This is a thread for those who will be/are TTC with Clomid and those who have successfully conceived with Clomid.

They scan on cd 10 to see if you have ripe folicles which hopefully you will this in turn should mean you will ovulate, I didnt get scanned but got bloods done on cd21 to tell me if I had ov'd

Hiya ttcvee its a nightmare when you odnt know whats going on. We have been ttc since last April but when I stopped the pill I never took any periods, this was very strange for me as I have never missed except when I had DS (who is now 10) this made the doc check my bloods and he sent me for an internal scan, this proved I had polycystic ovary syndrome and I was given clomid. Try not to worry when taking it I had mood swings and hot flushes unfortunately for me I only ov'd once on it so I am now going for an echovist scan, kind of like the xray you got. Some clinics dont offer monitoring depending on circumstances and post code I got bloods done on cd 21. 28 and 35. Hope this helps a bit

Welcome, Dont be nervous about starting clomid you will be fine, I am on my 5th month and it has just become apart of my life, Its normal now,

You will start on 50mg and they will most likely scan you around day 15ish and you will probably have day 21 bloods done aswell but everyone is different but thats what happens to me, If you do get scaned on your first month and you have ovulated they probably wont scan you the next month ( Thats if you dont fall pregnant) but if you havent ovulated they might keep you on the same dose and see how you get on, It can sometimes take a couple of months for your body to start reacting to the clomid, If you still dont ovulate after a couple of months they will increase your dose (im on 200mg) You may suffer some side effects ( Headaches, Sickness, Tiredness, feeling a bit misrable) Everyone on here gets some of those but its very rare to get them all,

Like yourself not many people no my partner and i are ttc so it can be very hard sometimes but we are always here for you when you feel like a moan, Remember we are or have been through the same thing. XX

Im alright, Going to cardiff tomorrow with my partner for a couple of days, Cant wait to just relax,

No my consultant doesnt no that iv started taking clomid again coz she said to wait untill i come on naturally but i started taking it the day i had my D and C so it acted the same as having a period and starting it then, Think i ovulated on Wednesday ish so ill ring my consultant when i come on in a few weeks so ill get scanned next month, Think it should be about 6 weeks from D and C to first period so should be due on in about 3 weeks,

was at consultant a few weeks ago and had released 3 eggs so she told me not to try but we have been anyway... af due this sat so we will jus c wot happens, hav been gettin period pains 4 the last few days so dont know wot my result is goin to be cos i also remember havin them last time aswel so u can never tell can u really.

CD 25 now. Still bleeding. Had results back. No infection (ie Chlamydia), just a bit of thrush. I don't believe thrush does this to women, so I might try to get down to the GP again on Friday.

It's a week Friday that I go back to see the gynae. Hopefully, I'll be put on Met and perhaps Clomid (with proper monitoring this time).

Hey clwc Are you going to ask cons for met? Mine didnt want to try any other drugs except clomid at the start but its different all over the uk lol. You must be glad to know theres no infections or anything chick, you may just be suffering a long bleed due to pcos, hope it stops soon

stac, I highly doubt that my consultant will want to give me anything that I want. She's a bitch not a very generous or nice person However, I'll give it a go.

well ladies af isnt due until saturday, but did a pt this evening and it came up PREGNANT 2-3 wks cant get my head round it but not gettin 2 excited until i hav a scan after wot happened last time.

dreadin goin to my consultant as she told me not to try at all this month cos of the many eggs i released, im sure im in for a good old telling off.

2 weeks stac thats great then u will be able to get answers and try another method, hope u keepin well.

im out on a hen nite this sat havent been out in ages, and guess who will be drivin now

clwc I know what you mean about the not nice cons, mine put me on clomid before checking my tubes bugger that he is lol I've not been up to much, looking forward to scan (well sort of I have heard mixed reviews on the pain it causes)

stac, last time I saw the cons (over a year ago), I felt as though I'd just been fobbed off. She spoke to me like I was a couch potato who couldn't take her eyes off the telly, and I told her that was how it came across too. She told me to lose weight, to take Dianette, and to come back in 6 months. When I told her about my thyroid, she said it was nothing to do with her and didn't want to know.

I think I need to be referred to someone else.

Hi clwc if she is the same this time, ask to see someone else, my cons says the thyroid will also affect ttc even if its under control. Hopefully you will get a better response this time.

Hi Girls.
So I'm looking to pick your brains. I'm on clomid. Took 5 pills starting July 14th. Was told to start TTC July 21st. So hubby and I had intercourse Tuesday and Wednesday, and tonight(Thursday). But after intercourse tonight I had some pinkish (assuming blood) discharge. It's way too early for my period, but is it too hopeful to think it may be implantation bleeding from just 2 days ago??
Probably wishful thinking, but I just thought I'd ask if any of you ladies had experienced it?

Think its to early for implant bleed hun soz to be the bearer of bad news, an implant bleed would normally occur around a week to 10 days after ovulation although you may have ov'd early will keep my fingers crossed for you xx

have first scan on monday to see if im ovulating or not, trying to think positive but i know that i probs wont be ovulating this early into clomid, hope everyones ok x

hey girls have been havin the most horrendous pains, phned my doc on fri and she says its far to early if she brought me in 4 a scan so have to wait til 4th aug 2 get 1, but pains feel very familiar to the ones i had last time so not getting my hopes up, we r just actin as if we are not pregnant and then mayb it wont hit us that hard this time if it is bad news.

Aww lauren hopefully its good news on 4th Aug, just hard having to wait so long hun, keeping fingers crossed for you and thinking of you loads

jen you could have ov'd on the clomid on your first month, Claire and I were just unlucky for the first couple of cycles, for me its cos the clomid doesnt work for me, with Claire it worked when the dose was increase so dont be disheartened.

Well had my scan and as I expected I wasn't ovulating so they are doing day 21 bloods and then uping the clomid to 100mg so will have to wait and see if that makes a difference. I hate PCOS its so annoying! Hope everyones having a good day x

Hi jen sorry you've not ov'd yet but you may just be late wait till cd 21 for bloods, I know exactly how you feel bout the pcos our bodies seem to have to work so much harder nightmare!!

Hey claire glad you had a lovely hol, how have you felt this month back on the clomid? yeah I am looking forward to getting the scan out the way but so scared in case its sore (heard various different stories)

Wales is great, isn't it Claire? I'm only slightly biased (It's even better when the sun's out though)

CD 30 today. Still bleeding. It's doing my nut in now. I can't wait until Friday.

Also, DP thinks he has swine flu. He's such a hypochondriac! lol. I shouldn't say that really. I might be eating my words in a couple of day's time

on first clomid cycle (50mg)

CD 24, expecting AF thurs or fri(unless clomid or hcg lengthens cycles - i forgot to ask doc/nurse)

got faint pos line on HPT this am.. (first response - up to 6 days early one).. hands up.. stupid move

completely terrified.. it's been 2 yrs since i've seen more than one line on a test! (ended in m/c at 12wks)

any chance this is left over hcg from trigger inj i had on 16th (CD 12)

CD 10 - CD 18 felt like abdomen was going to explode, digestion shot, psychotic.. had a day of ov pain after inj and bleeding 2 days later just for half a day..then it all just suddenly stopped 3 days ago.. bloating gone, not such a demon etc

anyone else have any experience of stupidly testing early and, well, ending up totally gaga? and potentially heartbroken..
