness if I got that big I have a hand to hold for you and Gracie on Friday xxx

Moon thank you so much for helping me through today. I clung onto your thought that bean didn't need the scan and it really helped. How are you today honey?

hoping just saw ur email, those photos are gorgeous . I'm beginning to feel positively frumpy Totally love your wriggly bean dance!

mrskate fingers tightly crossed for you

lots of love to all you lovely ladies. I'd be lost without you xxx

MummyLovesSadie · 22/07/2009 07:32

Af arrived today 14 days after erpc, hurray! Normal service can be resumed at the MLS battle bunker & today could be the first day of my pregnancy.

GracieGirl · 22/07/2009 09:02

That's good news MLS. I'm really hoping that today is that date you give to the midwife to date your next very healthy and very sticky pregnancy.

I'm just off into work to find out what they plan to do with me instead of a job looking after swine flu patients. Feeling quite nervous about it actually.

iggypiggy · 22/07/2009 09:13

Thanks everyone for your hugs/ thoughts - was just having one of those days - been bit sad since AF started and for some reason was not good yesterday. Feeling much better today tho

MLS am in South London. So sorry you had rubbish day yesterday too - but good news about AF - love the idea it could be day 1 of your next PG... That means I could be on Day 7 and I haven't even BD yet

curly you are so lovely - I read your post last night actually and it made me feel so much better. I decided to talk to DH and explain that I was feeling a bit sad about everything and am so glad that I did. We agreed that it is def what we both want and that we must try a bit harder. I am so pleased that you saw your bean - you so deserve it. All the girls on here do. xx

gracie hope the office job is ok - I used to work for the NHS until 3 years ago actually... Hope you get something good!
