stac14 - We have been TTC for a year, and this is my first round of clomid...I guess I was expecting miracles this month, but I am presently CD 28 and no symptoms, nothing I ovulate regular - we just haven't been getting pregnant. We have a 2 yr old litte boy now - conceived first try! So, not sure what's going on this time round. MY doc gave me rx of clomid for 3 months - if nothing happens after that I will go to specialist for tests. It's hard...it's stressful. THis is all I think about. I'm healthy, active, 36 yrs old, wondering if my age is a factor. Each day I look for a symptom, something that tells me I am pregnant...anyway...that's my story. I've been reading a lot of this message board...has there been any success stories on here???

kimpin · 22/10/2009 21:12

So sorry to hear about AF Tembie - I'm in the waiting game now too....ugh...what kind of funny feelings were you having? I'm CD 28 and going crazy not to test...I took one about 3 days ago and BFN - not getting my hopes up. AF due on Sat.

stac14 · 22/10/2009 23:21

Sorry af got you tembie we will miss you but hope you get on to let us know how you are.

kimpin I have 10 year old ds who was concieved v.quickly also but this time around when I stopped the pill I had no af at all for 9 months, gp was great about checking me out as I had always been regular with af and got me to see the consultant in December last year, unfortunately its still not happened for us but I live in hope. There has been some success stories on the thread, 2 girls I was on here with before fell pregnant with twins and one has had 2 boys the other is about 16 weeks or so gone. I hae heard lots of good things about clomid so dont be disheartened hun xxxx

Littlemissmischief · 23/10/2009 10:43

Hey Ladies, going to try and catch up now...

Popsy - Thanks for the advice hun, also can you tell me where you get the wellman for your DP from, in the shops ive looked there is only woman ones? Hope your feeling better hun.

Kimpin - Thanks for the advice also hun.I have everything crossed for you for tomorrow x

Sevans - I was sure I had ovulated because I had some weird cramping on the one side, i have everything crossed for you x

Welcome Jo

Stac - thanks for asking hun, im feeling better now thanks, got over the inital upset and just focusing on getting through the first couple of weeks of this cycle and then try to relax (yeah who am i kidding!).

Tembie - so sorry AF got you, see you soon x

Think Im caught up, sorry if I have forgot anyone.

Not much to report here, been taking the Clomid at night and not suffering half as much so thats good . Im REALLY annoyed with my cons secetary though, like I said in my last post she didnt ring me back so I had to ask a oncall GP who said to count the 1st day as CD1 so I took the clomid and then she rang me yesterday and said to not count the 1st day, so I told her it was a bit bloody late because Id already taken it . So hoping it still works this month, they have also told me I wont have a CD21 test again as I ovulated last month but really dont feel happy about it because it was an extra reassurance if that makes sense?

Sorry for the massive post x x x

popsy1 · 23/10/2009 13:15

Hello littlemissmischief feeling slightly better although feeling low, but hey ho i'm sure you've all been there! Thanks for asking hun.
Makes complete sense about your reluctance not to have 21 day bloods, it is a reasuurace that things are going right. We argued this and thankfully are going to have them this month. Think it depends again on 'postcode' don't give up though. We gave it a month with no monitoring then as we weren't pg said we wanted to know that me ov wasn't fluke.
I get DPs Wellman from Boots, it about £8 and is on 3 for 2 at mo. Think i'm gunna switch my folic acid to a vitamin and folic acid one.
Sorry Af came tembie hope your trip away isn't all work! Take care hun.
Anyway CD13 for me and no feeling of ov, need to feel better as its that crucial time of the month.
Sorry for long message, but home alone and bored

love to all
xx

sevans · 23/10/2009 15:19

Yes, littlemiss that does make sense about day 21 bloods as reassurance that you ovulated. Are you going to try to see if they will change their minds? Good luck if so.

Popsy, I'm on CD 14. I forgot that we were cycle buddies! I have no feelings of ovulating either but I don't really know what to expect. I take my temps and haven't seen a rise yet so I am guessing I haven't ovulated.

babydust to all!!

Littlemissmischief · 23/10/2009 15:24

Thanks girlies
Is it normal for them to continue the CD21 bloods even if you have ovulated, is this what happens with all of you? x x

kimpin · 25/10/2009 16:07

Hello girls...CD 31...I took a HPT this morning....BFP!!!!! So weird, I had a dream last night that I took a test and it was positive..I immediately woke up and took the test, and sure enough....BFP! I am thrilled, as is my husband!! I just pray that this is the good one. And I also pray that this is the start of a good month of BFPs for all of you.

stac14 · 25/10/2009 16:51

LiLew · 26/10/2009 11:17

Congrats kimpin! That's great news hun, I'm so pleased for you!

How are you getting on stac14? Has AF arrived yet?

xxx

kimpin · 26/10/2009 12:20

Thanks so much...this was my first month of clomid - ttc for one year though.

popsy1 · 26/10/2009 13:07

Congrats kimpin so pleased for you. First time lucky hey . Xx

sevans · 26/10/2009 13:32

CONGRATULATIONS kimpin!!! So excited for you

LiLew · 26/10/2009 16:16

You must be over the moon kimpin! I can't ever imagine getting a BFP - I think I'd pass out haha! Have you had any pregnancy symptoms?

I've just got back from the consultant. He said that I can stay on the Clomid for another 8 months (so a total of 12 months). I've got another appointment with him in 3 months but he said that if my cycles go longer than about 35 days then to make an appointment to see him sooner and he'll consider referring me for IVF. Let's hope it doesn't get to that!

xxx

stac14 · 26/10/2009 18:54

Hey lilew still no signs of af, but 2 negative tests so not holding out much hope of bfp, thats good your cons is being on your side and heres hoping you dont have to have ivf hun.

Hows everyone else? xxxx

kimpin · 26/10/2009 18:54

Thank you all of you girls...LiLew - I am over the moon...still think this is all a dream. I'm trying not to get too excited right away - as I still fear the worst could happen. BUt as far as preg symptoms - nothing really....other than I feel really bloated - REALLY bloated...fuller bbs and slight cramping off and on...that's it. I really felt my AF was going to start the day before it was due...and it just didn't come. I am still in shock, and just praying that all goes well. What about you Lilew - how long have you been on clomid?

kimpin · 26/10/2009 18:57

stac14 - what is your cycle day?

popsy1 · 26/10/2009 19:15

Hi all.
Lilew any ideas why yr cons said to contact him if u go past 35 days? I start on day 36 last month! Xx

popsy1 · 26/10/2009 19:27

Hey ladies forgot to ask has anyone ever had lower back pain as a symptom of ovulation? On CD 16 and had cramps and cm but today had alot of pain in my lower back on the left hand side that lasted approx 20mins. Never had it before.

Xxxx

sevans · 26/10/2009 19:33

popsy I was about to post a similar question. I am not having back pain but am on CD 17 and feel a slight cramp where my ovaries are. I don't really want to call it a cramp because it isn't painful. I can just feel something there, like a twinge maybe. I feel it more on my left side. Has anyone had this feeling around ovulation time? I really hope this is a sign on ovulation...and for you too Popsy!!

tembie6699 · 26/10/2009 20:23

what did i tell you girlies - its as if i knew ...am sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo thrilled and excited - more baby dust your way ..xxxx

LiLew · 27/10/2009 11:15

Oh how annoying stac14! It must be driving you mad hun! What CD are you on now?

popsy1 - cons said that if it goes past 35 days then I probably haven't ovulated, so we'll start to look at IVF if that's the case.

kimpin - I'm sure it will all be fine hun! It's strange how pregnancy symptoms are pretty much the same as AF symptoms - just to confuse us! I'm on my 4th round of clomid and have been TTC for 2 years now.

xxx

kimpin · 27/10/2009 12:31

I knew I ovulated when I had major pressure feeling in my lower abdomen, and some cramping...it was crazy the amout of pressure I was feeling... At one point, I couldn't even walk straight...but that only lasted a day....the pressure and cramping lasted about 2 days.

Livvigirl · 27/10/2009 13:06

Hi there,

Just to add to your thread, I have been having treatment for PCOS and tried Clomid - did'nt work, so my Doctor did the ovarian drilling thing, then put me back onto 100mg of clomid, this was the first month - and I'm pregnant!!! So just to say keep going you will get there!! I was trying for 2.5 years. x
